Quite worrying actually that Celtic’s coaches are overseeing defending like that. It looks like they don’t even have a grasp of the basics. Our two big lads at the back need some serious education in the basics of defending.

Number 3 had to commit at the end and take the booking

I go to most of these games. You need to sit for 90 minutes and then judge vata and others. Vata needs an attitude overhaul to start with then his game needs some work. Passing the ball would help the boy and most importantly his team. I never made this game and watched online and haven't changed my thoughts. Kelly and Frame should be in the first team before anyone else. The amount of times vata fails to move the ball in this particular game is appalling. The coaches need to have a good hard look at themselves.

I have to add our defence needs to be coached properly. The lack of game awareness is incredible for boys that are meant to take the next step to the first team.

That performance just shows how far Celtic are behind the English standard of football,The Celtic defence was abysmal.

What absolutely comical defending. What are Odea and McManus doing with these boys? Vata needs first team chances

Going forward the young Celts looked great at times but at other times it looked like men against boys from a physical aspect.

Surely Vata deserves a chance in the first team ahead of MJ & Forrest?

Mikey Johnstone and Vata getting game time makes total sense. Forrest getting more game time than both combined doesn't. It's clearly the old pals act from Rogers given he played under him.
Forrest is so clearly past his best. Been a great servant to the club but giving him game time at the expense of two younger players, one being a teenager with decent potential (in vatas case) makes zero sense. Especially when both players contracts are up in the summer.
Obviously you never know whats going on behind closed doors, maybe theres issues with attitude, commitment and/or work rate. But the whole situation from the outside looking in appears baffling.

Did you manage to watch vata yesterday?. His attitude and the fact he massively let his team mates down again yesterday makes sense that he doesn't get a first team chance. No way he will get a chance under Rodgers.

@@Bhoys1888 You're basing his whole potential on a singular performance at 18 years old? You're gonna get plenty of poor performances from him at first team level if he got a run in the team as well. That's just par for the course. Callum McGregor didn't really come good until he was 25. It takes persistence and actually giving youth team players a chance. Greg Taylor is honestly one of the worst left backs I've ever seen in a Celtic jersey and he's been given nothing but chances and game time he doesn't deserve simply because they were stupid enough to spend a couple of million on him. Also word is Vata is off, not signing a new deal and I don't blame him. Probably why he isn't out killing himself in a youth team that he knows he ultimately won't feature in the senior team for.

@@lancevance585 mate i go to a lot of the B team games and he has been like this for some time. It has got worse since word came out he turned down a new deal. I would have a look at Social Media after the U19s lost to Feyenoord. Plenty of punters now seeing what others have been watching and calling him out for the usual selfish lad that he is. Would be great to keep all the boys with potential etc but I'm sure the new club he goes to will soon see what Brendan Rodgers and his coaching staff would have witnessed with him in training. Especially after watching B team games back.

@@lancevance585 I agree with you mate on giving youth a chance. I've been saying for a while now Frame, Kelly and Anderson should be given an opportunity. McPherson decent but on loan. Him and Kelly went to Japan and done very well. Frame and Kelly stand outs with the B Team.

Vata must be promoted and given new deal.
