I will say this. You are my actual discrete professor now! I’m nearly at the midterm and only your videos actually teach me the material. Great work your a life savor teach!
Can you tell me how much practice you've really done? I always feel like solving 30 exercises per section is wasting my time, I'm not sure if I should just keep moving with the material? Brehm says practice practice practice but I don't know how many exercises per section is enough.
As someone too poor to afford a university education, thank-you for these videos. They are an immense help to someone trying to go through the textbook alone.
Professor Brehm, I wanted you to know that I got a 99 on my Discrete Math exam!!! I was able to bring my overall to an A, and it's mostly because of your help. Thank you so so much! Your videos are absolutely priceless.
Thank you *so* much for uploading this videos. I'm taking a Computer Science course that is a Discrete Maths course in disguise. They make it a block period, so the professor lectures for 2 hours. I do not have this attention span no matter how much I want it, and it was really stressing me out. These videos are infinitely helpful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDS😭!! My girlfriend and I used your lin alg playlist to cram our first midterm and it was the only reason we did any good. And now I found out you're using the same textbook as my class for discrete math too! Love your work, you are a lifesaver for students with bad professors, thank you.
Great series of videos! Just for the sake of completeness: Real Numbers (~3:30 in this video) should also include Irrational Numbers. What is the common notation used for Irrational Numbers? I (bold uppercase i)?
A better definition of "set" is probably : collection of unordered, unique AND well defined objects. Any collection with repeated elements can be reduced to a set without any repeat (unique elements only).
Maybe I missed something, but aren't the Real numbers the set of all rational and irrational numbers? Irrationals are not mentioned here, but are an uncountable subset of the Reals.

I wish I had known about these videos in the beginning of the semester. Thank you so much!
commenting this on every video so u get more reach because these are really helpful and it means way too much to me.
@@techjesus99 Thank you so much!!
This channel is a gold mine and the youtube algorithm is not doing a very good job.
Thank you for these videos!! Gonna get me through discrete math.
Thank you very much for how well you explain things! You explain it better than my prof!
Thank you so much for making me feel more confident in discrete math!!! You’re the best.
The best Discrete Mathematics Lectures ...Wowww Thank you so much.

Im going to get this book. Im taking linear algebra right now and this will help me
You might be able to find the pdf online :)
a note for 5:25 - that is true if x is Real number. if x was integer then it would be set of 2 values ( 0 and 1)
This is awesome. Reviewing for my FE. Thank you!!

In positive and negative integers. Do we also consider 0 as part of it?
Kimberly you are a GENIUS 👍👍👍👍
Best video lectures. Excellent clarity.
Is zero considered in the range of Z^+(positive integers) and the range of Z^-(negative integers)?

real numbers is the combination of rational numbers and irrational numbers. irrational numbers is missing in this video
Amazing content, thank you!!!
I wish you could come to UT San Antonio. You are such a good teacher.
I've never been to San Antonio, but I bet the weather there is great!
Thank you Kimberly!
god bless you for these videos
In our discrete math class, natural numbers actually include 0. I have no idea why!
what type of tool you use for writing ? can you tell us please
idk if u still care but in an earlier video she responded to someone saying she was just using powerpoint and drawing
"real numbers contains all numbers above" but contains irrational too, right?
Yes, real includes both rational and irrational numbers.
@@SawFinMath Thank you so much
The real numbers are more than just "everything above" in the list.
🙏🤗thankss
You are welcome!
I love you. :)
vou ter prova dessa porra amanhã e não sei nada vou ver essa playlist ver se me ajuda valeu pelo video
Haha well I hope it helps, then! Good luck on your test

I'm going to attempt to learn everything from here to chapter 11 in 3 days for my final. I'll come back to this comment if I somehow succeed.
Sooo did you succeed mon ami?
did you succeed
nah bro failed then got grounded for life
