Yup, you guys are right, a 4 cylinder. I am going to do this to the wife's 2007 Tucson (4 cylinder also) this weekend. This process reminds me of my 2008 Accent when I did the alternator replacement about a year ago. Thru the bottom you might as well change oil (you have to pull the oil filter) and thru the top you drop the coolant since the radiator hose comes off. On the accent I opted for thru the top, as the week before I had the oil changed. It was not too bad of a job thru the top on the Accent, and suspect about the same for the Tucson.
@@seanricciardi3780 Glad to hear Sean. Not too bad of a job on either of our vehicles. On our Tucson it was close to the miles to change the oil, so I pulled the filter and went out and in the bottom for the alternator.
Big thanks goes out to you for this one. I changed mine today and am glad i found this vid. The other videos looked like a pain in the ass. This way was actually easy. I drove out the lower bolt not knowing it just sit in a channel. Bolt just needs to be loosened, then the alternator can be pulled up and out.
mine is at the back bottom... its a v6 pretty sure its different than the v4. I was hoping you were right! I checked mine and was so confused lol thanks though! great video
@@markgary2813 my uncle replaced the alternator on my 07 V6 before he passed away in 2022. and it was its original that gave out in 2021. so hopefully i won’t have to touch it again for decades cus the next time. i’m on my own lol

Ty, your way of taking out coolant over flow n fan saved tons of time. Alt bolt was still hard to take out but not too hard. Ty.

2.7 the alt is in the rear of motor you must have a 2.0
2005 is in the back bottom
I think its the v6
if it’s the 2.7 6 cylinder then it’s in the back bottom by the passenger side tire.
