Congrats, Nice win and well played!! You kept it interesting from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this one!!
A tough but very entertaining game Henrik! Great stuff as usual 🎉
One of best games, very interesting and different. Cheer's Henrik 😎
No need to replicate whatever they're saying: I hear there are real words there, but the pronounciation is deep into uncanny valley for my Norwegian ears. Part of the reason I never managed to enjoy playing Vikings with sound on. Maybe it's an attempt at sounding like Old Norse with modern words?
Either way, 'twas a fun ride, and apparently I've gotten better at ignoring those sounds with age :p
Have you ever considered doing a saving a disaster CIV 4 campaign video or series? See if you can save or win a game that a subscriber submits? I have definitely learned a lot from your videos but would love a CIV 4 series that revolves around saving campaign games from Monarch difficulty and up. Could ask the submitter to give a back story of how they got to where they are in the save and you would be able to dissect if the game is winnable and what the submitter did wrong to get to where they are. None-the-less keep up the good work! :)
I honestly prefer to play the saves from turn 1 the beginning because most of the mistakes I see are terrible city placement, worker management, attack choices and wonder builds. Very hard to reverse a butchered game especially if it's at 1500ad and they don't have education yet. Even on emperor it could be tough and exhausting to pull it back from there. Just recently I saved someone's game which I helped play the first hour of and there were several mistakes on the second hour that almost threw the game away and I had to slowly reverse everything, like dealing with no roads built in the empire when they got 2v1 attacked and units all over the place and no forges built in the cities. Some of these mistakes are really hard and tedious to undo so id much rather play a map from the beginning and get the opening right which should still be educational.
@@henrik9658 that makes sense. I do feel like Civilization vs a lot of other strategy games like Total War are harder to come back from if you make a mistake in the early game. Would still be interested in videos that dissect what people did wrong even if you didn't play them out so viewers can avoid the same pitfalls. My understanding of CIV 4 has definitely increased a ton since watching your videos, albeit I am sure I am making mistakes similar to a lot other viewers that I am not even aware of.
Yea I have played a couple maps from turn 0 that people have struggled with and I pointed out what they did wrong, like the fairly recent sitting bull game.
How about a worker steal and cripple with 4-5 warriors? With CHA you can get to woodsman 2 quick as well… anyways great game!

I would love to learn how to win a deity game by cultural or diplomacy rather than domination which seems you always do and done it so great. But can you accept this new challenge? To make it even harder, play it on Lakes map or similar ones, not on isolate island. And if you can choose to play with some aggressive leaders AI that would be hardest level :). I love your games btw. Will keep watching it. Thanks!
its extremely hard to win deity peacefully without warfare and getting a territorial advantage. they first of all grab land much faster, pay 30% less for techs, pay 2/3 less for maintenance and unit costs, start with 2 settlers and a worker and get 5 cities before you get 2. You can outbuild the immortal AI which i've done plenty of times, but doing it on deity is almost impossible without taking someone out.
I did it ONCE on deity with Hatshepsut by handpicking leaders and not getting attacked

@@henrik9658 watching them now. Btw, it will be easier if choosing map larger with less AI?
Larger Less AI is harder, they get more room and can become big monsters. Smaller more ai is definitely easier
