其实新加坡人根本不懂汉服。上次我给闺女买了一套改良版的穿去学校。居然被说成韩服。汉服，明朝时代的衣服会比较热。唐装比较适合新加坡。比较凉快。

我挺喜欢汉服，期待未来汉服会是人们日常服饰，而不是特别日子或活动才穿的服装。日本人也许是把传统服装当日常使用，所以类似的服装也让人第一眼觉得是日式

In old pictures, women in hanfu were smaller with small feet and common faces. There is quite a big difference today. Many chinese women nowadays are taller, their feet have normal sizes and their faces are more pretty with modern make up. They wear hanfu beautifully.

The Indonesian woman probably notice your hairdo looks similar to Bai Suzhen in 1990s White Snake Legend (It was big hit in Indonesia) just don't know the name of Hanfu since overseas Chinese in Indonesia just wear Cheongsam as their traditional clothing. We need hanfu revival in SEA Chinese communities imo.
cheongsam is republic of china era (1911-1949) modernised Qipao (Manchu robe). Hanfu is pre 1644 before Qing Dynasty.
I wear my hanfu out too in SG, and yes most people think I'm wearing either kimono or hanbok.
Comparing kimono and hankok, hanfu got so many various of dresses from different dynasty era... Sooner people will know the beauty of hanfu...
Chinese people need to wear more Hanfu to promote Chinese traditional dresses and make people from other countries more aware of it. It's sad that people think Chinese traditional dresses are from Japan. It's because Japan promotes it way before China and because many Chinese people still don't even care to promote it and don't wear it in special occasions, especially in China 🇨🇳
I only occasionally wear the plain style samue out (originally from the chinese monks).

長衫的話還是建議妳後面頭髮束起來，會比較好活動。一看就知道是池夏家2019夏季那套“楚楚”，因為兒也有同款同色長衫❤️它的版型還不錯，頸圍尺寸是目前成衣裡，跟兒訂製的尺寸很接近。鞋子可以選擇類似芭蕾舞鞋或瑪莉珍鞋的款做替代，因為這套的織金馬面裙看起來還是會讓人有種正式感，芭蕾舞鞋款的鞋型類似一雙北宋出土男鞋的款式。鞋子還是推薦手工製作的弓鞋，沒分左右邊可以隨套隨走。

From Singapore, Chinese people here are too banana. I wore Hanfu and people thought it's Kimono or Hanbok. Sigh.
People here are taught Singapore's history. It's a multicultural country afterall. There's no teaching of Chinese classics here, maybe except at some elite Chinese school (SAP). I don't even know most of Chinese classics and literature, but I'm learning it from the internet.

It's a shame that even the Chinese guy doesn't even know the dress from Ming dynasty. That is why kimono is so well known and recognized by people from all over the world. It's because Chinese people don't wear it in any special ocasion. They don't even care to promote Chinese culture and soft power. Japan is so smart in utilizing its culture to promote its soft power. Chinese people need to learn a lot from Japan.

要在新加坡馬來西亞这样的熱帶地方穿漢服,应該多採用紗/麻/棉这种比较疏織比较透气的布料, 像明制漢服很多都是立領,布料也是较密较厚的織錦緞, 穿著在外面走动应该挺难受的, 在有冷仃的室內就OK. 希望能更常看到各地的華人穿上美麗又丰富多样的漢服.

As a Singaporean it makes want to see a Batik styled version of a Hanfu clothing, but Singapore is so Freaking hot though like I wish I can wear my Batik Shirt everyday, cause Peranakan Chinese go brrrrr but it's do hot.

Fantastic, only those with long civilization can match Chinese refinement. After the make up, she look like ancient beauty, even with simple Hanfu.
Persian, Indians, Egyptian...are few that also have refine costumes & culture, but most tradition is waning due to last 200yrs of West colonial culture invasion.
Singapore been controlled by US(and its sheriff India), will not allow such beautiful Chinese culture to flourish. Its a national threat to US fast food & Hollywood culture.
no one disallows Chinese culture to flourish in Singapore. Singapore Chinese are pragmatic people, like China Chinese. as they see investment in tradition is a waste of money and time, they embrace much of the West. that is a tribute to Chinese pragmatism.
在热带国家穿宋制的汉服比较好，素雅清凉，明制的太厚重，会较为难受。
明制也可以很清涼，關鍵是面料，現在很多商家的明制布料都太過厚重了，其實羅一類的布料非常適合製作。
明朝正好经历中国小冰期，当时的穿着大多数都要防寒，厚衣服的款式要多一些
汉服在东南亚汉人社会还是不普及啊
在中国也很少人穿, 偶尔才看到一两个
