Just a point of correction. Apart from the fact that more and more of us are now caring less and less about the amorphous "Balkans", an embodiment of the even more fictitious "Europe", Kruševo isn't quite the highest town in the region stretching between the Dinaric Alps and the Black Sea. That accolade belongs to Žabljak in northern Montenegro (over 1,400 meters). Although correct for Macedonia, there are some villages located on higher altitudes, even ones which look down on Kruševo. That said, the highest village in Macedonia is in its northwest region (Mavrovo and Rostuša municipality) and is called Krakornica (1,530 meters).
