Thank you for producing this wonderful segment! I was born and raised in Port Huron but live a couple hours away now. This brought back so many fond memories of the place I will always consider “home”.
My dad and grandparents lived there. I remember visiting and loving it. I’d love to go back wish I could connect with some relatives or people who knew them. The McIntyres.
I used to like it when it was down by the water the festival but I've been living out in Las Vegas now I've been in Las Vegas 30 something years but I'm from the Port Huron area
I grew up in Port Huron. I wouldn't call it "cosmopolitan" but after being in the military and traveling all over the world and now living in the South, I'll say it was a pretty neat place to grow up. I graduated high school with Tyson.
Honestly it wasnt a surprise this was the first place to go in Wrigley Center (that whole place was doomed from the beginning, thanks Freed, Repp and Larry Jones). The whole hipster, prohibition aesthetic was worn out 10 or 15 years ago.
Don't listen to this, what a load of rubbish!! Main street is practically vacant, the marina is a joke, and Don't try to get to the lake even shoreline park is camping only to get there for a picnic you have to park over the road and tramp over a bridge Also try and find a restroom...good luck!

A great episode. I can't wait to visit Pirt Huron July, 2024.

Heh, not a local, but I saw those guys and thought this must be a really old episode of UTR at first. Same reason.
Is that country music super star Drew Jacobs at 21:52 ?!?
