  • The Choppers 1961 full movie. 1960s crime drama film starring Arch Hall and a group of leather clad "teenage" hot rod hoodlums who roam the back roads in search of classic cars to chop. Between harassing the local populace, dealing with girlfriends, they manage to work in a little rock and roll between crimes. Good clean drive in movie fun. synopsis by - Broken Trout -

I think this one was one of the last'' youth delinquency'' drive in's that the studios were producing before they turn to "beach" movies. By the early 1960's, this genre was not making enough money at the Box, so the "good kids" were in. Anyway, hope to see more of them coming up. Thanks Trout!

The movies they used to make back in the day, right? 1961 was my birth year and the movies the moviemakers made then were excellent, especially the B movies.
This one in particular was made in such a way that you just basically felt like you were there watching everything that was going on as if events were happening in real time, so it was, in this movie buff's opinion, a well-made movie, so I hope everybody enjoys it as much as I.
So, I seem to use the word 'so' more than Beto O'Rourke,
so that probably means I'm a dork.

By far (for me) the 2nd. best, Arch Hall Jr. film I've seen, to date. That is, behind 'The Sadist'. And, it was fast paced, also. Here I am thinking that, those 'chop shops', of the '90's, we're somewhat new. This show's the same actions, 30 years prior. They would've loved, the catalytic converter prospect, later on☺️. Big💵 , then.

The Sadist is ridiculously good. I had never heard of it before I watched it some months ago and was so shocked by his demented glee. The actress who played his girlfriend was also terrifying. Arch Hall Jr's performance reminded me of Don Stroud's in The House by the Lake (1976). Another one of my fav's.

These kids comprised the SILENT GENERATION. They grew up to be rebels delinquents and rocknrollers aka ELVIS. Very soon they became conservative married and raising families. They gave birth to GEN X a feral mean and apathetic group. The silent GEN would be in their 80s.

I've been trying to find the soundtrack for this movie for a while. I like those Jazz excerpts they use, does anyone know the name of the composer?

Interesting but not real interesting to me since I was a teenager at that time and it was really close to how life was then . Reminded me of a few guys I knew back then and some of them ended up like that bunch . I never did get in to the stealing like they did I got out and got a job .
