My mum took me out of school twice, once for 8 months travelling Australia and another time for 5 months sailing around South Africa. I'm now a marine biologist. Taking kids out of school for periods of time is absolutely fine and actually benefits the child in ways more ways than not through experiencing things they'd never would've experienced in school. Shame sounds like Ethan needs a break from everything. Burn out is a real thing, I hope you guys can have a little, relaxing holiday soon. Faith you probs know this 😅 but ovulation tests are a must when trying!! I was trying for 2 years before I used them and didn’t realise I wasn’t doing it on my ovulation days. I got pregnant the 3rd month I used them so deffo give them a go!

I’m a teacher and currently on maternity leave and I would do absolutely anything to stay off with my little boy. Maternity leave should be extended! But instead they’ve just given free hours at nursery because, shock, they want our tax. We aren’t in a position where I can stay off and I will have to go back to work to afford to live. Breaks my heart! ❤️
I’m going back after four months because the Mat pay is unbelievable.. we couldn’t save up enough for any longer. We have a mortgage to pay and mouths to feed. It’s sad really but I’m lucky to have parents close by to help with childcare!

I have a bit of a sore spot when it comes to the “taking children out of school” issue, my daughter is 14 years old, and has only half a heart (HLHS) which means she has already surpassed her life expectancy and is very unlikely to make it out of her teen years, regardless to this, we still can’t get permission to take her out of school for a holiday, not even when she had her wish trip, and for us, going abroad also means dropping £1k on an oxygen tank as she only has 75-85% oxygen, and in recent years this has been dropping, all she wants is to experience as much of the world as possible before her heart takes her life from her, and I just want happy, not heath related, memories with my child before I have to live the rest of my life without her (I’m only 30)
That's awful to hear, I am so sorry. That is appalling that the school is dictating what you can do with your daughter. I would take her out of that school regardless, they sound terrible. I took my daughter to Harry Styles the night before her GCSE exam! We drive home for a few hrs sleep then off to school to sit her English paper! Fuck it, it was her dream! Ps ZoZo = Zoe.. not a bruv !!
@imRx3 Not trying to be! She was predicted D at best in all exams because she has severe Autism & ADHD etc so I chose her happiness & dreams. She's in college now & it made 0 academic difference but it made the happiest moment of her life so I'm good with a random no one thinking its not cool lol

Faith my love ❤ honestly never related to you more than at the moment you guys started to talk about trying for baby no 2 😢 I had the EXACT same thing happen to me where we tried for baby no 2 for the longest time and honestly not many people talk about the struggle of trying to get pregnant a second time, we did finally get pregnant just over a year after trying with our little baby boy 💙 takeee your pregnancy vitamins when trying tricks your body into thinking it’s pregnant esp folic acid I’ve found I can’t get pregnant unless I take this and iron (us girls are so low on iron) & just know your fertile days x
