I dag kjører vi fra Oslo til Førde i en Volvo 9700 DD. Målet er å teste om bussen egner seg som ekspressbuss på Norske veier. Flere og flere ekspressbussruter i Norge blir i dag kjørt av dobbeltdekkerbusser. Vi har testet denne nye Volvoen på Sogn og Fjordaneekspressen. Bli med på tur!

In Mexico we have the Volvo 9800 DD and it's the same model as the 9700 DD but it has a more curved design on the sides and the equipment offers greater comfort since in Mexico the bus is our main means of transportation. 👋

This coach is built in Finland at the Volvo Carrus factory. This information is also in the video. If you build a motor home out of this one, you will be the first one in the world :)

I have noticed that VY's 9700DD have tires 315/70-22,5 and not the normal 315/80 tyres. Is the spear tyre on the right side, under the podest, behind the front wheel like in Setra DD?
This is details we don’t know about. You have good eyes 😊
En lavere gearing vil måske løse problemet. Hvis du har en ren SCR slipper du for variabel turbo og EGR ventiler, hvilket gør motoren mere simpel. Fin præsentation...

Elsker volvo. Men har en god idé ta å lagg en film om dei nye dobbel dekker på strakevei ruta Stavanger til Bergen.det hadde vært veldig fint

Hei, jeg elsker videoene deres. Dere har vel hørt at det kom nye EL-busser til Oslo på mandag, og at dieselbussene snart forsvinner. Kan dere teste de nye EL-bussene? Også de gamle før de forsvinner. Spesielt Volvo 7700 CNG som hadde sin siste tur på lørdag?
Tusen takk for gode ord! La oss se om vi får fingrene i en ny elbuss. Normalt bruker leverandørene å kaste busser etter oss, men nå har det vært helt stille. Håper på endring i bransjen for denslags.

That would have been great! We have a good dialog with Irizar, but after the pandemic, we haven’t been able to go to Spain. Maybe this year? :)
hei vi er med Volvo 9700 dd dobbeltdekker buss fra Stanger til Bergen på gruppetur, jeg og 3 andre personer satt helt øverst foran, vi fikk tatt veldig rene bilder og til og med en ren video fordi jeg holdt min iPhone mot vinduet, hilsen, weedze braem ut Belgia, Adinkerke

Liker de nye dobbeltdekkerne. Det å sitte oppe og foran på de i en 2+1 løsning er veldig komfortabelt. Men har også lagt merke til at det hender disse bussene blir blåst av veien. Sikkert ikke uproblematisk med så mye "vegg" når det blåser.
Har sett at noen av VY sine Setra har tusenmetere ettermontert ved skiltkassa.

Det har vært tilfeller der dobbeltdekkere blir blåst av veien. Men, det blir også vanlige busser. En 9700 HD er bare 17 cm lavere enn en Volvo 9700 DD, så vindfanget er så å si det samme på en vanlig buss, som på denne dobbeltdekkeren.

Would have been nice, but the Tourliner never got a market in Norway. So it will be hard to make a video in Norway 😊
Beautiful coach, but the driver looks clumsy seated. The seat belt is too high on the shoulder, touching his neck. The steering wheel looks too big and the mirror camera monitors too high, so the driver has to look up as well as sideways. Still, I would love to test drive it.
I hope you'll be able to test drive this coach in the future!
I've driven all types of coaches in 30 years. The last one was the Double-decker Scania Irizar. The problem is the luggage space in case you make a trip. You need to attach a trailer. Congratulations on the video and presentation.
If you go to Greece by bus and have to get on the islands it will be very difficult. It climbs backwards and the plane is very sloping. These coaches are only for regular liner races.
I've been all over Scandinavia several times but with normal coaches. The trails are very difficult.
