Thanks for the info, especially rhe foxhole bit!! Love that! These 1/4 tanks do perform very similar to the real tanks and I do try to avoid neutral turns if possible.
It runs on two 12V car batteries with a separated sound card and speakers for the sound effect. These come in either kits or ready-to-tun models, check out Mark-1 Tank in England!
Who makes these things? I have been looking at a few of your 1/4 scale King Tiger videos, and I have to say its a really well made beasty. I guess its steel construction.
Its a benedini sound card. not to sure on the speeling there, but he makes great sounds cards. planes, tanks, cars ETC. This is a real sound from a tiger, and if you check my panther, you will hear the real sounds of that. Most use car speakers, thats what mine has. it all depends on how much you want to spend really.
The one shown in the video isn't mine, I have another 1/4 KT. But these things cost around US$10,000 - US$12,000 depending on ur budget and level of detailing. And no these things can come as kit or RTR
It fires pyrotechnics, but u can fit a real gun or LPG gun, depends on ur taste. it's mainly made of thick GRP (Fibre glass), it's electric, powered by two 500w 24V motors.
Wow! Excellent tank, very impressive, I see you mentioned they are powered by electric motors, is the diesel sound and audio clip thats looped? It sounds fantastic.
the older versions, like my panther ran on as many 12 v batterys you could fit inside. running time can depend on conditions, but they used a 1/6th scale tamiya gearbox. bigger and stronger. but the newer models, like this 1/4th scale run on 24v chain drive. they are strong enough to tow a car. have a look at my panther
@castingsinkers the Tiger 1 is 8,24 meters in TOTAL!. 8.24 / 4 = 2.06. that means that this tank should be 2.04 meters. (around 6.7 foot) look at 0:35 and watch 1 foot, and that fits almost 7 times :) i know, very hard to believe that is an 1:4 scale
@hatakashi Dude, what's maintenence like in these hogs? I see all these sick vids of your (enthusiasts) tanks taking on the elements in water, snow, dirt, mud, etc... Do you have to remove the road wheels and lube the tracks and stuff?
That is just so far beyond awesome my mind has been blown. Where can i get this tank? Also the wear & tear on the tank did it come like that or did he/she just make it look like that?
@cxiong116 You'd probably want to keep the main gun to a 30.06, I don't know how the tank is constructed but not many things can survive the blast of a 50 BMG for too long. That would be pretty cool though, and you could buy surplus API and shoot that through it.
AWESOME!!! Where do you get parts to build these things??? Just awesome!!! Does the gun shoot? Not projectiles, mind you, but just for sound and visual effect....
It is called a "neutral steer" any tank can do it. But I rarely let my driver do one as you can easily throw track. This manuever can be done over a "foxhole" and I can assure you it kills whoever built it (was in first desert storm) Semper Fi
They are not wireless themselves but can be connected to a transmitter. You are able to chose one that suits your needs (power, range, band, voltage). As you stay close to the ground probably a 900Mhz tx with receiving antenna on a pole would be best. Check rangevideo or futurehobbies or blackwidowav for more details. Congratulations on your great work again! ^_^
@normgood11 Yes but it was like a gathering and public open day so better ground surface is preferred by the visiting public. If you view my other videos you'll see the 1/4 KT tackling various terrains.
1:08 For a moment I thought that was a real Tiger XD You guys did an awesome job with this RC! Keep it up
1:08 is awesome.
hahaha, you really are fond of those tanks. I must agree: I admire people who have the skills and determination to build such nice vehicles.
Awesome tank! But looks more like 1/6 scale to me? 1/4 would be much bigger.
Nope, you realise that at quarter scale, the volume is 64 times smaller?
@@loypopop7680 1/6 = 55.4462 in long 1/4 = 83.1693 in. Big difference. I scratched build one and I can tell that 30 inches is much bigger.
The pyro is just like a big firework, when it fires, flash, lots of smoke and a big bang!
What? No flaming Shermans around? Fail.
xD
xDF
The tiger is still a beast, it's a live like model, beautiful machine
I want one
Excellent work! Authentically. A lot of work it is spent.
make it with asoline evgine and real gun
some grown ups will never get sick of toys
1:08 it looks so real....great job man!!!
Glad you like it mate! 1/4 is the way to go!
I just got into 1/16 now i want a 1/6,....looks ace with that heavy feel to it.
These tanks are quite expensive but I can tell you they are worth every penny of it. I run my tanks very often and it's brilliant!
absolutely amazing!! great workmanship and detail! congrats!
Well said Oli, yes these 1/4 tanks run on two 500W 24V chain drive motors.
That thing makes a great sound. All that's missing is an Action Man peaking out of the turret.
lutienant: um sir?
general: yes, lutienant?
lutienant: TIGER INCOMING!
general: HOLY SH-
whats neat about these tanks is how the whole tank can traverse without moving forward or backward, while standing still it can traverse.
This one? from £8000 ready-to-play. Once again ... not cheap, but the fun u get from it, priceless!
Awesome. All it is lacking is the characteristic clanking of the tracks. Other than that, top notch!
Tak to je je skvělé!! Sometimes it look like real.
Thanks for the info, especially rhe foxhole bit!! Love that! These 1/4 tanks do perform very similar to the real tanks and I do try to avoid neutral turns if possible.
This looks better than what Hollywood uses in the movies.
It runs on two 12V car batteries with a separated sound card and speakers for the sound effect. These come in either kits or ready-to-tun models, check out Mark-1 Tank in England!
OH nice!! Giving a tank to ur tank is the first step! Well done!
what a superb model of a tiger tank, wish i was the owner i'm so jealous.if i could afford one i would have one definately.
Love it . Marks work is awesome
That's very true! With the clever use of the camera angles it can look as real as the REAL thing!! =D
I quite like ur idea, but then that would be an one-off excitment. With tanks like these, I can have years of endless fun and continuous upgrade =)
it can be done but takes a lot of time and effort, that's why most large scaled RC tanks are electric powered with sound modules.
Who makes these things? I have been looking at a few of your 1/4 scale King Tiger videos, and I have to say its a really well made beasty. I guess its steel construction.
Thanks for your compliment, glad u like it !
I have a 1/16 scale but that is just unbelievably cool
Its a benedini sound card. not to sure on the speeling there, but he makes great sounds cards. planes, tanks, cars ETC. This is a real sound from a tiger, and if you check my panther, you will hear the real sounds of that. Most use car speakers, thats what mine has. it all depends on how much you want to spend really.
The fact that there are no videos of people surfing on these hurts my soul.
You can buy it from Mark-1 Tank from England, costs around 8000 GBP. It's mainly made of GRP and it runs on batteries. I transport it in a van.
The one shown in the video isn't mine, I have another 1/4 KT. But these things cost around US$10,000 - US$12,000 depending on ur budget and level of detailing. And no these things can come as kit or RTR
@iggy151 It runs on two 24V batteries and the chassis/superstructure are made of fibre glass, running gears are metal.
No worries mate it's a very pleasant tiger, it won't hurt anything
It fires pyrotechnics, but u can fit a real gun or LPG gun, depends on ur taste. it's mainly made of thick GRP (Fibre glass), it's electric, powered by two 500w 24V motors.
Thanks very much, glad you like it!
Turret does move and it can rotate a full 360 in 30 sec, way faster than the real tank but the speed is fully adjustable
What an amazing tank!
@TheEffectPerson It costs around 8500GBP and it can be purchased from a company in England called "Mark-1 Tank"
That is one sexy beast. I figured it would be bigger though at 1/4 scale.
Wow! Excellent tank, very impressive, I see you mentioned they are powered by electric motors, is the diesel sound and audio clip thats looped? It sounds fantastic.
I must say I do love running over things with the tank =D
@Landotter1 It does fire, it has a pyrotechnics firing system
When the camera got down to ground level it looked completely real!
Amazing. No kurcze mistrzostwo świata europy. Takiego mieć. Mmmmrrr.
You're right, some aren't too impressed but most welcome it.
There are loads of videos of restored Tigers or Panthers on youtube, or you can use the Tamiya 1/16 rc tank sound modules
woooo good luck to you mate, have fun with an Armortek Panther, I'm still waiting for the 1/4 Panther to come out.
the older versions, like my panther ran on as many 12 v batterys you could fit inside. running time can depend on conditions, but they used a 1/6th scale tamiya gearbox. bigger and stronger. but the newer models, like this 1/4th scale run on 24v chain drive. they are strong enough to tow a car. have a look at my panther
I bought it from an UK-based company called Mark-1 Tank, and it's running on 500W 24V powered electric motors.
@MusTanGPrOx Thanks very much for your support man!
@castingsinkers the Tiger 1 is 8,24 meters in TOTAL!. 8.24 / 4 = 2.06. that means that this tank should be 2.04 meters. (around 6.7 foot) look at 0:35 and watch 1 foot, and that fits almost 7 times :)

It can come unassembled or as a ready-to-run model. Check out Mark-1 Tank from UK.
That is just so far beyond awesome my mind has been blown. Where can i get this tank? Also the wear & tear on the tank did it come like that or did he/she just make it look like that?
i liked the part with the tank
Wow what a flattering comment!! Thanks very much!
Because it's a WWII tank, a real tiger only moves slower than 20kmph while at cross country, so a 1/4 scale model should move around at around 5.
@Iosis6 No that is 1/4 scale, it looks smaller due to the filming angle, and mind you, the Real Tiger isn't that big when compared to moden tanks.
WOW Great Tank! Looks like from the scale like a 1:1 Goliath with Turret! :o)
@cxiong116
You'd probably want to keep the main gun to a 30.06, I don't know how the tank is constructed but not many things can survive the blast of a 50 BMG for too long. That would be pretty cool though, and you could buy surplus API and shoot that through it.
Hi speed camera, elaborate miniature sets and explosives would make a great combination
good god man, thats friggin huge.very nice
It's the sound of the real tiger, a Maybach petrol engine, and of course it's all simulated =D
Don't mind the cost, what matters is the fun u get from all ur toys =D
Don't think a brushless can move this beast!
AWESOME!!! Where do you get parts to build these things??? Just awesome!!! Does the gun shoot? Not projectiles, mind you, but just for sound and visual effect....
Must be The Land Of The Giants!!! The men are 10 meters tall.
Awesome realistic! They can use this models for WWII films instead of clearly fake Tigers like in "Saving Private Ryan" :D
@EvilFingers If you want you can upgrade your sound module using SFX 6, a very versatile unit and can be fitted inside a 1/16 tank!
It is called a "neutral steer" any tank can do it. But I rarely let my driver do one as you can easily throw track. This manuever can be done over a "foxhole" and I can assure you it kills whoever built it (was in first desert storm) Semper Fi

Congratulations on your great work again! ^_^
Totally awesome! Awaiting 1/2 scale version! xD
A turret mounted camera is THE option to have!! I've been looking for a camera small enough to mount!!
@normgood11 Yes but it was like a gathering and public open day so better ground surface is preferred by the visiting public. If you view my other videos you'll see the 1/4 KT tackling various terrains.
Sound is perfect!!!
Is that an Benedini soundmodul??
No it's made of GRP (Fibre Glass), full metal would be a bit toooooo heavy. Although this GRP tank already weighs around 200kg!
@MrBuzzlightyear114 yes most of the these large scale tanks fire pyrotechnics or blank guns.
Someone needs to start producing 1:1 scale tank models! :)
Awesome, love the sound. that would give a WWII vet the shakes!
dam i want 1 of thoes. i could terrorize my GI Joes with that thing and make 10 scenes from saving private ryan too. lol
is that the real sound of motor? or is it digital recording?
Rich.
I never remove muds or clean the tank, all I do is, lubricate the suspension arms every 3 months, that's the only maintenance I do to it.
@joeblood111 Yes it does, this one fires pyrotechnics, some have blank guns and some have LPG gun
It's powered by two 500w motors running on 24V batteries.
It runs on 2x chain driven electric drives and weights around 200kg. ANd yes it is 1/4 scale.
@screwstoneboy93 it shoots pyrotechnics but of course a blank/real gun can be fitted with ease.
@MSR8MASR It is a 1/4, there are videos shwoing this 1/4 next to 1/6, then u'll see the size difference.
Haha. "now that we saw that go in a few circles what else should we do guys?". "do it again and again! Yea!!". Haha
Only the simple things tough, not like a armotek panther where you have to screw in 1300 nuts/bolts on one side of wheels. now that sounds like fun.
:03 the hubble? and thanks for the response. must be an awsome machine, is it diesel?
It just didn't fire on this occasion, check out my other videos and firing.
It's powered by two 500w 24V chain-drive motors.
There are tons of reference books out there, I recommend...Achtung Panzer published in Japan
