I'm a Kansas City Missouri native and I've lived all over the country. I moved to Milwaukee about 3 years ago I just left recently and it was only due to the winters just lasting too long for me, but Milwaukee is a freaking awesome City
Sorry to hear that, hope your stay here was decent. And yea there are a lot of cool quirks here and you can live a good inexpensive life here that is IF you can deal with the weather.
I'm considering taking a really great job offer in Madison, but omg it seems like it would be a tremendous difference from where I'm originally from. I grew up in Austin, Texas and I now live in Dallas. I love it here, it's a big city made up of roughly 1.5 million people. Hearing y'all say Madison only has around 600,000 people kind of freaks me out. I've never been a small city type of girl, idk if it's the right move for me or not 😭
It is definitely going to feel smaller then Dallas but will have plenty to do and the action and amenities of a larger city. It's not for everyone but it's the best of both worlds in my opinion.
Wisconsin is a great state, but Madison (state capital of Wisconsin) is better for me than Milwaukee (largest and most populous city of Wisconsin). Wisconsin have greater cities excluding Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Riverwalk is fantastic. And the Hilton Milwaukee City Center use to be the Schroeder Hotel was so very elagant. The Fiserv Forum home to the Milwaukee Bucks was also a unique experience.

I am seriously considering moving to Milwaukee, and hadn't really considered living in Madison because Ann Arbor left a bit of a bad taste in mouth after I was living there for a while. But I hadn't considered that Madison might be nicer than Ann Arbor, for anyone who has lived there or could compare, is Madison really as progressive and sort of out there as its reputation lets on, or is it a little more down to Earth? I want to avoid living in a place with a strong hipster/hustle culture, I like places that actually are relaxed. I visited Milwaukee and was impressed with what an underrated big city it is--it has great public parks and a beautiful downtown, plus its neighborhoods remind you of a smaller yet thriving version of Detroit. What I dislike about Ann Arbor is the pretentiousness of the place. Is Madison also down to Earth like Milwaukee, or is it also sort of full of itself? I'm not trying to offend, just trying to get some honest feedback about what the people are like. There are hippy towns where people are just hanging out barefoot, and then there are hippy towns where the hippy-ness is just a façade for shameless micro-brewery capitalism.
Oh man that’s a hard one to answer with everyone’s opinion being so different and subjective. I guess you’d have to visit determine for your self. If you do you’ll have to spend some time exploring state street, Williamson st, campus, as well as the farmers market on Saturday mornings in the summer on the capital square.
Hi @Joe and @Krystal - WOW your video is helpful. I was checking the Univ and difference and saw your VIDEO MY QUESTION is relative and you can surely answer for sure - Which city for an outsider would you recommend specially if someone wants to make a #University entry and live there ! Just came across this video today and since I was researching the UNIVERSITIES and the place I thought I'll ask you guys 🙏 *Does anyone here know the difference and any great university both in @Wisconsin **#Madison** and **#Milwaukee** ?* Which one do I chose for the MBA or specially what I am thinking is Executive MBA - and would look for a great career and a career change after many years of work experience outside the states! *so is **#MADISON** Wisconsin School of Business Univ Wisconsin - Madison better or **#UWM** ((( does anyone know UWM - university of Wisconsin Milwaukee !))) ?* So I am confused which city to chose and which University among these and what would be a great choice ?. APART from this should I actual consider some other state and city or Universities alltogether like the more traditional ones and the more famous ones as usual and see the ranking and the bigger city too and does it make a huge difference ?? How is the job market and recruitment after Madison or UWM ? The advantage of UWM I saw was STEM EMBA and 2 YEARS AND weekend or 2 days classes and I haven't researched anything else .. but yeah I NEED IT TO BE "STEM" designated ! Rest anyone can tell me the feedback and the Jobs and Salaries and the reputation ?? The culture the people of these universities ?? And the OUTCOME ?? *I would really be glad to hear from you guys !!* Thanks 👍 Indeed ..

Milwaukee is a great city, but yes the winters in WI are challenging!

Glad to hear your Wisconsin fan, so many great areas and sights to see here!
@@livinginmadisonwi, the metro area of Milwaukee is the worst place in Wisconsin because of high crime rate, I guess.
Great Video!!
Thanks! Great channel you are starting there!
Milwaukee is great and incredible.
Glad to hear you love Milwaukee, what’s your favorite part?

@@williamotto7746 Love the Riverwalk, it's been a while since I've been there, I need to get back there!
I love your videos dude but if choose one as a Dangerous city it will be Milwaukee correct me if I'm wrong guys
Your train picture is from Seattle. That's not "The Hop".
I love Madison WI. It's a lot more better then Milwaukee by far.
I like Madison better as well, Milwaukee has some great features as well. Thanks for watching!
Nahhhh 414 anyday
Lol Hahah thanks for info on the Millennial population, that should be enough to keep me away lol and staying put here in MKE.
Nice 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Anything we missed?
No, it’s great
Great!
No discussion on diversity between both cities.

I didn't realize Milwaukee has a train system. Good to know.
Yeah I didn’t know prior to my research either, it is good to know!
The trolley gets in the way and is so noisy to live next to.
It doesn't , it only covers one side of the city

Depends on the part of Madison, the west side is pretty down to earth. The east side is full of hipsters
