Never forget that James Lucas AKA Peetz grabbed BBJ, shook her in front of his webcam, and yelled "SHE'S FIIIIIIIIIINE FACK OFF!!!!!" knowing good and well that she had nails growing into her paw pads and needed medical attention. Chantal and James deserve whatever unhappiness comes their way.

I had to put my baby boy kitty to sleep almost 2 weeks ago because he had chronic kidney disease. My baby was only 12. I went without grocery money to make sure my baby was taken care of the last month of his life. I sit here with tears in my eyes wishing I could have just one more day, 1 more hour with my baby. How dare she do this to an innocent, sweet soul.
FFG, you're a saint for two reasons: 1) You and people around you rescued BBJ, and gave that poor kitty the vet care she desperately needed. 2) You exposed, clear as day, Chantal's lies and disgusting abusive behaviour in a way that NO-ONE can deny, least of all Chantal. The ONLY reason she wanted to take BBJ to the vet before handing her over was so that she could try to cover her tracks. She 100% would have rather killed that cat before letting anyone actually see/understand how neglectful she was.

She ignored her. She told 1000s of people online that she was going to put BBJ down for no reason. She is a cat abuser. There is no way they would give BBJ back and she did the deal with your sister in law. She's living with your sister in law. Sure she didn't know that was your brother but she didn't ask either. the comment about the 'cardboard box' took me over the top. to think she would rather have this poor furbaby euthanized and put in a cardboard box rather than know that this cat is now more comfortable and already received vet care says it all about this one.

100% agree that she was right to avoid letting Foodie take the cat to her scheduled vet appt. She had openly discussed having her put down and she might have gone through with it if she'd gone that day.

Last year BBJ was vomiting & shaking, after constant harassment from her ‘beezers’ she FINALLY & RELUCTANTLY took BBJ to the vet, only to be told her nails had grown so long they’d actually curved round into her paw pads, making her shake & vomit in pain. She said - out of her OWN mouth - BBJ needed to go back (I can’t recall whether it was a few weeks or a month) for another check up, for a nail trim & blood work.. she NEVER took her back. This was around the time Roman came in as a side character.
My beautiful lulu was just shy of 21 when she passed peacefully at home in her sleep from old age. She had arthritis in her paws, not uncommon in elderly cats, so she couldn’t open her paws far enough to use a scratching post to scratch her nails down. I trimmed her nails EVERY week, & she’d peacefully lay on her back in my arms or on a pillow while I did it.
The fact she’s been left to get into that state again, speaks volumes on how little Chantal EVER cared for bbj. She cared more about ordering as much junk food, shoving it down her big gob, & getting high as humanly possible while driving under the influence, than ever caring about BBJ’s welfare. She doesn’t want bbj back, she just doesn’t want YOU or your family to have her ‘just because’, even knowing bbj is getting the best care / treatment & is incredibly loved, means absolutely nothing to her, she doesn’t care, she just wants to use BBJ as a weapon.
She evidently never even vetted who she was giving BBJ to, that alone sums up that she doesn’t care about BBJ’s welfare!
Quite frankly I’m glad you & your family have her, knowing she is safe, well & loved makes me happy.
