small cars are for people that like to drive efficient cars. Sure when we need to haul something we borrow a friend's pickup or rent a u-haul but that's rare for most.

You can buy a Hybrid that has "power". Nissan Optima Hybrid. Porsche and BMW are making hybrids too now. Toyota and Ford make hybrid sedans
