the most normal collection , not excessive nor too little , love it
So refreshing seeing someone with a “normal” amount of makeup! Sometimes I feel like I need to buy new products just because every influencer rave about it. And in some way it can almost be… stressful? I don’t have the money to spend on every high-end makeup product out there. I think to myself, if you find a product that works for you, why buy a new one? I try to remind myself that! Loved this video and your setup ❤

Thanks! And I know what you mean: my collection used to be double this at least! It took a lot of work to stop buying and start using / parting ways with some of the products. But once you reach a capsule collection like this you have time to really experiment with each product. You'll get there! 😊💕

Those drawers are the perfect size
I have a similarly sized collection! I try to spend thoughtfully. I did have a larger collection because it was like, ten years of makeup where most had expired 💀 anyway, thanks for sharing! Your makeup area is cute and comforting. The white and wood is just nice together.

In my 20s I also became a 'makeup junkie' and had a mega full makeup table.
Now I'm 32 and moved to a new home and minimanized to about your stash's size! :) it's more fullfilling and I use everythinf I have almost daily.
I think we were both victims of the youtube beauty boom 😂 when I turned 30 I felt so overwhelmed with everything I had I started decluttering and now I'm soooo happy with a medium/small collection that's actually being used!
Tape residue can be removed with a tiny drip of oil cleanser or simply any liquid oil on a cotton pad. You just need to rub it till it comes off :) hope this helps!

A tip for the Bourjois foundation. I have the same problem with the new Loreal Infallible foundation - it stick to my dry spots, doesn't have a silky finish. I was about to give it away to a friend when the lady at my local drugstore told me to try and mix the foundation with my moisturizer. It worked. It had a nice finish...almost like a BB cream on your face. You can build it up as much as you like. I don't go for full coverage because my skin doesn't need a lot of correction but I've noticed that if you keep applying you can build it up to full coverage.
I actually tried this last weekend and it was better! It still looked a little patchy after a few hours, but it went on so much smoother and looked great for the first 4-5hrs. So thankfully it's not going entirely to waste 😂 Thanks for sharing the tip 💕

I’m going through the opposite: I have a minimal makeup setup, but I’ve been rly exited with some makeup items I found, which is making me grow my collection… But I absolutely do not picture myself rushing into buying everything at once (don’t even have the money for that). Here are some of the things I like the most: “tinted glossy/ creamy lip stuff” and Disney/ Barbie/ Winx Club collectible makeup (still couldn’t find anything Winx, but I have lots of Disney stuff and a Barbie makeup mirror on my wishlist)! Huge hugs!!
As long as you enjoy and use what you're adding to your collection, go for it! All the Disney and Barbie collectibles sound so cute 😍
Colourpop has a few winx products. There sold out of a lot of stuff but I think they still have a highlighter stick and some face gems

love it ! just recently had to move back in with my parents to help them since they are getting older and it’s difficult saying goodbye to stuff i don’t even use anymore - but this inspired me to declutter and have a smaller collection to use all my products ❤

20:57 If you want to remove the sticky glue residue that the tape leaves on your lipsticks, just apply a little bit of oil on the residue and leave it overnight. You’ll be able to wipe off the glue next morning with soapy wash cloth. Hope it helps! :)
Oh nice! I'll have to try that. In the past I tried using alcohol and in some cases it ruined the packaging so I avoid doing it... But I'll try the oil trick! Thanks
The rare beauty blush is great as one dot and then blended out with a damp beauty blender/ real techniques sponge. Use the the Nars Orgasm with the brush because brush = higher coverage .
Such a beautiful collection and so realistic really pretty andd much better than huge over consumption makeup

I loved seeing your minimal(ish) collection! I more or less have a similar size collection but some stuff just don't work for me, and I'm missing a lot of stuff so I hope to curate stuff that I actually love and use with everything I need but with a little variety. Also, if you ever hit pan and run out of some products and you wanna try something new, I highlyyy recommend korean beauty products from yesstyle or olive young. Their quality is the same if not better than most high-end western brands at drugstore prices basically, especially their lip products!
It's definitely a process trying out all the products and learning to use the ones that don't work so they don't go to waste. I used to just forget about what I didn't like after two or three uses and buy the next thing, but that's so wasteful... so now I give products a good chance before I declutter them and then research the next thing to avoid waste. You'll get there, I'm sure! Just keep doing your research and testing out your things :) And thanks for the recommendations!
I'm complete opposite, brushes definitely make a huge difference...I'm a makeup/brush enthusiast and have a big collection of real techniques to sigma and bk beauty,rose and Ben beauty and they r some of the best hands down! 😍 Yes real technique is a great brand but once u dip ur toes into high end brushes u never go back!! I use to buy 1 brush at a time just to feel it out and I fell in love❤❤

Oh! For the rare beauty blush - the way they say to use it is to put it on BEFORE foundation and put foundation on top of it. I have never used a blush like that but that’s how they use it.. wonder if it would help tone it down
I'll have to try that, although I'd be scared the foundation would later move it 🤔
@@annavictoria0490 I agree with you that using that expensive blush on the back of the hand is simply wasting a lot of product, so instead it's better to directly place the blush wand on your cheeks. Try to use a very tiny dot like the size of a mole.

You might could mix your two foundation shades together in order to get use of them both-it might shade correct the too-light color and give more hydration to the drugstore one. :)
Just started doing that a few days ago! But it messes with the beautiful finish of the Shiseido foundation :( So I'm going Casper for now and then fixing it with bronzer / blush haha

I've a similar make up collection, maybe more lips produts and foundations but I really like your setup and keep juat the products you really use 💗 My problem is on skincare as I've over 50 products and is crazy to find space for all that 😂
If you want a similar product to the rare beauty blush but easier to work or sheerer, try the ELF ones, they look very similar but I find the ELF easier
Sadly elf doesn't sell in my country 🥲 it's not easy to get my hands on it. But I'll keep it in mind for future travels to the UK!

To take the tape glue residue off, you can use the etiquette sticker itself or another tape. Take the sticker off, then press it again on the surface with the residue, and take it off again. Do that a dozen times and fast. The glue residue will stick to the glue side of the tape. I hope y'all get what I mean, it's not easy to describe. But it really works!

I love red lips! It was my go to for years too, but I've evolved into other shades and now prefer more muted reds/pinks. I still rock a red lip during Christmas though!
Niceeeee! I loved it! minimal and enough! I'm minimizing my makeup collection the most I can't, finishing first the products that I already have, and then not experimenting too much, if I love something I repurchase it
I've decided to stop experimenting with foundations and concealers. I know which ones work for me and I'm sticking to those! Any time I try something different it tends to be a miss 😩

Thank you for sharing. I personally don’t think this is minimal and you are holding onto products that you don’t love which is not a minimalist mentality but it’s definitely a process as it took me years to declutter and condense to the essentials. I usually offer to give good stuff away to my mum / sister / niece as not to throw things away. A drop of lemon essential oil will melt sticky residue straight off 😊
My makeup collection is pretty minimalist, except for eyeshadow. I’m fine having one or two options for each step, but I love experimenting with eye makeup!
I'm so jealous of people who are great at eyeshadow. I'm really bad at it and also don't have the patience haha

A little tip for the rare beauty blush; put only one dot on each cheek and blend well, that is usually enough😊 and if you want more u just add another dot, but yeah i also have it (the mini) and it literally NEVER run out when you just put one dot and you don’t waste your product
Honestly this is my dream collection. I have hoarded so much makeup because I love it so much but I always watch these videos and think how stress free it is to just have what you need and actually get to use it all. I know the amount I have is so wasteful and in a way it stresses me out lol
it took a while, not gonna lie! I used to have more than this and it was really overwhelming. you'll get there! just have to keep good track of what you have so you make sure you use it!
For the Rare Beauty blush, have you tried scraping the excess off on the edge of the opening? That way you aren't wasting a ton of product, and you get to better control the amount you place on your face.

I think we're slowly realising it's not realistic to ever use as much makeup, and we're going back to using and enjoying the products we have ❤️

The fact that i watched this before expanding my makeup collection, i buy stuff of the same shade as my previous makeup though. It doesn’t make sense of making a bigger collection as an introvert that doesn’t go out much, i just wear everyday makeup when i go to uni.
yeah I can relate to that! I stopped buying "going out" makeup on clothes after I realised I only ever went out at night once or twice a year at most 😂

That little drawer organizer is very cute. Some makeup tips I thought I’d share:
- you can mix the liquid highlighter into your foundation or even into your sunscreen/body lotion for a “from within glow”
- you can mix the not pigmented liquid blush with a dot of the super pigmented one or add pressed powder/a tiny dot of liquid foundation over the blush to soften it up.
-you can mix a bit of the red lipsticks with your other ones to give it a bit of color
You never to have to settle for using makeup the one way it was sold as or is intended. I don’t purchase bright colorful eyeshadows when I can use my blushes, I sometimes use lipsticks as cream blushes and sometimes use darker eyeshadows as bronzers if the color is decent enough, and I sometimes mix foundation into moisturizer to use as “tinted moisturizer”. 🙂

I'm not a fan of the word normal 😂 I have friends who aren't into beauty content but have loads more makeup, as well as people who consume a lot of beauty content and have very little.
Agreed, I'd say it's about the perfect size. I like to keep mine in a similar size container and you can do a lot with this stuff

My minimal makeup collection for years been just mascara and under eye concealer. And lip balm for cold time of the year, but I think its rather skin care than makeup. ;P

Btw have you tried mixing moisturizer with that Bourjois foundation? I actually rarely wear my foundation any other way because I love the glow and comfort, and how well everything else goes on top
Yeah, and a lot of the disappointments have come from raved about products on social media 😅 but I'll still use them, and luckily I have a lot of other products I do love!
I’d recommend some coconut oil (or any oil you have) to remove the tape on your L’Oreal lipstick! Melts it right off ❤

Treat the old real technique brush black handle with pure alcohol. It dissolves the corrupted matte layer. It will look like new.

Sadly no... I got it years ago, but I'm sure there are similar styles if you search bamboo organizer or something along those lines
Use lighter gas to remove all the sticky tape residues. Use it with a small cloth😊
I loved your products, I just can't bring myself to continue purchasing so much bc i can't finish the products then they go bad and it's all wasted and barely used so i also don't buy much anymore and i think it's better

One foundation is never enough for me. One day my skin is different than the next. Sometimes I need more coverage or I want a light coverage on normal days. And in the summer I have more color in my face than in the winter.
Absolutely, I like having a couple options as well, since most days I either don't wear foundation or only wear it as concealer

Hola! De Mercadona sobre todo he probado labiales (los bálsamos con color y los delineadores) y están muy bien. También tuve un colorete que iba muy bien, pero lo perdí en una mudanza 🫠 De productos faciales (base, corrector, polvos de sol, etc.) no puedo decirte porque son todos demasiado oscuros o naranjas para mi 😅

This reminds me of how expired the majority of my makeup is. A lot of it is from 2019. Probably due a refresh 😂. I don’t wear it too often but I have graduation coming up.
I'd say throw out creams (foundations, concealers...) and anything that goes around the eye. Powders can last a bit longer as long as they look and smell fine! You're not supposed to use them past the date but honestly, I don't know anyone who throws out their powders after 12 or 18 months 😅

Agreed! I used to watch huge collections admiring everything they had and now I feel anxious and overwhelmed by them. I even feel overwhelmed by my own collection sometimes and I use basically all I have!

I don’t get people when they have lots of brushes and they have less makeup products so why have lots. Of brushes ?????
in my case, these are the brushed I've gathered almost 15 years of using makeup and while I don't use all of theme every time I do my makeup, I do often like to have options so I can apply with one and then blend with a clean one, whether that's blush application or eyeshadow (in which case I use up to 3 brushes). I don't always have the chance to clean my brushes in between uses so it also helps to have options to make sure I'm not mixing colours or formulas when I don't want to. It's definitely not a need to have this many brushes but it makes my application process more precise and enjoyable :)
Hi! Vaselin is made out of petrolatum, maybe the worst product you can put on your lips-mouth. There are very good options with natural/organic/non toxic ingredients. There are two different brands very affordable.
La vera and Kneipp.
Yep, I have other non toxic options but I hate throwing out products that are still full and not expired 😞
