- The Pariser Einzugsmarsch ("Paris Entry-March") (Armeemarschsammlung AM II, 38) is a well-known German military march composed by Johann Heinrich Walch during the Napoleonic Wars.

If you look at the historical background it is because of the joy to have won finally and getting rid of Napoleon, French occupation or distribution of men and resources to napolionic France.

Die Franzosen haben uns auch mehrere Male die Greif-Kanone gestohlen, welche 1524 im Auftrag des Kurfürsten Erzbischof Richard von Greiffenklau zu Vollrads von Meister Simon aus Frankfurt am Main gegossen wurde!
1984 kam sie dann schlussendlich wieder auf die Festung Ehrenbreitstein zurück, allerdings als Dauerleihgabe! Sprich, die Franzosen sind die Eigentümer und nicht wir Deutsche wie es eigentlich sein sollte!

As an Englishman this poses the eternal question - why did we fight on the same side as the rotten Frogs and why did the English never earn a similar march ?? Maybe one day.
I think Britain feared Germany as rival, while we could've reached the stars together as allies.
English politics has always been characterized by forging alliances against the strongest power/competitor on mainland Europe.
First with Prussia against Napoleon's French, and then immediately with France against an increasingly stronger Prussia.
Even in 1914, the war was a welcome opportunity to eliminate the increasingly powerful German economy as a competitor.
(The obligation to label "Made in Germany" introduced in the UK was originally intended to protect the domestic market from supposedly inferior goods from Germany, but we all know today that this has become a seal of quality for goods from Germany)

Ehkem, have you ever seen photos of Warsaw after German occupation? In Poland they destroyed a lot of monuments and stole a great deal of sculptures and paintings
I can tell they did in my hometown and homecountry during WW1 while Germany was intact. I have nothing against Germany and just Im talking about History.
We destroyed cities too, but not to that level of the bombing of German cities in ww2, which is still unmatched.

Das Bild ist aber falsch, weil es den Eifelturm 1870 noch lange nicht gab❗😆
Ich glaube das ist ein Bild von 1914, da standen wir kurz vor Paris und das soll das Bild wohl zeigen. Feldgrau gab es ja 1870 auch noch nicht, hier im Bild aber schon. Steht ja auch " Der Weltkrieg" in der Ecke.

Eiffel Turm existierte nicht auf diesem Zeit.

Den feldgrauen Uniformen nach gibt das Bild die Wunschvorstellung von 1914 wieder. Bis Meaux - 50 km vom Eiffelturm entfernt - hat es ja geklappt.
