There are a lot of folks who have these old radio shows on their channel but yours is the only one I'v found the includes a brief description. Thanks. Oh, and your art work is the best!
. I know.... I realized it, a couple of months ago, so I've been commenting here and there, letting people know. Not sure why... I just feel sad about it... 💔💜
Just letting you know how much I appreciate your doing this. I'm so lucky to have experienced Mystery Theater the first time and the privilege to get to hear it again is such a pleasure. Thank you so much for posting these. Getting pretty close to one of my faves now which is called "Laundry Money". (Brilliant little comedic gem that I love. I can't wait to see what the artwork you choose will be.)
Thank you Chillie; I, too am a member of the original go around for CBSRMT, god how this helps me stay young and appreciate the simplicity of times gone by.
You always add a little chilly sunshine to my life with the stories you bring us. wounderful Time to sit sometimes at the edge Of your seat in the night to listen To the most wonderful way to Listen to mayhem and mystery Thank you always my dear friend. 📟📟📟📟📟👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Ok . wow . it took me by surprise. And for a few seconds, it totally freaked me out. I was in the tube listening to the last minutes , as looked at the picture of the girl under the water the picture started morphing then stopped, didn't really know if I was seeing correctly as I'm drying my eyes. Hit play back nothing happened, 3rd try it morphed for a few seconds almost at the end. Glad it did.. Never seen something like this before, really took me off guard for a minute..
Poor girl. First she escapes her parents and now the detective is pushing himself into her life. "Either marry me or the gig is up baby! 😆 C'mon c'mon! I haven't got all day, what's it gonna be? Me? Or your parents?"
A brilliant observation. I’m only 25 but I know that in the times this play is set women basically still considered to “need a man in her life”. Bringing this plot into the 21st century - I’d have her respond to his advances verging on demands that she is a lesbian and needed “a woman in her life…”. Actually as a gay man I’d rewrite it with the missing person being a gay man with a woman detective doing the sleuthing - and coming on to someone she doesn’t suspect for one minute as being homosexual and being rejected. Only two of the previous CBSRMT plays I’ve listened to even skirted with the hint that a character was possibly gay - but homosexuality was only declassified as “a mental illness” in the U.S.A. In the early seventies so producing a radio play dealing openly with homosexuality wouldn’t have been received very enthusiastically. Except by folks who were gay of course…
Happy halloween Chilly whoever you are 😨, listened for years now xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx best wishes friends, from Wolsingham uk,Google it, countryside heaven 💖👣👄
42:49 The commercial is yakking about high interest rates and my family is already getting squeezed by loan sharks and my brother in law looting the house fund to pay for his shopping sprees, forcing his wife to poach what little money I have (when I do have cash in hand) for essentials.
Once in a while I hear people railing against hope for the return of a missing loved one. It wouldn't surprise me if this 'trend' started to get popular, resulting in the dismantlement of many police departments' missing persons bureaus and ultimately the dissolution of the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. 'They're ten minutes late and they haven't called? WRITE THEM OFF'.
For weeks now I have been warning people to anticipate the return of the scary clowns this Halloween, figuring they would do so as an act of retaliation and revenge for the closing of The Greatest Show On Earth (easily a sin WORSE THAN MURDER), but the neighborhood has been as quiet as a ghost town. Do you think it's just the calm before the storm?
As an old Soldier, the CBSRMT, keeps me grounded and young at heart. Thank you Chillie.

Thus we a great story, it could be a modern day story. Wow, what people have to endure for the sake of others. So so sad!!!
