Dude I am having the same issues AGAIN on my tsi. Absolutely fun to drive but would not recommend buying this car unless you are rich. And if your filthy rich buy something better
Hello. I liked the video and the easy explanation you have made on the issue. I will allow myself to ask a question - I have an a4 b8 with the cdnc 2.0tfsi 2009 engine. I have a similar problem with P030200 P030000. The problem occurs only when the car is idle (under 1000RPM), once the RPMS exceed 1000-1200 the problem stops and the car runs without issues. So, when the car is idle the whole vehicle shakes and you can even hear the misfires from the exhaust behind the car. The only errors registered were the 2 mentioned above and nothing else. As far as I know the chain is ok, the injectors are new, the plugs were changed, the cylinders and the valves are fine (or so I am told), there was a repair done for the issue with the oil consumption on these engines (the head was opened again after that to check if everything is ok, they told me everything is fine), there is no carbon build up on intake valves. I have tried the official dealership and other high end car services, they all can not locate where the issue is, so here I am. Do you have an idea on what can be the cause or how should I proceed?
its not easy to diagnose bad guides that have failed in the way that this engine has. It would require in cylinder pressure sensor with an oscilloscope, and even then you would have to have advances skills to know what your looking at. I certainly dont claim that. The ones like this I diagnosed through process of elimination.
Good explanation! I have a 2011 VW CC with the code p0300 I’ve already changed camshaft and crankshaft sensor as well as mass air flow sensor and coils are good I don’t know.
Can’t get no one in my area to do relearn procedure for crank and camshaft sensor and when I tell some mechanics they’re like I’ve never heard of that so I guess ima just trash it!
@@SergioHernandez-bl3yl this Vw Tiguan doesn't have a "relearn" procedure, so your "some mechanics" are right. The test done in this video is for testing and diagnostic purposes.
In some models of VWs, a bad injector wiring harness will cause a P0300 usually accompanied by P030X (X = cylinder # that is misfiring). I am not certain about your CC. Unfortunately, on the EA888 engine, the injectors live underneath the intake and you may have to remove the intake to test the wiring harness.
Going off the broken lock tabs you talked about in this video. Have you ever considered doing a video showing a wide variety of electrical/ vacuum/ sensor plugs commonly used on VW/ Audi and how to get them apart without breaking anything?
Awesome video very in-depth 👍👍 So I bought a NO CRANK NO START 2011 Tiguan that’s throwing a bunch of codes P0299-P304 and P12A2 P0507 & P2187 and pending codes are Pretty much all same plus P0016. I tried manually cranking the motor a couple small turns but W/O a lift it’s tough to get in there. Do you have any good advice for me I’m trying to figure it out myself.
If the p0016 reoccurs I would worry its out of time, meaning major engine damage. If it jumps time and the pistons smack the valves it has no compression. That engine usually damages all the exhaust valves. You can hear a lack of compression because the engine cranks over super easy. You can identify this with compression guage or with boroscope through the spark plug holes. Watch the following video. th-cam.com/video/fKn5NqNR7T8/w-d-xo.html
Can carbon build up cause misfire on cylinders and rough driving at low rpm? Also epc and check engine light? It all started with cold start misfires but car drove well.
