You still don't know me after everything we've been through, & these other people need me more." Looking forward to seeing where things go in season 2, but I'd be very surprised if they actually made her a full on villain. Josh & KJ are much better suited to each other, anyway.

The music playing was, "If You Were Here" by The Thompson Twins, which was the song playing when Jake and Samantha (Sam) kissed at the end of the 80's movie, "Sixteen Candles." The ending should have been Eli coming back and uniting everyone in the mall while secretly breaking the 4th wall telling the viewers that he is the new leader
Josh: **makes his way through challenging areas and decisions and has to lead a whole mall of kids all by himself just to get Sam back.** Sam: Haha, *No.*
Unpopular opinion: Sam Dean is a frowned upon character just because she represents a strong-willed and opinionated girl who has had enough shit about the patriarchy. I understand where the hate is coming from: we empathize a lot with Josh cause the story is told from his perspective which is very much similar to Tom’s character in 500 days of summer where both make the girl his everything and get disappointed if things don’t end up with how they expected it to be. Loved episode 8 especially cause we see a whole other side of Sam where she establishes her own person. Powerful scene was her response to Josh’s i love you: “You don’t know enough about me to know if you really love me.” Here we see that she’s no saint that Josh would’ve led us to believe. She says she’s not a queen, but to me, she’s the motherfucking queen.
jbk92124 I personally understood exactly what happened with those last few episodes. It can be argued that Josh was never in love with Sam. He was in love with the idea of Sam, the filtered for Insta Sam. That’s why she isn’t painted with the rose tinted lens in her perspective episode. I feel like Josh will be a bit more wary now that the veil has lifted.
I agree with the point that they dont fit together, but what is that bullshit about Patriarchy? We dont live in one, lol. And she didnt seem strong willed or opinionated. She is a teenager who still tries to find herself. Like she even said it in the show
Ayachooo all i’m saying is she pointed out the stigma of gender role expectations. Like how unfair that a guy gets to be a stud, the more women he has slept with meanwhile a girl gets shamed for it and gets called a slut. Yeah sure, she may be just a kid who’s still trying to find her identity. But she sure did deliver strong and valid arguments and spoke the harsh truth
The part about her being "strong-willed and opinionated" isn't what I disliked. In fact, those are the only things that are of redeeming quality. I just didn't like how stale Sam Dean's character is. As far as I know, Sam Dean doesn't have much of a personality. The only thing that could save her from being bland is becoming a semi-villain. Not enough to the point of hatred, but leaning more towards the chance of redemption and hopefully, lots and lots of genuine character growth.
The world ended, I didn't see any patriarchy in the video. Simply the stigma surrounding sex and it's place in our society. Not to mention that she appears shallow most of the time, when interacting with others she more or less changes to fit them. Which is why she will make a good villain, because people won't realize she is manipulating them. But it also brings to light many other social problems, such as the Cheermazons, representing misandrists, women who hate men. Where as many in the community of the jocks represent misogyny. It demonstrates the destruction of both once the principal comes in with the nuclear missiles and such. But really, you can watch it without any of this in mind. People place meanings on to film that the directors may not even want to portray. Because that's what humans do, see things when there isn't really anything there.
Too bad that AMC has two or three Walking Dead spinoffs in addition to the original. And it isn't Netflix, which put itself into the position they're in by greenlighting so many shows, and only a handful aren't canceled after the first season.
Cameron Ross it’s underrated because it has good humor that other shows don’t have, and irony that other shows don’t have, and it still teaches a lesson at the same time
I think that Sam and Josh will come to blows a few times in Season 2. It seems Sam can run the jocks with Mona, but Josh has Angelica, Wesley, Crumble, KJ, and the unexpected allies of Cheermazon Veronica, and Turbo. Most of the power players. Could be a civil war....... At least until we find out the secret behind why Crumble isn’t feral, or what Burr was. I’m betting an deadlier mutation for the Ghoulies.
I think the shock at the ending was partly because we spent most of the time in the show listening to Josh's thoughts, his take on how the whole thing went down and we kind of saw the events through his lens as well. And we forgot that just because Josh thinks it, it doesn't mean it's exactly how things are. Sam had her own thoughts, her own decisions and frankly, this side of her was slowly being foreshadowed throughout the series. Which isn't necessarily bad, she leads people very well and for her to assume the role of leader is actually very reasonable. Even I was shocked but I recognize it's simply because the ending didn't reflect the usual tropes in TV. Anyway, I'm just stoked for season 2.
YEEES, finally someone to agree with. Danm, this one was hard to find. I don't understand why people are saying Sam is shitty and blá blá, since we don't know her yet. I find it interesting how they were constructing Josh to be a hero searching for his princess, then suddenly he reveals he treated her like garbage, and that he himself knew he was shitty for that and took time to reveal it to us. After Josh was gone, Sam had no way of knowing he was sorry, or that he was searching for her. The only thing left was the way he treated her. And also, just cause he is sorry doesn't mean she needed to accept him back. This kind of thing gets me heated cause people want the same kind of shitty content forever "The good guy saves the girl from the bad guys, and the girl forgives the good guy for whatever he has done and lives happy forever, or at least, the girl lets the guy fool around with her."
The final couple episodes had so many emotional moments... Eli's Death Thinking that Miss Crumble dies The show making you think that one of Wesley or Turbo is going to die Seeing everyone unite to take down Principal Burr Finding Sam (but the ending feels like josh's storyline was pretty much pointless) Watching Josh get the news that his dad passed without him getting to say goodbye This show better have a S2, this is the 2nd best thing I've ever watched on Netflix

i feel like everyone has their own group. josh is the leader of the daybreak group, and turbo's group needs a new leader, which should have been mona lisa. since turbo decided on the last episdoe to help josh, he would be considered a daybreak. sam being the leader of every group isn't fair, since both turbo AND josh were leading way before her. if eli were still alive, him, turbo and josh could've been the leaders. season 2 better bring eli back.
Was I the only one not quite so shocked by the ending? Not sure what but felt like Sam showed she wasn’t quite who she let people perceive her to be in the flashback where Josh finds out his dad died. Just her attitude towards everything was off to me, I didn’t really like her after that episode
The entitlement towards women in these comments is unsettling, just because a guy pursues a girl doesn’t mean she owes him, good for Sam for rejecting josh, josh went through a lot of good character development but that doesn’t change that he was so shitty to her, although fair dos he lost his dad, if a guy slept with me then called me a slut he’d loose his kneecaps. Loved Angelica, Eli, KJ, Wesley, Miss Crumble and Mona Lisa, wish they got more screen time, every actor and actress did so great in this, such a funny, cool, vibrant show

i loved episode 8 but didn’t because i related to it heavy, felt a bit woke after seeing that if someone treats you like shit you’ve gotta deal with it
Season 2 here we come baby! I'm stoked 🔥
I hope seasone 2 comes fast
Anestis Manetas Netflix In the corner like *season1 Came 2 weeks ago chill your ass down*
Imagine Sam makes her little leadership twist group into her tribe and then josh n the others make there own tribe then the final episode of season 2 is josh being kinda forced to kill sam then she hits him with the last "I love you too".
Bruuuuh
Bro I need 👏🏼 season👏🏼 2👏🏼
I want Josh and KJ to make Sam jealous 😂 and that she turns back to Josh, while KJ falls in love with someone else 💋
WHOSE with MEEE 👏🏼
There is a petition going around to save the show! Make sure you all sign and share the petition with everyone you know (Friends, family, and etc...) ! Apparently, the director said if we receive 25k signatures there is a good chance of a renewal. : www.change.org/p/netflix-daybreak-season-2
he was young Sam Winchester!!!
Will there be a season 2
It's cancelled
10:00 u hear that we all love but then he realizes what he’s about to say so he changes to like
I am begging you, give me the 2nd season
i feel like everyone has their own group. josh is the leader of the daybreak group, and turbo's group needs a new leader, which should have been mona lisa. since turbo decided on the last episdoe to help josh, he would be considered a daybreak. sam being the leader of every group isn't fair, since both turbo AND josh were leading way before her. if eli were still alive, him, turbo and josh could've been the leaders. season 2 better bring eli back.
PLOT TWIST....
SAM:I AM THEIR LEADER
NEGAN FROM THE WALKING DEAD: IS ANYONE PISSING THEIR PANTS YET!?!?
Damn bro she said if walking dead can be on 10 seasons daybreak can get 2 ... why Netflix #savedaybreak

Loved Angelica, Eli, KJ, Wesley, Miss Crumble and Mona Lisa, wish they got more screen time, every actor and actress did so great in this, such a funny, cool, vibrant show
Netflix is stupid to cancel such a great show this was the best i have ever seen
Young Sammy Winchester!
I hope we get to see more clans instead of only 3. 3 DIDNT feel enough for a season
The saddest moment was when Eli died...
Also when he did I was, for some reason, feeling Josh + Eli vibes
Was it really that shocking ? Predicted it since episode 7 and a feeling some episode 3 .
The show was awesome… Still mad at you for Nietflixin‘ this show 📝😒
Does Anyone Know That There Will Be No Season 2?
yep, once again Netflix ruins another thing
@@connorg7144 imo i really loved that series. i watched all of it in 3 days..
I started the series last night and just finished it. Its an ok series so fare. Ending shocked me thats for sure. So i guess sam will be the villain in season 2????
Well josh should go for the asian girl KJ
This man really rocking that Justin Bieber cut out of the show too 😂😂
He said in the coming season
Yeah unfortunately Netflix announced Season 2 was canceled 😔
@@eclipzeman www.change.org/p/netflix-daybreak-season-2
i hoped for a happy ending
I'm pissed we're gonna miss an epic "Obi Wan vs Anikan" like battle
Sam already took the highground
The Daybreakers aren't gonna bow, not after everything they've been through. Which is gonna cause beef with Sam Dean and her goon squad
I loved that show, cant wait till season 2
it got cancelled
@@heyitsdubem4462 what! Really?!?!
This dude is 23?!?! I totally believed he was only 17 in the show
Me in 2020 knowing it’s cancelled:😬
