As a Swansea fan, your defence will be awful. Our defence was absolutely torrid at times.

saw a lot of positives today despite it being a weak reading side. hopefully we can try to stop the counter attacks as i feel we’ll concede quite a few during the season. bazunu making great saves then ends it with a howler… we need to get rid of macca and bring a more experienced keeper who is good with his feet to challenge bazunu.
Saints looked confident going forward and some excellent finishing. Defence and goalkeeper all at sea, as usual.
Edit has done Bazunu dirty here on the second goal - terrible defending from DCC to present the chance. He's been poor but is a big talent and isn't being helped out by a porous defence
I thought he did well to get a hand on it considering how close range the shot was, got done by how scuffed the shot was though and the fact he got a hand to it makes it look worse.
Also he is by far the best keeper we have on the ball at the club as Macca looks so so uncomfortable all the time but Gavin was so calm today and deffo got done dirty with the 2nd goal as DCC made a huge error and so did Bednarek for the 1st so I don't think we can put much blame on Bazunu for the goals but that's just my opinion

@@abhinavvadlamani7300definitely wasn't, I mean he didn't help but the lack of goals is why we went down, we didn't keep Foster because he and Mccarthy are both as prone to howlers and are awful with the ball at their feet.

Gavin Bazunu is a very good goalkeeper, young and promising. But he deserves better defenders ahead of him.
Bazunu is awful, I can’t stand him.

Certainly a perfectly decent performance although definitely not perfect. Think Russell Martin will take saints into playoffs eventually after team gels and maybe he can get a promotion from there. On the other hand, I think Ruben selles’ Reading will win League one

1st goal Bazunu should have done better to cover the angle. 2nd goal was comical. Soton seriously need better keepers. No faith in Bazunu and McCarthy.

Some people are never happy. Some people are also deluded. Couple of points:
A) it was a pre season friendly
B) some of those players won’t even be playing for saints in 4 weeks time
smh, we shouldn’t have let in those two goals. We are prem side. Anyone can see that. We scored 4 against reading and it’s pre season. We will beat most teams in the championship if we perform like that in an attackive manner

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a keeper like Bazunu, whenever he concedes he’s genuinely nowhere near even getting a touch on it. And that first reading goal wasn’t even a good finish. And then the final goal….
Occasionally makes some top class saves, but you can see why he was statistically the worst goalkeeper in the prem last year.
He's a young talent just a bit raw

With useless at reading this game was almost nailed on but in both goals the keeper should have done better. Was there even an out stretched arm for the first. Looked like he just went straight down instead of diving.
First was not his fault its poor defending if you think he should be saving that you're delusional, second is awful though

Behave! Look again. That shot wasn't hit with anything special and il say again. He collapsed to the floor without even an outstretched arm! It was as if he had told himself he couldn't or just couldn't be bothered. I think both you and the previous poster need to go to specsavers

@@kenc4104Bazunu ain't great but on absolutely no planet is McCarthy better than him. Keeps getting beaten at his near post and his distribution is worse.
At least Gavin can pull off the odd save like he did against Benfica and today in the second half. But he makes sloppy mistakes like this that he needs to iron out
