Was really happy when they did a reunion tour, but a bit disappointed that Bill didn't do most of his original vocal work (except on Ruptured in Purulence).
Wow, the audience is lackadaisical to some bad ass mastery of music. This was my go-to tape after work. What a great album. When you need a mosh pit this will get you there.
the new drummers (daniel erlandsson and daniel wilding) never play the old material right. ken owens playing had a lot more swing and they pretty much ignore that
True. It makes for an interesting mix though. Jeff's playing is solid throughout rather than many bassist's lacklustre performances. Just to hear the track performed with a different instrument focus makes this a must-hear version.
Interesting, because to me the increased speed adds this level of intensity and velocity to the song that is unmatched by many bands; it makes me want to wreck shit and I love the sound. Just goes to show you even among people who like the same music how different some musical sensibilities can be :)
Yeah, Jeff Walker had to Cut a lot of syllables out. It kind of ruined the entire song. I loved this song when I was a kid. I saw them play it live a few times. I knew every word. This version sounds clunky and rushed. I wonder if the drummer started too fast by accident.
I really don`t know if I`m asking too much but a video of the complete thing would be superb!!! Thank you for uploading this!!! It`s more than enough!!! In fact Carcass should release a live DVD.
Got to have Carcass in your collection!!!!!! If not your missing out badly.I have the white T shirt, Reek Of Puterefaction cover on front and on the back saids (Nauseating Tour) and I take care of that T shirt like gold, jajajajaja.
@Imposerofficial That "bitch" with the epic red mane of rock is Michael Amott, the other guitarist for Carcass on the Necrotism and Heartwork albums. Also the guitarist for Arch Enemy and Spiritual Beggars.
To be honest I really liked the original track version with multiple vocalists (Well Jeff and Bill) but I feel that Jeffs ability to attempt both wasn't that bad.
The studio version is way better IMHO, but the bass sounds really good here (the sound in Necroticism was generally too flat). Still, I miss the "dialogue" between Jeff and Bill, the sick detuned part near the end of the song and the overall coldness.
man, jeff walker says he's weak as a bass player, but he's tight as fuck, and singing those lyrics at the same time
The fact he doesnt play lead bass doesnt mean hes weak
Bassists need to be solid at first before all
And hes surely solid as fuck
he calls himself a failed guitarist lol
British humor. He is essentially trolling himself.
Dunning kruger
CarBASS
ja ja ron damón
+Mauricio Hernández Díaz Good for learning bass line.
yeah holy hell, sounds good though
BAdaSS
very fucking bass mix !
I'm in love with his bass sound!
I prefer more like in Ruptured in Purulence
Or Childs play...
Of course you do, you can barely hear anything else.
The bass is so heavy omg
One of the greatest songs ever created, by one of the greatest bands in history.
I love this song and they played great but seriously way too fast
Doug Munis sounds similar speed to the Bezerkers cover
YOU HEAT THAT CARCASS? FASTER!
I got ya covered: th-cam.com/video/mDBqe_yCKv8/w-d-xo.html
Well, thanks for keeping the camera on Amott during his solo...
Man I hated that part... my lil bro with myopia could've done a better camera job than this shit.
Thats what you get for being a ging i guess
No it was good
Lol
Best band to come out of Liverpool, EVER
Only after Beatles*
@@ladinark1672 Fuck the Beatles Carcass Kicks Ass
@@BudgieFan101 why can't we love both lol
I concur... Carcass can play The Yellow Submarine but can The Beatles play This Mortal Coil...???
They are playing Liverpool June 2023
i saw carcass live two weeks ago. it was sooooo good. met bill steer before the show too, such a down to earth guy
I fucking love the sound of his bass....plus all the tools of the trade for fret markers is too bad ass
That bass is sexy as hell!
I like how he screams random words instead of following the lyrics :)
The lyris are omposed of random words already XD
Bill Steer has one of the strangest, but truly awesome, guitar styles Ive ever heard, and Im a huge Ammot fan.
Ultimate Bass Sound!
That bass sounds awesome. Glad they had a good sound technician who remembered to mix it into the speakers.
Ещё когда учился в школе сводил с ума этой шикарной компазицией одноклассников и учителей,а сейчас соседей
Ahí es ,mm desde Nicaragua amo a esa banda
Охеренная вещь!
THAT bass !
Bass killer sound! Great song.
I`m listening to Carcass about 20 years and never get enough. Hail from Macedonia!!
This takes me back to being 15 again! I played the hell outta this damn CD!!!
The sound of this track is so thick and heavy with that distinctive bass nice and loud in the mix. Great stuff!
Ah man, way too fast for this song... (my favorite Carcass song)
I agree 100%, gives the song a diff vibe
@@timsoechtig4139 So true, happens so often with many live takes of all bands...
It just doesn't groove in the same way when play it at around 160 bpm when compared to the studio version (which is played at around 142-145 bpm).
Weird why they do it. It's extremely obvious and sounds terrible.
Was really happy when they did a reunion tour, but a bit disappointed that Bill didn't do most of his original vocal work (except on Ruptured in Purulence).

incarnated solvent abuse, another great hit
this band is legit a machine
the new drummers (daniel erlandsson and daniel wilding) never play the old material right. ken owens playing had a lot more swing and they pretty much ignore that
jeffs voice sounds great on this though, maybe better than on the records
True. It makes for an interesting mix though. Jeff's playing is solid throughout rather than many bassist's lacklustre performances. Just to hear the track performed with a different instrument focus makes this a must-hear version.
Carcass - A lyrical, musical & historical masterpieces maker.Awaiting for the long awaited masterpiece (Surgical Steel)
Mr Walker usually drinks in the ba I frequenty nice fella he is.
CountVarg in the ba.

Badass live performance. 🔥🔥🔥
Love this song.
But it's played too fast, it's lost the power and groove of the album track, feels rushed.

They intentionally played fast to fit their whole set
Agree
I like the faster part it sounds better
GREAT! You were the BEST at SRF Norje Boke.
Awesome bass sound ! Can't wait for new album !
Amazing sound
I really don`t know if I`m asking too much but a video of the complete thing would be superb!!! Thank you for uploading this!!! It`s more than enough!!! In fact Carcass should release a live DVD.
Amazing live version!
Dat intro! Pure metal power.
great to see there still around
That fucking bass!!
When did James Labrie join Carcass :P

Got to have Carcass in your collection!!!!!! If not your missing out badly.I have the white T shirt, Reek Of Puterefaction cover on front and on the back saids (Nauseating Tour) and I take care of that T shirt like gold, jajajajaja.

Never heard them until randomly coming to this video just now... Gotta say, awesome shit.
Love how they're having fun, also Surgical Steel kicks major ass!
You beat me to it :-P
Carcass has always had a really cool bass sound.
Carcass is the best If they tour again I will definitely see them and I'm buying Jeff's bass when it comes out
Jeff Walker’s voice is absolutely brutal. He reminds me a lot of Lemmy from motorhead what a massive stage presence.🤘💀🤘💯
i've been a CARCASS fuckin fan since! thanks for this maaaaaannnnn!
Não conhecia essa banda Carcass mas agora nuca mais esquecerei ela é d+ .:)
its insane how their hair have diversity.
@Supernikomaru thanks.. i knew it wasnt Ken.. didnt think he was supposed to fully recover..
BIG bass sound!
First time i listened to Carcass was 15 years ago on a cassette tape... ;)
@Imposerofficial That "bitch" with the epic red mane of rock is Michael Amott, the other guitarist for Carcass on the Necrotism and Heartwork albums. Also the guitarist for Arch Enemy and Spiritual Beggars.
This awesome video makes up for the fact that Michael plays Deans now.
I love this band!!
please do, i'll be looking forward to seeing it.
saw carcass for the first time in sydney, 2008, metro, great night, heavy as fuck.....was glad to have finally seen them play before they went.
That is awsome great sound
Proud British so fucking happy carcass came out of UK one of my favourite bands
Didnt know much about them but damn they are so good. Swangon is a masterpiece.
beautiful, man. love it!
Much appreciated !!
Yes, that guy is Michael Ammot. And he and his brother are founders of Arch Enemy, after Michael left Carcass.
This was only Amott's band before Arch Enemy. For the recent Carcass reunion, Erlandsson has filled in for Ken Owen.
Aun no puedo creer que los vaya a ver este año en el Hell and heaven!!
To be honest I really liked the original track version with multiple vocalists (Well Jeff and Bill) but I feel that Jeffs ability to attempt both wasn't that bad.
These guys will never get "too old" for this shit.
Amazing Bass ! Perfect !
Super, super foda. aliás, foda está até abaixo de qualquer ''boa definição'' pra todas as músicas deles...
The studio version is way better IMHO, but the bass sounds really good here (the sound in Necroticism was generally too flat). Still, I miss the "dialogue" between Jeff and Bill, the sick detuned part near the end of the song and the overall coldness.
Awesome. That one cover you did that was like 30 seconds long was actually pretty good haha.
all fixin their hair lol
una de las mejores banda exponentes del grind y del death metal
and that's completely fine. Good luck with what you were trying to look up.
yes!, the guitarrist and the drummer, Michael Amott and Daniel Erlandsson respectively lml,
I love this too much
