I totally agree with your thoughts on the randomization of commons and uncommons in the packs and it’s a huge focus for our next print run. Unfortunately I did bring up this concern to the factory and they didn’t follow my instructions. We are changing factories for our next prints!

Super disappointing to see how repetitive the packs can be. I haven’t payed much attention to what the “staple” cards will be (you mentioned the nectar and Pandora’s box) but it’s too bad they are holo rares, it seems you were lucky to get even just one of each. I’d hope those would be more available in packs

Yep. Nectar is included in each of the starter decks at 2 as non holos, so that’s good at least. I guess the assumption is that you would get the decks and a booster box. Though, the rest of the staples are split across them (One deck has Pandora’s Box, one has Gorgon’s Gaze, etc). But yeah, I don’t like how it keeps to the Yugioh philosophy of making staples Holos rather than how Pokémon prints them as Uncommons.
Also, crazy I got 4 Krakking, like why couldn’t that be 4 of literally any Rune, lmao. So, I guess my rating is that if you get the starter decks to play with friends, that works great, but the box opening experience got tired really fast. With how each card can be played at a max of 3 copies each, it really should’ve been 24 packs instead of 36.

@@GatorEXPlays yeah, I had a lot of beef with YGO early on making staple cards rare or higher. Still blows my mind that polymerization, a card that’s necessary for an entire type of card, was super rare in its first printing and wasn’t more available for YEARS. Glad the starter decks here have some of the staples but for some it’s a tough pill to swallow to buy an entire starter deck when all you want is two copies of one card in it
