Even Saiyan Saga Goku was absolutely busted in terms of power considering even Vegeta was established as easily being able to bust planets. People are forgetting how crazy Dragon Balls power scaling is.
Marvel has some stronger characters than Dragon Ball, but that doesn't mean it's power scaling is worse. Most Marvel characters would get bodied by Dragon Ball characters. To say Dragon Balls power scaling is nothing to other verses doesn't really make sense considering Dragon Balls power scaling is pretty notorious
From my vision he is more like a second story going in parallel with Gon's story and it gets connected here and there. It's something like Scrat stories in Ice Age movies (it was the first comparison that came to my head sorry) He is there, he interects here and there with the main characters but u can't say he is one of them cuz he has his only line going on (In Scrat case it is just jokes but with Meruem is an actual character arc). In really old dragon ball, there was an episode that goku saw through an illusion. There is a good chance in ssjg/ssjb he can see through some mangekyo sharingan type stuff. ACTUALLY no, ssj is a x50 multiplier, and goku has a god base now (that one episode where beerus said "your body adapted to the god power" and he fought beerus in regular ssj). like there is so many articles and stuff about dragon ball people can forget what happens lmao, goku isn't invincible, but he's pretty stacked.
Villains on this list: Kaguya- Dude, Goku would not even NEED to transform to obliterate her. On top of that, she can't damage him and she can't steal his chakra at all because why? He doesn't HAVE any. He has ki, which is not the same thing. Ryuk- The Death Note only works on HUMANS, which Goku is not. Even if it COULD work on Goku, Ryuk wouldn't know that "Goku" isn't even Goku's real name. It's "Kakarot". Plus, Goku has fought spirits before, granted when he was dead, but still. Truth: Literally the ONLY ONE on this entire list that Goku would actually need to even power up against Meruem- "Can take and/or catch Goku's strongest attacks without even flinching"? Let's see. Meruem got almost killed by a NUKE. Goku fought a god and their clashes risked the entire SEVENTH UNIVERSE being destroyed. Come back to me when Meruem, or anyone in his series, gets anywhere NEAR that strong, which they won't. Itachi- Genjutsu only works on those with chakra, which only exists in Naruto universe, so it can't affect Goku at all. Dio- "HUMAN Dio is as physically strong as Goku"? Hmm, let's see. Human Dio hurt Jonathan back when the latter was a normal everyday human while Goku fought MOON BUSTERS as a KID. Ragyo- could more than likely contend with any Goku before Saiyan Saga since she's apparently moon level, but literally ANY Goku after that saga solidly slaughters her. Madara- Goku would quite literally kill him in less than an INSTANT if that was his nature. As you can see, this entire list is full of villains that CBR, which itself claims to be "unbiased" claims Goku would need to go UI, or even very slightly power up against, in order to beat, and only ONE of them actually is.

Also Ryuk may be a death god, but apparently can be defeated very easily. Assuming Ryuk is touchable, then Goku would decimate him easily... But hold up didn't Goku fight Spirits, ghosts, before?! Welp! I take all of that utter trash back. Ryuk is FUCKED! CBR you make no sense. In the words of 6ix9ine (I never thought i would ever use this man's name for something useful) "ARE YOU DUM, STUPID, OR DUMB?!" Think again CBR. (FUN FACT: I almost got banned on CBR's YT and website, for only spitting knowlegde at they asses about Fusion ranks, and Goku's speed and maximum weight lift. They said 40 tons was his maximum?!! NOOOOOO, far from it. He did that with no ki whatsoever (powerlevel of 0. Proved and confirmed there is a such thing a a power level of 0. This proving ya boy can lift hella more than 40 tons. Agree to Disagree.) 8. *The Truth (Fullmetal Alchemist)*: Very very convincing argument, but Truth is known for far greater feats than Goku, but.... Goku would probably still come out on top for his Tenacity, and could very well use ki-blasts since physical attacks do not work on him. Ki isn't a physical attack, it is an energy attack, thus ending Truth. 7: *Meruem (Hunter x Hunter)*: His power doesn't even match Goku's at all. A simple flick from Goku (Coach: TECH! Get yo Bitch ass outta here!) and he is gone! Period. He is way slower than Goku, and hella weaker than him. Did I forget to mention within the manga, Meruem has a power level of 408,000? OOps my bad. I didn't know Namek Saga goku with Kaioken x10 (during Ginyu Arc) could kill this man. Frieza Saga Goku would destroy this man easily. Thank you, Next! 6. *Itachi (Naruto)*: The genjutsu wouldn't work at all. He is immune to mental attacks after what happened before the ToP (tournament of Power). 5. *All for One (My Hero Academia)*: One for all has to have quirks to absorb. Goku's power isn't altered by this because it isn't a quirk. his transformations are not even a quirk at all (they can never be one because it is the bloodl of the saiyans, not the transformation itself). Even without transforming Goku would swipe All for One's shit. End of discussion. 4. *Dio (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)*: Um.... Defeat on Dio, nothing else. Even Part 3 Dio, Goku has experience time skip abiities and has ways to overcome them. So easy win for Goku. 3. *Ragyo Kiryuin (Kill la Kill): "As Strong as Cell" Um this is Super Goku we are talking about. Even GT Goku beat Cell as a kid. so.... Who wins exactly?! Cell was over 13-14 years ago. goku could mess Cell up in his Base form. Cell is nothing to Goku now. Even Pan would be able to beat Cell and she is just a baby. CBR! I agree with everything, except for Truth. Mainly because Truth is a universal constant in any world where alchemy exists, it's kind of like erasing a concept from existence, which Goku hasn't shown the ability to do.

In really old dragon ball, there was an episode that goku saw through an illusion. There is a good chance in ssjg/ssjb he can see through some mangekyo sharingan type stuff. ACTUALLY no, ssj is a x50 multiplier, and goku has a god base now (that one episode where beerus said "your body adapted to the god power" and he fought beerus in regular ssj). like there is so many articles and stuff about dragon ball people can forget what happens lmao, goku isn't invincible, but he's pretty stacked.

I agree with everything, except for Truth. Mainly because Truth is a universal constant in any world where alchemy exists, it's kind of like erasing a concept from existence, which Goku hasn't shown the ability to do.

Frieza; Piccolo; Moro; Beerus (Ik it is out of order, bare with me); and so many more people. Goku is also able to wipe things out of existence with a lot of strain afterwards. Vegeta can do the same thing (now in the manga). Might wanna recheck that whole "Goku hasn't shown the ability to do so thing." I'm only saying that because if Goku can stand against them all and either defeat them, or put up one hell of a fight against them... then he is able to do the same thing. No question.

In Naruto, the *strongest* characters might have been able to destroy a planet. Goku can do that shit no problem. And the power levels get lower from there.
