Thank you for championing the St. Lawrence Market area. I feel it is underrepresented and underrated by other realtors who get caught up with the newer glitz and glamour of King West.
City place in the middle of everything litterally. Close to parks, recreational, restaurants, the well, stackt, entertainment district, cn tower, Scotiabnk. All within 15 min walk.
the design district should really go all the way to parliament - the amount of density going up is impressive: giant purpose built rental at queen and ontario (with a concert space??), the menkes at sherbourne and front, time+space is now finished, bauhaus by lamb etc etc
Historically and even at present, people have pre-conceived notions about Regent Park. It used to be mainly about crime but, Toronto is filled with that now no matter where you live. I think it’s a gem. Can’t wait to see what Tridel does with the last 2 phases.
Humber Bay shores (Park Lawn and Lakeshore) is a fantastic area. Beautiful new and old buildings right on the water with lots of restaurants. It has a hotel resort vibe. You are right beside Humber Bay park East and Sir Casimir Gzowski park, Bike trails, walking trails & Humber Bay Arch Bridge. High park and Bloor West is so close. Sherway Gardens is not far. Just such a fun area.
indeed, right on the boarder. What they have planed for the area in the next 5-10 years Will be a highlight of Etobicoke .From the ‘Christie towers’ ( which I’m pretty sure the permission to use this name has been taken away). the parks, community centres and everything else will enhance the area greatly.
I think those are all great areas to visit but I don't think the age of people owning condos downtown are the same as *(young) people who would want to enjoy and party down there because they can't afford them until they get old and by the time they afford it.
Really depends on the price paid per sqft at launch. Some buyers will be waiting a while for that value to come back. It's your holding for the long term, that's a great area/building to own.
@ unfortunately I did not purchase at launch in 2017 for the $1100/ft. I paid much more than that. Bought an assignment. How many years do you think it will take to get back to $1400?
The Leslieville condo market is still moving well. Less condos and a lot of boutique style buildings, which buyers seem to like. Much different from the downtown core.

I live mid way between St. Lawrence market and Distillery. I love it!
Great work Tom. What are you top 3 buildings in each of your top 5 areas? Exploring that would make for another great video.
Tanks for clickinggggg...!
10 York St offers an incredible waterfront lake view 😍 Perfect balance of serene tranquility and the vibrant energy of city life!
Hard to go wrong with Tridel
Thanks Tom! Looking forward to the Midtown review

Happy Monday, Tom!
Same to you!

Awesome episode!
Toy Factory ROCKS! I have lived here for the last 6 years.
Great content. Very useful. I’m in the market for a condo currently.
Hey Tom good insights like always, do you have any view s on Trasit City Condos in Vaughan (5 Buttermill Ave) ?
@TomStorey May I get your opinion of Regent Park esp Daniels DuEast condo?
Historically and even at present, people have pre-conceived notions about Regent Park. It used to be mainly about crime but, Toronto is filled with that now no matter where you live. I think it’s a gem. Can’t wait to see what Tridel does with the last 2 phases.
@@jaayclyde21 Agreed, thank you!
I somehow missed Regent Park when making this video. It should have been included. Has come a long way, and lots of good options.
@@TomStoreythank you Tom!
@@TomStorey very exciting future ahead as well with Tridel taking over the remaining phases of revitalization
I was surprised you didn't say The Beach but then there aren't many condos down here in the first place, mostly homes. It's getting there though.
This video is just for downtown Toronto areas.

Some great options in Humber Bay. Only reason it's not in this video is because it's not technically downtown Toronto.
King Street West is horrible loud noisy drunks on the weekends, puke and fights from the 905ers that come down on the weekend

Besides the lakefront trail, there is nothing to do there, no stores or restaurants, or culture.
Thank you. Also interesting GTA areas for families.

anything connecting to The Path, really, for those long winters...
Why not north of queens quay but south of lakeshore between Yonge and Bathurst, with pinnacle centre, 100 harbor etc. ? Or was that part of waterfront
I would consider that part of waterfront.
how about bay street corridor ?
Thank you, very informative.. What do you think about NXT II? Thanks in advance..
To live or for investment?
@@TomStorey If you live there, it is your future investment as well. At least I think in this way..
Thanks for keeping the +ve on condos, it’s gloomy everywhere else!!!
Live in 231 Fort York and love it!
someone tell Tom movember is over.
this video is my favorite of 2024.

you missed Canary District! Great area right beside distillery
Go to 10:51 - it’s there!
How would you feel about making this same video but for western, northern and eastern Ontario?
Great idea. I would need to get several other area experts involved for something like that!
@@TomStorey I forgot your expertise is the GTA. My bad sir!
what is your opinion about 120 Parliament, please? It is not too far from both St Lawrence Market and Distillery
We have several clients living there. I'm not aware of any issues.
Hey Tom! Thoughts on Nobu high floor facing south with lake views? Thanks! ❤

Impossible to guess, some are saying 2029. So many “what if” situations.
@@TomStorey thanks Tom. Not the best news…..but have no choice I guess
what are you seeing for Riverside/Leslieville?
The Leslieville condo market is still moving well. Less condos and a lot of boutique style buildings, which buyers seem to like. Much different from the downtown core.
Didn't you already do this video?
That video was for freehold housing. This is brand new for condos.
Hey how about the city of Vaughan hwy 7 metro area all the new condos coming there, what’s your thoughts on the area and prices?
What about sugar beach area like 15 Lower. Jarvis, studio selling for more than $1200 sq t ft
That falls under “east waterfront” near the end of the video.
I wouldn't want to live in downtown Toronto anymore after the pandemic.
