One of the most hyped fights at the end of a highly entertaining arc. Rock Lee is certified badass with an indomitable will and mental strength. He is such lovable character and is the perfect example of completely earning everything he has achieved with hard work, no tricks, no inborn talent. And episode 49, the whole guy sensei and rock Lee's relationship is so heart touching. Nothing defines rock lee better than this quote, "hero is not the one who never falls but the one who gets up again and again."
I can see the show growing on you every episode lol… you have no idea how much you will fall in love with this series, specially shippuden. it will literally change your life!
50 mark that is definitely an achievement, you can feel good about yourself this is a milestone :D I remember back in the day watching this when it was coming out, I absolutely loved Gaara, he was my favorite character, I loved his demeanor, his design, how ruthless and powerful he is, he is truly menacing, a real badass, I immediately bought the Naruto game for PSP and couldnt wait to play as him xD fun fact the English translation adds the Lee vs Gaara part, the original Japanese title doesnt say that, so its their fault for telling you straight, luckily it aint that big of a deal since its revealed pretty much right away in the episode and its kinda predictable :P they mix 3D for the surroundings here with the 2D :) the legendary moment everybody knows in anime, Lee dropping his weights xD I personally really like the moment Gaara substitutes himself once Lee drops him with the Lotus thats dope and intimidating :) Lee's backstory is great, very inspiring, makes you love Gai more as well :) I always found it kinda funny how the Gate of Shock is located in the crotch xD the moment Lee stands up unconscious is so powerful, perfectly done :) this fight was truly epic, it made Lee become many people's favorite character :) I love that they dont just let the good guys or the underdogs win in this show every time, it wouldnt make sense, the likes of Hinata and Lee showed they have more to offer than meets the eye but in the end their opponents are still stronger so they inevitably lose :P you see how filler can truly be beneficial to the narrative, they give the spotlight to many characters not just Naruto or Sasuke, they make you care and give it proper depth, they didnt have to give us all these fights and spend so much time on all this side character stuff but it makes the story better, it definitely helps :) the names of Gaara's siblings are Kankuro and Temari btw :D
1. Brother, I think I've bored you, but rest assured that you haven't even gotten to the point of the story 2. It's good that you noticed that this is not typical "Well, yes, he belongs to the good guys and he will win" of course it's not like that in Naruto, but even the villains have "something of their own" 3. The soundtrack is darker and better in Shippuden, trust me 4. One more thing which many will tell you, when you watch the first 135th episode, the last minutes of the 220th episode are canon so don't skip it and after you watch the 135th episode which are canon and before you start watching the first Naruto Shippuden episode, watch it first Naruto Shippuden episodes 119 and 120 since these two episodes in the manga were placed before the first Shippuden episode!
