Fantastic, now _"All I want for christmas is hell fire"_
oh hell yes let me know if these folks- or ANYONE- does that specific cover pls!?
Notre dame itself did hell fire. Didn't turn out very well.
This is my favorite comment of 2019!
@@ThisName1 Too fucking soon 😭😭
Some warmth to the middle of a cold winter, right?
Here's to the soprano in the white sweater! Absolutely amazing: A++
That is Kate Lott.
JoeyKneecap I've seen her perform in Voices of Liberty. What a voice!
Joey kneecap the original cast recording leave that note for instruments.
She is amazing.
She's like higher than octave dude!
Everyone loves when those high high notes are nailed; but you also have a couple FANTASTIC true bass voices in there that were wonderfully deep and resonating
Yes!!!!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE TENOR HITTING A D5??????????
ARE YOU *KIDDING* ME???????
Impressive sh** bruh yeah. You should hear the contratenor in the actually song from the MOVIE hit a high c.
@@brennenfoerst3908 Paul Candle?
@@DaisyOh the last note at the end.
Brennen Foerst from the actual song a normal tenor (the voice actor for Clopin who is a professional singer) sings up to a supported E flat. You have your pitch and voice type a bit off.
Boundary please stop making me miserable
they deserve the exact same sucess as the pentatonix
nah, they deserve more
And Home Free!
K.Jojo ptx has been doing what they do for five years and it's only five of them
Yeah, that's true. But I personally like this better. I think this requires more skill to sing than what ptx sings.
Asha Brown yeah i love pentatonix they really deserve what's happening to them. im not saying anything wrong about them.
This is the mash-up I never knew I always wanted.
Same thought :D :D
I'm still not sure If I wanted it or not, but certainly I can no longer live without.
Mostly everyone is commenting on the soprano in the white sweater but that tenor section is bomb af, you can hear it the whole time so I'd like to give kudos to those tenors
Yes!!!
FACTS!!! He's her Octive!!! He's absolute Vocal 🔥🔥
*turns on captions* "Bring good cheer to the people of chicken silver gravy." *looks at TH-cam*
Idk how often I come back here but I'm JUST seeing your comment and it's BRILLIANT 😂😂😂 I turned the captions ON just to see it for myself and "LeTube" did not disappoint. 😭😭😭😂😂😂 Thank you
You don't know how much it means to hear the Bells of Notre Dame. Hunchback is my whole life!
Nathan R. Bradford Same! I was obsessed with it for ages, started with the book and saw every movie. How did you get into it?
I watched it the summer it came out in 1996. Ever since then I've been a fan. It was my whole childhood. I had all the toys, poster, calendar, bedsheets, and movie.
Nathan R. Bradford aww :) I had a stuffed Quasi when I was little, but didn't get into the story until I was 14. You should read the book, it's different from the Disney movie but it's so cool!
You should watch Notre Dame de Paris, if you don't mind reading subtitles. It's similar to the book, and it's all music.
interesting i might do that
This really makes the whole group shine. You get those massive soprano notes but the super deep base notes as well. You need every part from the deepest base to the highest tenor notes up to the sopranos and everything in between. Its probably the most vocally diverse song they have done. Its so beautiful.
And once again, the altos are forgotten ;)
@@tylerthompson9017 Altos? What altos? All I ever hear is great bass, very good tenors and screeching sopranos that sound like fingernails on a chalkboard.
@@lear1980 but you'd hear of they're missing because their voices all flow beautifully. :)
What about altos😓
Robert Evans
Oh dear, a deep voice is called 'Bass', and the deepest is the 'Basso Profundo'
omg the lady to the far right has pipes
Check out Voctav's video "Mary, Did You Know" with Mark Lowry and then listen at 2.35 into the video. She hits a note that is simply amazing.
@@singingscotty2001 that is a female high g (G6)
Kate Lott is brilliant
She's a High Soprano!!
@@billiea9756 she's a High Soprano not a female high g(G6)
The most underrated part of this video is 2:20 when Ashley pulls a face at Kurt while he sings on the phone. 😂
1:11 they r trying so hard not to laugh
I bet the high soprano farted...lol
Gabriella Yates exactly
@@joshualarsen2285 lol
Dam the girl in the white has incredible range
YES, she does
Yes,she's a High Soprano!!!
Who hears “Carol Of The Bells” and can only think of Kevin getting his traps ready in Home Alone
I haven't a clue about tenors, sopranos, etc. but I recognize talent above and beyond. The woman in the center is outright amazing and the others are remarkable.
People tend to focus and give more credits to the dazzling sopranos in general, but in choir or vocal group, sopranos cannot stand alone without the altos, the tenors and basses who give a strong fondation and make everything prettier to people's ears. One of them is missing, then the group won't create the harmony. Oh, and I'm a soprano btw.
Anasah Istifarin second alto represent! 8DDDDD thank you for this comment :3
I'm a Soprano 1! I would say represent but I'm also an Alto 2 sooooo...
I sing Soprano 2, but i go as low as tenor, on a good day as low as Bass/Baritone
Elizabeth Bickford oh dang that's cool!
Elizabeth Bickford I'm a contralto and I can hit all the guy notes. my choir teacher has told me before that my voice is very unique and it's very hard to find someone who is a true contralto. That's so surprising that you can hit those low notes as a high notes soprano! I am only on the alto/contralto side though and since TRUE altos are really rare, I am glad to be one! For what choir do you sing in?
The lady in the plaid is so theatrical I love it lol
Ayanna Mae I'm the opposite. I felt it took away from the whole vibe. Serious overacting from the whole group. Just sing...
Nonya Bidness I feel like BOTH of you, my mom is just like that, theatrical in every single thing she does. I love her, and sometimes its funny, but also sometimes it drives me crazy. And when shes angry? You cant take her seriously at all.
@@nonyabidness5708 Ditto.
"The lady in plaid" is Kate Lott, the most phenomenal soprano on the planet.
The "lady in plaid" is Tiffany Coburn, Kate Lott is in the cream colored sweater and they are both amazing sopranos
I'm listening to this looking at the remains of Notre Dame :(
:'(
Same
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Such a sad tragedy.
Welll i'm french, so i know what you mean, but so you know, it was a sick satanic sacrifice of what these guys saw as "their" own cathedral. And yeah, i hope they will just be blasted off this planet and can never return.
AAAAAAAA HOLY HELL, THAT TENOR. ARE YOU BLOODY *KIDDING* ME? THAT'S INSANE. 2:27
It's called a falsetto
Kate lott hit a soprano high notes too next to the main tenor!!
@@nzwnwlg1621 that's not falsetto. That's chest.
@@nzwnwlg1621 He was doing a mix belt, so still in his chest voice.
She didn't have to go that hard, but she did.
These people are so underrated! This is ART
Kate... I can't.... I just... Speechless
Pentatonix : They are amazing and really have a cool voice at singing 👏👏👏
Voctave : Amazing, Beautiful and the most important always get in Straight to my heart.
Both of the group is really amazing 👏👏👏
Ayuwdisney Channel I'd recommend you look at groups like BYU Vocal Point and Chanticleer as well
Check out VoicePlay!
Also home free their tenor hits just as high as E.J
Try OneVoice Acapella
Johnny Gutierrez really where ?
This is probably the best version of this song I've heard. They somehow manage to out-do huge choirs with full orchestras in how powerful they sound. ❤
Them singing "Hellfire" it's all I need in this life right now.
that bass thou
OH MY!!!!! She hit the note for the Bells of Notre Dome!!!!!! LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! They all are wonderful. This mashup is amazing
Best arrangement I've heard of "Carol of the Bells." Perfect harmony and voices.
Why are people bringing up Pentatonix on this video? I'm a HUGE Pentaholic but there's no reason to compare. This group is completely different from them but they both have amazing talent. Let them do their own thing and just enjoy the music
Exactly...
But I do like the Mary did you know voctave version better
Limitz I haven't listened to their version but it all comes down to personal taste.
Limitz. Awesome
Tyavia Jones it's because they featured Kirsten Maldonado in another video.
Samuel Ramos I know they did but I don't see the point in comparison
I love how they're all themselves when they sing and it's a bunch of friends having a good time
I’m way way overdue sharing with you what a quenching and balm your singing was to me when I discovered you during the COVID-19 pandemic. I listened to you for hours non stop with tears streaming from me for the deep satisfaction I was experiencing of equal measures excellence, beauty and joy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Most underrated part: basses at 1:20...😳
THAT. FREAKING. TENOR. 2:27
Raldon Jed Masallo he and Kate legit snatched my whole damn life with that note😂
ikr, he and David Phelps have, to me, the most pleasant tones mixing that high. D5 ?! Come on !!
It's called Falsetto or Head notes........
@@williamriviere795 I don't even think he's mixing, more of an operatic full voice with covering in my opinion, especially at 0:07. If he's mixing there's definitely a lot of chest in it.
@@aleperdire4005 I think he is mixing. I believe Opera male singers use mix too when they go to their higher belts, even if it's mostly chest. It's easier when you sing that high. It's just that their mixing is so good that it sounds full and we don't hear the transition between registers because it's so smooth.
2:30 The soprano's too much for even Voctave to handle!
The tenor hits it too!
Surilan you should listen to some of their other songs. she goes higher
Surilan I was going to say the tenor hit it too! The guys don’t ever get enough credit 😂 That’s how the note is sung in the movie as well, I love that they played with the facial expressions so much on this video!
Mary, Did You Know with Mark Lowry. Check her out there!!
I got to see this live. It made all the hairs on my body stand straight up. I'm so grateful I got to see them in concert.
They all look like they are having such a fantastic time. Very entertaining.
That soprano and bass tho!!!
The lady in the white sweater would be an amazing Carlotta in Phantom
Notre Dame will stand again. I remember this song from when I was a kid. When something like this happens it's a wierd feeling that a part of your childhood is gone. Don't wanna be melodramatic but it was one of the humanities prides and well known structures.
I came for that amazing high note at the end. Brought me to tears!
Yaasssss!!!! I'm obsessed with the first soprano! Don't know her name, but white sweater. Mmmm just the clearest of tones!!!!
Seth Salsbury Her name is Kate Lott. I'm obsessed with her too! Lol
I have been proposing to Kate's voice for 4years!!! 8th wonder of the world.
Seth Salsbury Amen to that, brother; shout out to her and EJ for holding that high D in octaves near the end
I'm so impressed with her control. She doesn't have to belt out the high notes to keep them solid. She's able to blend in so well, while being in outrageous ranges.
I agree!!!!!
Did you just mix my favorite Disney soundtrack with my favorite Christmas song? :O WHERE WERE YOU ALL MY LIFE? :')
Em brah I was just saying the same exact thing! 😍this was so awesome
Em , my fav too...let's be friends. lol imma cry from the epicness
Twas indeed Brah!
Sure! Let's be friends! Such epic songs and the arrangement is brilliant!
Exactly! I was thinking the same thing ^^ i'm amazed
2:37 you can cure cancer with that hug
1:03 wow beautiful hit that note don’t stop x3
Man you guys got a low bass somewhere in there and he sounds awesome
Yepp, and his name is JC Fullerton. :)
2:25
Only a good soprano could sustain something like that. That unwavering power was great. Not to mention those beautifully executed head voice/whistle register. The harmonies and arrangements definitely managed to bring out all of the voices, the individual parts were clearly audible thanks to the clear and beautiful voices. Just, flawless...
Shinobi Vocals #greatness
L 2234 seriously though.😂 i'm jealous.
Shinobi Vocals Shes an Alto
Kate Lott is most certainly a Soprano. The octave under her was the tenor. No alto holding that note.
Small Pseudonym When I originally wrote this comment I thought that Chrystal was holding the note with the Tenor during that part, since Tenor/Alto lines overlap a bit. I discovered after a few more watched that it wasnt her.
I love how there has been such a resurgence of acapella singing in the last five years. So many groups: Voctave, Pentatonix, Home Free, Voice Play, etc. are creating incredible music. Each has a specific sound and do not really "compete" with each other for fans. They are all tremendous in their own right and are making fantastic music.
And the best part is that we can enjoy them all without having to choose a favorite!
This group is unbelievable! I love their arrangements and they are having so much fun performing. Great Video editing as well.
how did you guys fly under my radar for a year!?
Im listening to everything you have now
leojboby im asking the same here
pianosenzanima SAME
I know right? I want more 😊😊
Just found them!
God this was great. I kept getting the shivers, especially from the high pitched soprano. I love her voice.
Now we can cry...
THE BELLSSS bells OFFF of NOR-TRA-DAMEEEEE
I got goosebumps about five times while listening to this
Carol of the Bells with the Bells of Notre Dame? Genius!!! :-)
Voctave are truly the Avengers of Acapella singing.
They always put me in such a good mood. My only regret is that they don't tour in Europe...
Christmas time is here! I cannot wait to listen to Voctave Christmas music all month long! Praise be to God, for real for real! 🔔🔔🔔🔔
Brilliant as always! Harmonies were so tight
Tu comprend ce que je dit ? Je suis français
Brian Baudouin il dit que les harmonies ces't brilliantes. Je suis Americain est je parle francais
Johnny Gutierrez merci et bravo à toi car la langue française est très complexe
Brian Baudouin out ces't tres complexe
Johnny Gutierrez lol ou en français mdr
I would love to hear the live recording while in the cathedral with all the reverb.
Chills!!!
I need the confidence of the woman in plaid tbh
Tiffany is really great!! She so enjoys and really gets into her music. Fun to watch!!!
I’ve just found Voctave. Very impressed.
Happy Listening
Look up their website....the Christmas CD they came out with last year is amazing!!
The entire arrangement was wonderful, but that high D tho! Kate came through as always, and my man EJ held it down for the tenors!
His note was a D5?
omg that tenor note on the last notre Dame. takes me back to the movie. kudos to that tenor I will definently look at your other arrangements for my own group :)
Matthew Lindsay I think that was the soprano.
Shinobi Vocals I meant the Indian guy. But yes you are correct on the soprano
Matthew Lindsay oh! Heh sorry
He's hispanic, not Indian.
thanks! also... EscapingLabyrinths is correct... lol
I love how you can tell they had an absolute blast performing this song and recording their video!
just coming over from Jen's video and i am in tears i love this so much! one of my favorite Christmas carols mashed up with music from my favorite Disney movie! this will be on repeat well into the new year!
As a huge fan of music, a capella, Disney and Christmas, I can't handle this. It's too much amazing! 😂😍
Princess Bre I'm honestly over here fan-girling lol and I'm a guy.
Its not Disney song
@@DailyFact51 The beginning and end sounds like "Hell Fire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Bells of Notre Dame is Disney
@@MichaelEavesMusic lol
When I saw that Voctave had covered this, I prayed for two things:
1) EJ Cardona absolutely nailing the part of Clopin.
2) Kate Lott with some earth-shattering soprano notes in the stratosphere.
Thank you, Jamey Ray and Voctave. You heard my prayers.
That, was absolutely divine.
The only thing that could have made it better is if you had included this part from the beginning of Hellfire:
"Confiteor Deo omnipotenti,
beatæ Mariæ semper Virgini,
beato Michaeli Archangelo,
sanctis apostolis, omnibus sanctis."
The choir of monks singing that just sends chills down my spine, and I'm sure the effect would be magnified tenfold with you guys doing it. If there ever was a choir of angels on Earth, it's Voctave.
Kate, you are an absolute angel. Every time you open your mouth to sing my heart soars. Please NEVER stop. I am 100% enthralled with Voctave!!!
I come back every year to listen to this. SO so good.
I'm not even exaggerating when I'm saying I've watched this video about 40-50 times! Your voices could cure cancer!
This just combined one of my favorite Disney Soundtracks with by love for holiday music and I cannot stop smiling!! Lovely! What a creative and effective arrangement and brilliant concept for a mashup!
So glad to be a supporter on Patreon for this fantastic group!
From 1:07 My Jaw hit the ground HARD!!!
This is human vocal performance AT ITS PEAK!!!!
Every year. This is the start of my Xmas season. That tenor! OMG.
Same!
I'm so happy now... Thank you
I have no words. I'm a long time high brass player and my most notable experience is with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps. The beauty and power of each chord and from each voice blows me away. I've never heard this type of power or finesse from anything other than a world class drum corps hornline. Voctave has a lifelong fan in me.
I literally got chills. This is by far the best rendition of my favorite song. You guys are amazing. Thank you.
I've been watching and rewatching for YEARS and I still get chills⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄⛄❄
CHILLS. Bells of Notre Dame is one of my favorites.
Holy soprano!!
Complete and total perfection and harmony times 11, every time I see this. The best, ever. Love you Voctave, so much!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THOSE WONDERFUL BASSES AND THAT SOPRANO!? (literally everyone did well and was amazing, but being a bass in choir also i just looovvveee hearing fellow bases. Sopranos are ALWAYS NICE.)
I've always loved the Bells of Notre Dame from Hunchback and I'm thrilled to find Voctave has transformed it into a beautiful Christmas song complete with altered lyrics to fit the season. I must have watched this 100+ times already!
Merry Christmas to whoever is reading this
Besty1201 Videos Merci! Tu es certainement quelqu'un de spécial toi!

Merry Christmas 2018
For the past two years, I have been magnetized towards this song as soon as November begins. Carol of the Bells is my favorite holiday song, and I love the Hunchback of Notre Dame more than is probably healthy. In short, this is magnificent. I love it. If it were up to me it would be played in Disney stores during the holiday seasons.
have you heard the rendition from Voices of Lee. Well worth a listen :)
They all seem so friendly! 🥰 I would definetly have a cup of tea with them while talking about music ☕
This mix is extremely smart, I loved it!
Hands down to everyone! but man those the bass singers are legit real and rocking it. the sheer talent and awesome creativity shown in your vids are reasons why i want to study music!!!
I know it's nearly Christmas when I start listening to Voctave over and over again !
THAT WAS *BEAUTIFUL*
it had lots of energy, lots of pasion; IT'S JUST *PERFECT*
Amazing! I'd love to see you sing "Do you hear what I hear"...I'm sure it would be great with your fantastic voices and all the joy you bring in your performances
Can I second this motion???
I would SMASH that like button a thousand times if I could!!!! As a lover of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, this is absolutely AMAZING!!!
These harmonies and voices are simply amazing, can't believe what I hear. Pure beauty, thank you ladies and gentlemen of Voctave!
I love how they all look like their having so much fun. This makes me so happy
Omg their happiness is so contagious XD i somehow both laughed and cried out of joy
And you guys at 2:36 omg let me join in on that hug!

wow, definitely diffrent I will not say anything negative, no no, I liked the arrangement for sure
Tim Cole +
Absolutely fabulous! Our choir is singing this and we have been inspired by the brilliance of this rendition!
Amazing singing. Pure joy. I really enjoy Carol Of The Bells when it is dark and stormy. This arrangement is just too happy. You should feel the wind driven sleet blowing through back alleys of London at midnight. Where, at first, you can hardly hear the bells, but you turn the corner and they become deafening.
