    Angle of view ki jagh field of view word jyda is concept ko clear krega... Bcz angle of view dekhne ka najariya hai.. Aur view of field kitna dekha gya hissa hai..

    Sir, concave lens in a diverging lens. I think convex lens (converging lens) in present in camera's.

    Good explanation but what difference does it make on the crop sensor vs full full frame.. for example if the bird is at 300 mtrs away flying or sitting…. If I use sigma 70-200 lens sigma lens f 2.8 what difference will I get in crop sensor vs full frame… secondly where will I get better image sigma 70-200 or 70-300 nikon 4.5-5.6… at maximum zoom it i.e at 200 mm and 300 mm

    Hi Buddy, Just a doubt . as per my understanding conversion happens in CONVEX lens and you said it's bcz of CONCAVE lens. Can you please clarify if am wrong ?

      Himanshu Bhargav yes bro...if you see the optics image it is clear that light is coming from outside and converging through different lens elements and the exact point of convergence is present in the concave lens......and where from the lights are diverging to hit the sensor....this is what I understand.

    If u ever had physics as your subject, u would know that focal length is the distance from the centre of lens to the point of convergence (where the sensor should be located). And since it's an array of lenses in a DSLR obviously the center here would mean the resultant center of different lenses in the array. Of course since the lenses are of different varieties, in the array, the resultant center may not be the same as geometric center of the lenses' arrangement.
    Focal length is NOT the distance between the point of convergence and sensor location.

      The Photography Blogger The site isn't wrong though your interpretation is wrong. It clearly states that the sensor or the film is at the focal plane. (it's a plane passing through the focus & perpendicular to the principal axis of a mirror or lens.) And of course focus is where the light converges. Hope this helps.

      +Dr Rajeev Gupta quoting Nikon, It is not a measurement of the actual length of a lens, but a calculation of an optical distance from the point where light rays converge to form a sharp image of an object to the digital sensor or 35mm film at the focal plane in the camera.
      Doesn't it say the distance between the point of convergence and the sensor?
      Not a science student, but this is what I know from my research.

    Dear, at the begining of the video, you were wrong in saying that "there is CONCAVE lens, through which light gets converged..." Actually it will be CONVEX lens... NOT CONCAVE lens.... CONCAVE lens never makes light rays converged... rather divurged... 👍
