Hey bro cheers for the feedback! Will do mate! I was planning to come over to the Cook Islands this summer but obviously that's not gonna happen. My brother in law is from Mauke, was there about 6 years ago when I wasn't into spearing, itching to get back there with a speargun!

Nice footage as always man but ya definitely hit the wrong spots. Good video to deter people from coming here nonetheless haha. The inside has been emptied, if ya have the lung capacity, try hit the needles.
Thanks mate. I use all sorts of gloves. But main go to glove is a leather amara glove. Still got enough feeling but strong protection. No gloves keep you safe from the crays though!

Yeah perhaps that's just the case of the inside as very easy to access on trailer boats from Auckland on a day trip now.. Back side might still Be similar to back then? I'm sure nowhere in the country is the same as it used to be unless at the Cape up north 3 Kings etc..
For sure I think I was just lucky and grew up in Auckland when we rowed out from Stanley bay and filled the dinghy with snapper or collected our scallops from Cheltenham beach after a blow and couldn’t find enough containers for all the Whitebait we caught off Devonport wharf . We were blessed 😋

It's a cray hook. Helped to get crays out of deep cracks or in caves where its impossible to get arms in otherwise.
