I do the same with mopping - after everyone leaves as people use their shoes inside. (Not my choice, but when there is a big group I let it go…😅) The idea with lasagnas from Costco is very good. I will make sure to buy some and have it in the freezer. And the salad bar is a great idea. That’s where I get stuck the most - I know, crazy! But I do… I want to put the dressing over the whole salad but then I don’t know what to put exactly in the salads…and so my mind goes overthinking stuff. So I usually have whoever is coming bring the salad or I just buy a premade kit from Costco. We had 20 people over for Labor’s day (kids included) and it was a great time. We mostly cooked together and the ladies helped me clean up at the end. Usually when they come for get togethers they don’t leave until the kitchen is clean and the dishes that are hand washed are put away. I don’t ask - that’s just how they are (culture maybe). I am getting more and more relaxed with hospitality as I practice it more. Also….I use the robot cleaner to go through the house while I am in the kitchen cooking. And at the end I do a quick vacuum of the kitchen.
