Many thanks for these videos, Ed! Great content that assists customers in deciding what's best for them. Keep up the good work! I cut off my relationship with HP a while ago but because of your videos, I considered them again. And my eye is on the new HP 13.5 inch with a 3:2 ratio once it arrives in the UK. Cheers!
HP have done the led indicator for mic & volume muting forever. My old 2007 & 2012 laptops had them. Didn't realise it wasn't normal until I started watching your channel!
Ed I bought an 11th gen spectre x360 13t yesterday from the only place selling them in NZ. There was no pen included, that click thing you experienced on your 1st 10th gen 13t was there, and the speakers are a whopping 35% quieter than my 10th gen 13t. Needless to say, I returned it. Apparently the floor model also had no pen in the box (so the store person said may not come with one in NZ), but since the active pen from my 10th gen doesn't work on the new one, and you cannot seem to buy the new tilt pen that SHOULD be supplied I do not consider this 11th gen fit for purpose, at least not how it's supplied here in NZ if the missing pen isn't a mistake.
This or the 14" 9i...? It's impossible to find the 14" Spectre for a more fair comparison. Mainly using for WFH and potentially travelling once possible. While I appreciate the sturdier build on the 9i, as well as the sound bar, not sure which one to consider. The 1080 screen on the Spectre also seems to have significantly better brightness and contrast (can actually peak at around 450 nits vs the 350ish nits on the 9i). The pen is secondary so I won't be using it much, and I don't think i'd be using it with the keyboard facing down, so the rubber feet don't really matter to me. having the extra 0.7 inches of screen size probably isn't that noticeable?
Have you tried to replace the SSD? I have the 13 inch model and when I tried to replace the SSD the system would not recognize it at all. Not in BIOS and not even in diskpart. I think HP blocks the M.2 port in a way that prevent the end user from replacing the SSD.
30 years with Lenovo, major problems with both Gens of X1 Extreme, looking to move to HP. Question: does the Optane memory make a noticeable difference?

My HP Spectre X360 13-inch (2020) handles any of the machine learning tasks in my data science program at university. If you need massively powerful GPU, you can connect an external GPU unit to this notebook via USB C (Thunderbolt). The 15-inch has a dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650).

@@TheDigitalDigest I returned the last year model because of the poor speaker quality , poor pen experience and temperature issues even in idle and low usage. Have this problems been corrected with the new generation of processor ?
@@riccardo7945 I have not experienced any temperature issues with my HP Spectre X360 (2020) bought in early 2021. I configured the CPU to balance battery drain and performance, by the way.
The price really dropped a lot harder I got mine at $1900s including taxes with the same specs as yours just before Xmas in Canada - where prices are usually higher than the states The pen sticks to the gap between the lid and base when you flip the machine to the other side like a tablet - guess it is trying to say the pen better be used for a tablet most of the time Don’t know what you think of the screen though - did you ever notice slight colour issues when you play a high def video on TH-cam? Love the fact that you've taken the time and effort to make videos on all 3 models, and multiple videos for each model too. Great content. 👍👍✌️

Want to see HP Spectre x360 13t & 14t 11th Gen Laptops review & comparison.
Me too... I have a three years old Spectre model, now I'm interested in buying a new one, better the 13t or 14?

the pen sticks well to the back between the two hinges, don't know if that's the design but it work fine!
What if you forget about it and go into tablet mode and damage the laptop?

I think I'll wait for the new tiger lake H series refresh and also the speakers sound like a let down. Hopefully they will change that next gen also.

Will the core i5 8gb config be enough for just simple student work and web browsing?
Also will I experience any lag with note taking in tablet mode?
you should be fine

Definitely not going to lag. I am using Surface Pro 4 M3 with 4GB
I would like to use this for Iracing? Would I be ok with this?
Does the fan noise affect TEams calls?

Do you recommend me this HP instead of i9.?
