Not that I would care to compare The Warning to the Beatles but an absolute fanatic all of my life, and I’ve existed since 1961. I would classify Escape The Mind to Paul’s Yesterday. Sincerely. It’s good to have Beatles fans amongst the ranks. It’s not all about the sound but the variation and deversity of the sound and then add the lyrics makes its meaning reach more deeper. That’s what true musicians do, to touch people. Develop the theme and lyrics around to convey the message.
I believe she was just 11yo when she, a native Spanish speaker, composed and wrote this in English. This song, along with the other ballad written about the same time, Fade Away (one of my all time favourite songs, not just from them), shows how insightful, confident and forceful this young lady is. Huge kudos to Dany for the thanks I know all the band feel for their wonderful parents. Now you all know where the girls get their beauty from!
Great to see the whole family, you can see how all enjoy and then a fantastic performance from PAU. She's a very complete artist but also big compliments to DANI and ALE. Together they make this concert amazing good. THE WARNING - THE GREATEST BAND ON EARTH

Jay Embee - oh wow. I missed that EP. I only have XXI Century Blood album. However, her singing that today is way better than the original EP version from 2015.
Matthew Anderson. Hi - As Paulina has grown up her voice has developed the power and intensity to let her really do justice to the beautiful songs she has written. This is a superb version of Escape the Mind. To me, the live versions of The Warning’s songs have that extra energy and edge.
WOW!!! hearing Pau sing this song again in 2018....maybe it's me I don't know but I seem to detect a little bit of Joan Baez in her voice....I know that may be a stretch because comparing anybody to Joan's voice at this point in their careers might be a little to early....lol but it's hard not to call it what it is....Pau sounds a little like Joan Baez....AMAZING!!!!
Just out of curiosity given your comment I looked up Joan here on youtube, only times I randomly listened to her voice before was from the songs she did with Dylan, but wow!, what a voice, incredible how underrated she has been.
Both of them have great voices, but I think Pau writes better lyrics and sings better material than Joan Baez did. Watching this in June, 2024, I can't wait for The Warning's fourth album… and for the band to start writing songs on their own again.
