What are Mole Grips? Is that a British thing? Vise Grips is it name of the company that has patents and manufactures them in the USA but where did Mole Grips come from?
Since I don't know the names used around the world, I took a look at Wikipedia which states that there are many names: "Locking pliers (also called Vise-Grips, a vice grip, Mole wrench or mole grips) are pliers that can be locked into position, using an "over-center" cam action".

@@HowToForum Yes I now see it is the name of a company in England. I first ran across the term mole grips in a Wikipedia article about locks and they said something about putting your mole grips through a hole. At first I thought about the animal, the mole, and thought it might be needle nose plyers to fit in the hole but searching I found you video and now know what they were talking about.
@@magiclocks9206 original vintage Mole Grips are probably made to at least the same standard as the Peterson Vise-Grips before they went Chinese.
Malco Eagle Grips seem to be a more modern sought after version for USA but they're expensive and also discontinued.
