This touches me to the core just hearing the plight of the children from Mr Allen. I don't have much to give but little is much when God's in it. I hope others will help 🙏
People be patient, learn the bigger picture, we just had a storm. Blocking road is hampering the progress! JPS workers are human being too, have to be working long hours and they have families Some of these JPS workers have no electricity restored either.
Jamaica ppl have to know that the country is small ND they don't have the manpower to get things done quick . just take America its almost 2 weeks since the hurricane hit Texas ND up to the time am commenting on this million of ppl there is still in the dark ND America is a rich ND big country . so Jamaica ppl got to have some patent
Irma and Ida people in America had to wait for weeks, and this was in US. Beryl affected Texas and still 12 millions people out of electricity / power. guys in JA 🇯🇲 be patience
The JPS made the community of Bluefields, Westmoreland pay to get the their power restored or said they’d have to wait another month! That is disgusting. It’s been two weeks since the hurricane. The JPS needs to do better where is the government support?
Folks I see lots of people complaining about something that is not a simple task. Electricity CANNOT be just flipped on after a MAJOR storm. Poles, wires, transformers and infrastructure MUST be repaired first. In America with thousands of workers and hundreds of vehicles taking care of reconnections care after a hurricane it still takes as much as 3plus months for the very last persons to get back electricity. PATIENCE is a MUST Jamaica. PATIENCE!
@@DiamondsCourtThe main reason it is taking so long is because JPS is unable to safely reach certain areas, blocking the road is making it worse. Its stupid, protest okay whatever wont change anything lol, but blocking the road isnt helping.
@@summaz_You are talking UTTER RUBBISH!! I am in Westmoreland and it took JPS 8 days to restore service to many communities that are easily reached and where very little damage was done to their facilities(including my community which is an easily accessed housing scheme)
Some a unu a compare Texas to jamaica ,this is a small island and jps should had been prepared and have workers on stand by in all parish , i pay alot of money for light per month and others do as well not everyone steal electricity in jamaica, clearly jps and their shareholders are the only one that benefits off selling electricity on the islands , every hurricane season they should employ more workers and have them on standby incase of any emergency..and i bet coming next month that bill won't fail to reach ppl on time and i bet you will be charged for the 2 weeks that lights was out...
Yeah...i really dont see why this issue needed political commentary....and mi a pnp😂😂😂😂 TVJ should have sought commetary from the rastafarian community as they were/are the ones impacted!
They didn't make it it political. It is inherently political. In this day and age people are preventing kids from attending school because of their locks and the government can't step in and say, none of that? Why you need a court to say that? Ridiculous!

While you have a point re same issue in Houston, JPS is merciless when it comes to overcharging customers. Jamaica is among the countries that pay the highest power bill. So, the frustration stems from that too. Center point in Houston has no such history.
