Ya it really hurts sometimes with family. The man I would consider my father passed 5 years ago from cancer. Meanwhile, my bio dad hasn't done a lick of kindness for me since I was born. I have never heard him say he was proud of me even once. So, anytime I see this stuff about good fathers or good familial relationships, it nearly gets me in tears. I sincerely hope you have a safe place to stay. Family is what you make of it. Blood means jack all in the grand scheme. Find the people you'd be proud to call family.
