Our children didn't come with a book of instructions and as parents we don't always get it right. The most important thing to remember on this journey whether you are a parent or a child is to humanize each other. We are all trying to figure things out so be patient with one another! I love the relationship Tia has with her brother. She always seems to have his back. She even makes sure he is taken care of in terms of refilling his plate and drinks. Love it!

My dad was one of the men in the family that financially took care of cousins on both sides of the family due to different reasons. Alot of my cousins looked up to uncle Joe and aunt Tulee and of course it use to make me mad but I became forgiving as I grew older because I realized that my cousins didn't all have a two parent home, or the income wasn't right, Bill's needed payment, children/school and doubt forget about holidays. He never complained he just did it without any expectation. I'am a single parent to a now 22 year old young man. It wasn't ALL easy, but by God's grace and mercy I made it. Thanks U all for sharing.

I had to learn when I got older why it seemed like my mom treated all 10 of her kids different. I have 5 and it’s true each one have their own personality so you have to deal with each one differently but you love them all the same. This was good.
Yes as a mother of 6, it took me a lil bit to realize you can't parent all of your children the same, because they are individuals. I think generally though it comes from a place of wanting your kids to feel equally treated and loved.

This was Excellent! Having conversations with our adult children has taught us so much. Our children were PK kids and the things the Mann children share are the same things our adult children have shared with us. Mental health is so vital. We need to have someone to talk to. A lot of parents don't want to admit when they've done something wrong. And I get it because they didn't mean wrong. But sometimes the way the child feels from the parents decisions needs to be addressed. I love this family. Keep talking and growing.

As a person with no kids, but desperately desires my own, I love what Tiffany said on this episode about the role she plays as an Aunt. I too am an Aunt, and view myself as a 2nd mother figure to my 2 year old nieces. It really does take an entire family to raise a child! I love y'all. When raising children you have to be consistent, honest and do all things in love. I was a talker when it came to correction. I’m very stern so my looks and voice let them know I wasn’t playing. I respected my children as children but they know I’m the parent. If they did something wrong I would explain why I’m punishing them. Then end everything in love. Kisses and hugs. There is no manual so just do the best you can with what you got.

I like how you said just because the kids turn18 you think their grown and you’re done. That’s what I thought. But I realize now that you’ll always have to parent your child no matter how old they are. We just have to recognize that the parenting has different seasons and chapters.
