The gate track has a proper concrete base which allows for the easy installation of the Centurion D6 Smart sliding gate motor.
To prevent a unsightly electrical cable, it was decided to drill two holes in the concrete in order to allow for the electrical cable to be hidden away from sight.
A groove could have been cut, but the groove would have been visible even when filled with concrete.
A steel platform was created by using 50x5mm steel flat bar.
The flat bar was welded down and bolted into the concrete.
While this was being down, Amanda engraved the clients details onto the gate motor. A visible engraving could deter would be thieves.
With the steel base in place, the gate motor was welded down into position.
The gate motor was level, upright and parallel with the steel sliding gate.
The steel rack was then welded together to get a 4,5 meter single section of gate rail.
The gate rail was then welded onto the steel sliding gate by using 40x40x3mm steel angle brackets of at least 50mm wide.
The 50mm wide angle brackets gives plenty of support when heavy steel sliding gates are automated.
Steel angle brackets were welded down 500mm apart.
Start up and end points are reinforced as the most force is used during start up situations.
The gate motor limits were programmed via the mycentsys app.
The gate motor must not vibrate at any point when the steel sliding gate is moved.
