I still have the original hand drawn map when we opened up the concession. There was more roads then than now. Sarah is a bit young and too good a looker to have been there at the beginning, which was many years back. Matetsi was started by And Beyond (CCA) which was a South African company and we had two lodges there. It was a partnership with a local company. It has been redone a bit - and credit to the new owners as better than the original. I hope they also reopen a new camp where the other one was. This was across the main road by a pan in the Westwood vlei and sadly burnt down after I had left. It had a different theme and some quality decking, and tents, and more like a Hwange camp
