- The prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka also called UNIZIK or NAU in short is a Federal university in Nigeria which located at Anambra state. It consists of two campuses, Its main campus is located in Awka (the capital of Anambra State) while the other campus is located at Nnewi. There are also other campuses of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. These include Agulu in Aniocha local government area and Ifite-Ogwuari in Ayamelum local government area in Anambra State. It is one of the federal universities which is overseen and accredited by the National Universities Commission. The university is named after the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and is founded upon the three major principles of Discipline, Self reliance and Excellence.

The authoritarian theory is the oldest of the classical political theories of the press . It was articulated to define the relationship between the press and the authoritarian environment in Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The authoritarian philosophy views the press as the mouth piece of the government to be used by it to tell the people what the Government’s stand is on any issues and to achieve government’s objectives. The government’s authoritarian control over the people was extended to the press therefore the press is not expected to criticize the government in an authoritarian system .
Some methods of control was used as a check on the press which includes
1. The patent system
2. The journeyman system
3. Censorship
4. Treason /Sedition trials .

I am proud of this school.
The school has made a lot of progress since I left in 2015. I am happy to see they have completed the medical centre, the Anglican church, Faculty of Arts, the new buildings at the science village.
The school even have a new School of Business building. It used to be at the Faculty of Management building.
I am not happy not seeing my department, Department of Economics. Justice for us.

There's faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences with only one department (Pharmacy) and Faculty/college of medicine with only medicine and surgery
Just pharmacy, the other medical faculty houses departments like physiotherapy and anatomy and other medical courses.

The departments of physiotherapy, medical laboratory science etc are in the faculty/college of Health Sciences.
Anatomy and Physiology are in the faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
Medicine is a faculty of its own.
