Our Horses Won't Stop Eating!? Let's Feed Some Round Bales!

My name is Joel, I work and manage Sunny Knoll Stables located in North Eastern Pennsylvania. There's always something happening as we do our best to take care of these beautiful animals. Between the weather and everyday shenanigan's, who knows what is going to happen next!
In today's video we have some colder weather moving in. As well as a fresh snowfall that was topped with some rain... The round bale feeders are empty so we need to fill them up! Follow along with me as we go through the day...

Buster is so cute , everytime he see an obstacle he treats it as a big jump. Too cute.
My mom managed a Stable when we were young. We did lots of cleaning stalls, grooming, exercising, and wrangling groups of day renters out on trails that went along side the beaches , The ranch had 80 horses for public rental by the hour. They were carefully managed and rotated so they didn't get over worked.
There were also about 25 Privately owned horses. It was a lot of work but I have never had a better job than that one. Unlike most city jobs I always knew where the s**t was coming from and I knew exactly how to manage it! lol You take excellent care of the horses there , brings back great memories. Thanks!!

I’ve watched every video and I still cannot identify the horses except Casino. I’m pathetic!🤪
I am sure that the horses are really saying Good Morning. Watching their eats is normally a giveaway that they are reacting to you. And they breath, so a slight snort or a little breath holding and maybe a nod of the head. Try nodding your head they might respond in kind.

I’m TERRIBLE with peoples names so I don’t even try to guess the names of the horses. But I do enjoy learning about each one. I had noticed that you had one horse that trots all the time, so now I know it’s Archer! But I’ll have to correlate his name with a gospel singing group I use to listen to from the late 70’s early 80’s, called the Archers!
I’m guessing Archer because I remember him always running when you open the door. Not sure though. Brown horses are hard to memorize.

I just saw recently where horses got botulism from a round bale that was spoiled. Definitely gotta be careful!

Wow you still have snow and ice . Central Indiana have no snow or ice unless it’s piled up in places to get it off the roads . Mystery horse is Archer. What determines which pasture you put them in? Size, age, temperament?
How much do the round and square bales weigh? Do these horses communicate with you all via their ears? Have you noticed if they use the same or different body language with you all vs the owners?

…just a thought, but can the miniature donkeys get a little love with a lower wall so the can see out. Other horses are able to peek out into the corridor, why can’t the donkeys see out as well. Why ya hiding them?
