great job for being a much different drift car and not having much experience drifting on a track thats amazing if I ever tried drifting it would've taken me weeks to get down what u got in minutes
Best methods I found were extreme throttle control or tapping the throttle in quick succession. and be easy on the steering as well. Also, on a long stretch of road ease it into full throttle, then whip the mofo and it will pull giant wide drifts
After the mess you saw at the start and then to be able to pull off those drifts at the end, yeah, put a big smile on my face. Very rewarding to do that. 😊
Ah yep, so I just bought this car, just the rx7 body instead. Its my first 1/10 car, and obviously my first drift car. It's amazing, the drifts you can do are incredible and I highly recommend. Like yourself, the first 30 mins was chaos but you learn throttle control quickly and it performs amazingly. I would recommend buying a second body shell, as with only an hour or 2 I have cracked the front bumper in 2 spots and the rear bumper, and of course scuffs and scratches throughout. However body shells are cheap as chips, and this car is at an amazing price. I think Aud for the car, a 5400mah lipo, 4 AA batteries and a charger I paid 404$
Howdy I’m new to all this and am wanting to buy this same car could you tell me what battery connector the car has ? All it says where I purchased it from online is that it recommends a S2 lipo or a 7.2 ni-mh battery’s but these battery’s come with numerous different connectors on them so they need to match the one the RC car has.
Brand new drift car first time out plus on new track let me say you held your own Vas and at the end there you were doing pretty damn good, I don't own a drift car (yet) but was lucky enough that a kind bloke let me give it a go with his and man it is not easy but wow it is addictive, Awesome video Vas looking forward to seeing more drift action from you 2 thumbs up thanks for sharing that with us.
Hey mate i've got the brushless version of that but the handbrake doesn't lock after i let go of the accelerator, and it seems my suspension is sagging on the floor im so lost
Great vid mate. I appreciate the way you did this vid. Having never driven a drift and keen to make one my second rc, I got alot out of your vid. Cheers.
When entering the corners you shouldnt give it too much throttle, just give it a few quick taps. Also be easy with the steering, when you give it too much you will oversteer (Spin out). Those were some of my tips for you.Have a nice day Vas.Also happy drifting in the future!
Great video! :D You should try the Redcat Racing Lightning EPX Drift. Don't let the branding deceive you. It's tough. The gears are especially tough. The only thing I broke on mine was a set of wheels, since my driveway is un-level panels of concrete. I drifted into a rising panel and broke the spokes, they were wheels off a 50$ car so I was okay with it.
Hey Vas ... How does it compare to the HobbyKing Mission-D 4WD GTR you reviewed? Is it worth the extra money for some one who is normally just a backyard basher to have a go at drifting? I really fancy a drift car, but cant justify too much expense for an experiment.Cheers ... and keep up the good work cobbs!
I would love to get into drifting but sadly I am one of the only people around where I live that actually owns an RC car so I would have to travel some time to get to an actual descent drift course.
hay dude awesome video, i got a good car for you to review. its the hsp flying fish 1 amazing little car, sotrong, well balanced and for the upgrads there only around about $100
I also have the hsp flying fish. It's not a good drift car due to a very crappy stock steering servo and a very limited steering angle. Apart from that it has a pretty tough drivetrain. I use it as a touring car. For sure you cannot compare it to the Team Magic E4.
+Schmidy76 brushless can handle water just fine to. most a sealed cans so u dont have to worry about getting it gummed up in mud like brushed. just make sure the esc is waterproof or u waterproof it.
Didn't know you went to western hobbies lol!!! message me or something and we can vs each other, I live in Caroline springs not far from western hobbies, I've got a wrx.
This my first drift car but I dint like the fact the parts are absolutely impossible to source, so not really worth to buy. Driving wise its pretty easy to drift since the rear are full lock. But you could do the same with real rear differential by using higher viscosity diff oil. Overall I don’t recommend E4D, the biggest problem is real diff cups are plastic and they tends to break or worn out. If u want to swap with after market rear diff you gotta spend like 80usd for one, which is ridiculous! And if you try to plug n play other brands parts, trust me, TM thought about it and avoid you to do so by designing everything that will not interchange with other brands RC drift cars ! Annoying !
Parts between brands are not designed to be interchangeable, so I don't know why you would even mention this in your comment. You can't fit a HPI a-arm on a TM car or a Yokomo shock tower on a HPI car. Regarding parts support for this TM car, there's no issues getting parts for these here in Australia, but if you didn't do your research prior to purchasing the car in your part of the world, then that's on you. It's all good and well to blame the brand for not having parts available where you live, but some of that blame also falls on you for not doing your homework on the brand beforehand.
That was funny as! Does show the learning curve real well. Great job guys!
Thoroughly enjoyed the banter between Paul and yourself. Great first try! Does not look easy.
great job for being a much different drift car and not having much experience drifting on a track thats amazing if I ever tried drifting it would've taken me weeks to get down what u got in minutes
Thank you so much. :)

the feeling of getting the nice long drift around the sweeper in to the straight to the hairpin must be awesome
After the mess you saw at the start and then to be able to pull off those drifts at the end, yeah, put a big smile on my face. Very rewarding to do that. 😊
+Aussie RC Playground good to hear man looked fun.

Great video guys. Thank you as well for explaining how this car works with drifting. I am looking forward to trying out the things you told us about.
Just letting u know, the concave wheels are for camber. So if u wanna go hella flush, then u can adjust the camber.
I love rc car
Great video Vas! I like the format. It is good to see that learning curve and getting the story about it as well.
Hey mate i've got the brushless version of that but the handbrake doesn't lock after i let go of the accelerator, and it seems my suspension is sagging on the floor im so lost

Can you do teacher running videos rc off road tracks
I really think aussie did great
Thanks. :)
😉👍💯
Review the maverick desert wolf please
all good man
Need help! Should i buy a brushed motor rc car and then upgrade it to a brushless motor or should i go with brushless directly?
depends on what you want to do, for speed go brushless, crawling, trail, or drift go brushed. If you want to go into water definitely go brushed.
+Schmidy76 brushless can handle water just fine to. most a sealed cans so u dont have to worry about getting it gummed up in mud like brushed. just make sure the esc is waterproof or u waterproof it.
How much?
That first run looked like me playing forza
havent done an unboxing in a while
Haha, don't worry, there's plenty on the way. 😉
+Aussie RC Playground ok thanx, no rush😉

Whats the max steering lock?
Didn't know you went to western hobbies lol!!! message me or something and we can vs each other, I live in Caroline springs not far from western hobbies, I've got a wrx.

Brushed

$500 for this bad boy? DAAAYMN
paul should have kept his giggles inside😅
western hobbies be like " aye thats my track"
german saying for drifting :Fährst do quer siehst du mehr! ( If you drive sideways you´ll see more of your ride :P)
Eighth!
Good video btw

Now I know my 4wd is more easy to drive
