    Current in one coil does not induce a voltage in another coil that is magnetically coupled unless the current is varying in time. It's not enough to simply have 2 coils to be magnetically coupled.

    As a practical matter, I would have described the primary as the driven winding as secondaries are typically wound atop it for the best coupling.

    Sir if i short secondary side and measures in primary side by LCR meter then it is leakage inductance of primary side OR overall leakage inductance referred to primary side??

    Why is there loss of 14v from hand wound toroid transformer output with
    separate winds on core not overlapping. The frequency of primary was
    matched to source AC, the primary and secondary windings are in same
    direction and entire ring core is covered with wire , but 2 separate
    sides. I thought the core under Primary caused induction into separate
    secondary windings. Desparate.
