I have the Dive Rite transplate with the 5.5# SS plate and Voyager Wing. I absolutely love my backplate and wing set up. It’s very comfortable. I really have never felt the need for the padding that the transpac has on it. When I am in Bonaire I will dive it 20+ times in a week and it’s awesome.
Very nice!, that's really such an individual thing.. like on the Scuba Pro Hydros, it's got a plate (very slightly rubber coated) most folks love it, and some not so much. Some Tea and some Coffee .. thanks for taking time to comment. Bob C
I dive the Transpac XT with a Voyager wing. I am very happy with the Transpac. The Transpac has great control both in the water column and horizontal movement. It is also extremely comfortable.
I have a deluxe harness with steel plate, with the venture xp wing. Wish I had the xp harness for the easier adjustability in the shoulder straps but I love my backplate and wing setup the best.
Hi Bob, great video! Do you think the transpac xt with a Voyager exp wing would work well on a cold water setup using a 7 mil wetsuit, booties, gloves, & a steel 80 tank? Thanks, Bob. Dave
Hi Steven, This question takes a few questions for you so I can answer. First, do you have plans to move into Tech at some point ? 2nd Are you traveling (AIR) with this BCD ? Regards Bob C
@@DiversSupplyYT I do not plan on tec diving, just recreational diving. I do think i would like to travel with my bcd that I purchase. Thanks for your reply!
@@stevenkim9081 Based on that, the XT Transpac would get my vote. I ready like the ExoTec but kinda bulky for packing in a travel (airline) situation. If just car/truck travel, I like the Exo... Regards Bob C
Just bought one and love it. Thanks Bob!!
Right on! Thanks for your note,,, Bob C

The DR units are super popular and can be worked around your style of diving, That's what makes them so good. Regards Bob C
👋🏻 bob can you do a video like making a few options for beginners, like a complete set up and budget ? Thanks 🙏🏻
Great idea ! I'll put some thought and effort into doing that.. Regards Bob C
What does the XT mean. Are all there bcds XT or they have non XT ones?
Dive rite is the only way to go.
Thanks for your comment. Bob C
The weight pockets are released by pulling the red handle for the quick release option.
Yes they do...
