Personally I think a person’s patriotism is proven more by their actions toward other Americans than their obsession over a flag. Veterans, poor people, mentally ill people, people that couldn’t make the system work for them for whatever reason, matter more than a flag.
Agreed, there is of course honoring the flag of our nation, but then there is also the The craziness of plastered red white blue all over ones self or our flag covered over by the name of some person or their image.
Even politicians wear it as clothing now...we've become quite lackadaisical about it, over the years, plus, a lot of people just don't know, we're never taught. Even one of my neighbors insists on hanging it lengthwise, with union on wrong side, even though I told them about it, graciously. Oh well, that should be our most pressing issue. I see four flags flying in front of the warehouse near my apartment. I see the warehouse's flag, the Donnebrog (flag of Denmark), Kansas's flag, and the Stars and Stripes (in that order). Is Kansas and a corporate flag supposed to flying at the same height as Denmark's and US's flags? I see a mix bag when it comes to state and corporate flags flying with national flags throughout the area.

I notice, in neighborhoods which fly the flag much of the year, they've SAFER🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
There is one thing that is flown above the Flag. On Naval vessels, the church pennant is flown above the U.S. flag during services.
