      No, not at all. That’s the point, cause if these awesome kinds of playgrounds are making 20yo adults want to play in them that goes to show that kids will want to play in them wayyy more than a regular playground.

    Is there an age limit to this, like I am really interested in this and it sounds great, but what if there's a four year old kid who got hold of a saw and then he starts swinging it around the other children like a sword, pretending he's a pirate or a knight?

    • @HazzyHazeI
      @HazzyHazeI 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      nah its more of an anarchy thing also other kids would probably run and I doubt the kids would be able to swing it enough to do any damage

    • @ruthdepew7212

      Absolutely. If a child shows violent intent, then there should be an exclusion policy. Otherwise, children cannot learn to function as independent and responsible adults without some childhood independence. If you disagree, don't take you kids here.

      It is not made super clear in this video, probably for shock value: Parents aren't allowed, because they would interfere too much. However, these adventure playgrounds (this is not a new thing BTW, started in Britain during the war) are staffed by trained play workers. They are trained to let the children explore and learn experientially, while helping them when they need it. There is a lot of research regarding "risky play" and these playgrounds meet children's needs for that - Risky play is a normal and essential part of child development, and if they don't do it when they are young, they will do it eventually - when the risks are greater. Injuries in these playgrounds tend to be less frequent and less serious than in traditional playgrounds (which are also infrequent and generally minor).
