  • At the trail head is parking, interpreted signage, and the historic remains of an old mill. Open from dawn to dusk, the trail head is locate at 56 Cedar Mills Road in Blue Creek. Hikers are reminded to stay on the trail as to not disturb the unique flora and fauna found in the preserve.
Cedar Falls is a local and historic landmark. Once a thriving village where several grist, iron, and saw mills operated during the early 1800’s, most of which were powered by the small stream aptly named Cedar Run, a tributary of Ohio Brush Creek. The remains of the grist mill at the new trailhead to Cedar Falls were built in 1842. The tall brick smokestack still standing was constructed in 1866 when the mill was converted to steam power. Upstream from this location approximately 1.5 miles was Cedar Falls. #Scenic Hiking #Edge of Appalachia #nature #the nature conservancy #solo hiking #Outdoors #nature sanctuary #edge of appalachia preserve #virtual hike #adams county nature documentaryhiking documentaryvirtual walkbeautiful nature

Hey you I think you should know I’m feeling it so. Hey you I’m with you I see you. We’ve come along way and we have grown so much. That’s every journey in life and is so symbolic of a long hike reconnecting with nature and soul.
