Definitely get to have choices :) ..and you're right. If i had a big screen or even a projector i would be alittle interested in purchasing. Either way its two great products from some great people. NWT and Glen have a passion for the hobby so you know they are going to deliver only the best for the community
Steve, Yeah, I think if you had a big screen TV setup in the Mancave the New Wave Toys option may make more sense. Plug the 1/6 scale machine into the TV and use Glen's wireless controller to pass between people. I like that it can sit on your lap, so I can see it being a great pass and play couch game. It's also $100 cheaper for me than getting an Arcade1Up Deluxe... Wait, hold that thought. With the preorder discount it's actually $180 cheaper than a Deluxe. So what are the other trade offs? Form factor play, yes. Don't get the bowling or shuffleshot games on New Wave Toys machine, maybe those games alone are worth the extra $180. But that trackball on Glen's deck is the real deal, and with all the random trackball issues I've heard on the Deluxe and XL models of Golden Tee, I'm not willing to roll the dice again on an Arcade1Up trackball machine. Whereas my trackball was fine on my Atari Deluxe 12 in 1, I got a bad one on their Tempest Legacy, so Arcade1Up is proven a gamble whether you'll get a good one or not. Not worth the risk for me. I have ordered the combo pack. I regret selling my A1UP 3/4 Golden Tee and don’t have room for 3/4 cab so this fits my need. I was shocked by the shipping fee of 78 bucks for me but I will live with it. I would love shuffleboard and bowling but maybe I will find another way. I also have a projector cade so I am hoping it will fit on the stand like the current Pac Man deck. I like your idea of releasing decks for all of the NWT releases.
Congratulations on your purchase :) Hopefully, Glens control deck will fit on the Projector Cade. That would be a pretty neat way to play those games. I know A1Up had it advertised they were going to do a GT deck but it never happened. I hope Glen and NWT continue with the Deck/cab combo or just the deck separately
The control deck wouldn’t work standalone. It’s just a controller. You need the Replicade with HDMI out or a GRS Build A Cade with USB in to use the controllerZ

The timing is because it’s the 35th anniversary, and the NWT/GRS combo is cheaper than A1U for better quality and easier to find room.
