Just for clarification, all these products are actually Argos returned products. You can tell it is Argos by checking the catalog numbers of some of the products in the video, especially the Xbox controller that you can see in the video.
All the wires in the steering wheel sometimes are not connected properly and often times that leads to the "does not respond to steering" error. It might be a perfectly fine steering wheel.
Dude if the microwaves dont work you could disintigrate the thing and extract the things that work like the motor, heater, the mica plates. They would sell for good amount I reckon
