TH-cam is just that...no one should be expecting anyone to share every second of their life. There is a line to be drawn between sharing content of lifestyle, fashion and luxury vs. personal relationships, family and personal life issues. I don't even want to know about everything in someone's life. I use TH-cam as an escape for black girl luxury, fashion, self-care and just living day to day fabulously. Anything else, I don't need to know.

Come to find out some of them are curated content and not realistic. No one knows what happens outside of the 30 min clips. I need to head out to Nordstrom and pick up some stuff.
This rant was very informative for others to see, because social (at times) make us think that if we’re not at a certain point then, it’s pointless. “You see the success, but you don’t know their story” But through it all just continue to got after all that God has.

I get the rant…but lifestyle creators make content that suggests they are living a certain life. Literally editing, aesthetics and the whole production of TH-cam videos now compared to 10 or so years ago when it was just fun experimental videos. Creators are orchestrating the perceptions. So it’s not entirely unfounded that their viewers believe it. Your content is snippets of your life and it’s normal human nature to assume that’s the persons lifestyle.
Yea we are pretty much agreeing lol but we as humans in that same human nature have to tap into our common sense and realize, everything isn’t what it seems no matter how it looks or who it’s coming from because even before creators, the same thing was going on. Just as simple as you just had a huge heartbreak but you go to your job and put a smile on all day. You never know what someone is going through just from what you see/ what they show you.
