@@mrkemblegilstrap Those were the times when you could go into your local Dodge or Plymouth dealer and order up just about any combination you could think of and spend $2800 to $3800 and drive away in a true muscle car.
@@billjamison2877 oh for sure! Locally Crevling Dodge was the deal. They were a Direct Connection dealer. Chrome valve covers, purple cam, gaskets and everything possible for the 413 in the profile photo.
A modern high torque gear reduction starter sounds close. I have one on my 401FE and I had one on a 408 big block Chevy. As I said, pretty close. I've had several Mopars too, big and small block.
Les young timer américaine sont vraiment de pure merveille leur looks leur donne vraiment de la prestance je kifferai avoir une young timer américaine heureusement qu'il y as encore des gens qui leur redonne vie a ces pépites
Same year, but black, was my parents' daily driver around 1970-73. Take it to get groceries, stop at the bank, drive me to school, weekend excursions. They clearly didn't know what they had, lol. Lucky gas was cheap!
Awesome👍👍 Did you make a similar video a few years ago with the whole exhaust including tips? The orange rr was on the right. The plate was covered as well. I had made a CD of that sound and a few others and would play it for people and ask them to identify the sound. Every one said some kind of heavy metal music! 👍😜😃
I love the Hemi orange with those black steel wheels. It’s ready to eat some Chevy’s and Fords. Did the camera hit the oil pan ? My buddy had a ‘74 Road Runner, but it only had a 318, but it was an Interceptor motor out of an old cop car and it was Sassy-Grass Green with the black stripe on it.

Loaded up way to bad, use to be my favorite ride, last one we saw at a wrecking yard, same color, wht interior, 440, 4sp, it hit a telephone pole side way's, we tried to buy it but owner didn't wanna get rid of it,
Nice RR If you get a chance to listen to a Video clip of SpinTech several different versions, I used to be big on Super 44 but since I have switched I perfer SpinTech or DYNOMAX SUPER TURBO If your after that DEEP THUNDER GROUND POUND THATS WHAT DYNOMAX Gives do to Fiberglass material I like 1969 outside of Tail Lights I'm not sure 68 differs much
IDK. Back in '82 i bought a 69 bee. The motor was a burned up 383. Pulled the back seat out and found 2 build sheets. Both were rubber stamped 440 sixpack in red ink. The hood appeared to be a factory installed fiberglass. The rear end was a 8 3/4" w/3.23's. The leaf spring bolts and everything else looked factory. The other day i was watching Cars & Zebras drag racing and they had a A12 RR that also had the 8 3/4" rear and he said it was an option. That only hemi cars got the Dana option for sure. You can see a little of my bee in my profile photo. That is a .040 over 413 going in.
Nothing beats the sound of a Big Block MOPAR in the morning!!
I especially loved the hollow sound the exhaust made till it warmed up 👍😃
I spent a lot of time at York US 30 Dragway in Pennsylvania in the late 60's early 70's. The sounds were Heaven to my ears. Best times of my life.
@@billjamison2877 i think i hate you. No no just kidding! Wow i wish i could have been there with you. I can only imagine. Awesome👍👍😃

Love the car, the sound, the video, and the way the driver respectfully lets this machine wake up.
I love the sound of the starters on those Mopars! Love it when it takes a little cranking to get them started!

Bestial Mopar! I love that power of the A12 Road Runner. Beep! Beep!
Сердцебиение этого мотора, бальзам для моих ушей
Nice car you should really raise the idle a little for oil pressure reasons and run zinc additive for the cam also
Rotella 15W 40 is all you need !!

Great video, love me some old school V8 with flowmasters!
Great sounding Bigblock
sounds great...but it's really running 'rich' ... try smaller jets perhaps...I can see it with the dark exhaust and I can hear it...
I’m not the biggest fan of Chrysler, but that 440 is mean😎
Nice ride bro, someone put some money into her. I'm hard and not ashamed.
That is super cool
Absolutely!;-)

Is the choke busted?
Some days are just big block 440 days...
The only thing I can think of that sound comparable to this at start up is a B-17.
Your idol sounds too low is it even cracking 600 RPM? Otherwise she's a beast when properly tuned
Can I get some specs on ride height, wheel specs, and tire sizes? That stance is perfection on that Mopar.

It ain’t no a 12 cause they all had Dana 60’s and lift off hoods and was the only road runner in 69 with a 440.
