She's not great with Kokomi, though, because of the -100% crit rate thing. That means you're missing out on that multiplier, and so are better off using the charges with someone else on the team, someone who can crit.
@@Axterix13 she is not the GREATEST but it works and becouse kokomi autos have low scaling its not that bad. yes she miss on crit scaling but she scales with healing boost so she have other stat. i saw her doin 27-28 autos so if u want it can work, and as we all know low scaling attacks at base benefit greatly from yun jin buff
fischl already was a phys DPS monster though... that was proven long before 1.5 even launched.... with tools now, and the yunjin buff, not shocked if fischl can reach 100k phys hits now.
Fishl is usually the first my mind jumps to for normal attacks.. She easily keeps full stacks for the pale flame (probably much easier then anyone else), has access to superconduct and is a fast hitter
Yoimiya is the one who benefits the most from yunjin, but also other fast normal attackers like childe, razor, ninguang, fischl, phys zhongli... all work pretty well too
nope. Childe and Fischl absolutely destroy. They get a higher overall percentage change to their dmg than Yoi. Phys Zhongli might also be really good too since he attacks so fast.

Moga, smt to consider: characters that scale of hp or def are the few that are actually worth leveling up, up to lv 90, even if they are filling only a supp role (like Yun Jin, Diona, Albedo or Bennett), bc those stat increase with each lv. Just keep it in mind.
@@bookworm8649 you should watch some more guide vids, the value you get from leveling up up a support may be more than what you imply, and we are not just talking about the dmg or the numbers of the support when we use value. Value applies to every single thing the support affects directly or indirectly. Also, you speak way to generally? Obviously charas that are, I dunno 🤷♂️ Take a Main dps that scale only from their ascentions and not their base stat as example. Those are not really worth it and it's just a commodity for those who can and want to do that, but those type of chara and others that have a similar situation in terms of scaling when you level them up were not included. I have no idea if you were including those type of scaling, you speak waaay to generally man, I'm trying to guess what you were trying to say.
@@bookworm8649 the atk increase is low. So for atk scaling characters lvl 90 is not worth it But the hp and def increase is rather high. So going to 90 on these characters is worth it

@@bookworm8649 some characters add directly to other character's base stats, so the more you have, the better the payout. The damage equation can scale HARD off base stat increases like bennett and yunjin. more so, if there's any characters you use for reactions that aren't melt or vaporize, then their level is the biggest influence off damage dealt, so you'll want those to lv90 too. Anemo characters should be no less than lv90. And some other good comps like Firework and Sukokomon really need levels too. Also add on that there's a level difference mechanic as well, which also can affect damage dealt. simply put, it's best that you get your main squad as high level as possible, then decide on who to build next.
Razor, jean, kokomi, eula, yoimiya, tartaglia, fischl, Noelle, chongyun are the main contenders I could see having potential off the top of my head, it would mean playing some of them slightly differently like main DPS fischl or Childe instead of element applicators. Razor makes a lot of sense as he has to normal attack. Jean heals as she normal attacks so tanky and damage? Maybe you could somehow make an aloy build but her kit doesn't really work.
Ninnguang is also a unit that works surprisingly well with Yunjin. I thought at first that she wouldn't be good since most of Ninnguang's damage comes from her CA and burst, but Yunjin doesn't deal more damage based on Ninnguang's CA's, and the fact that Ninnguang triggers two small AoE autos with every N1, and that she needs to do two of them before each charged attack means she is really good at proccing Yunjin's stacks. Yunjin also provides Geo Res for Ninnguang, they are an underrated pairing!

Yun Jin seems to fill the role of balancing broken and not so broken characters. The characters that benefit from her most are the ones that need a little more boost to their damage and the ones who don't benefit are generally doing well enough on their own. Of course you could just use Bennett or Mona to give an overall attack buff, but I like Yun Jin's kit, play style, and overall design better and she modifies the way you use other characters, which adds another level of interest. OH, and the fact that the buff travels with you and you're not confined to an AoE is huge! Combine Bennett, Mona, and Yun Jin with pretty much any other character and they're bound to be cracked.
When I get a copy of Yun Jin for Lantern Rite, the first thing I'm going to do is try her with my phys Rosaria alongside Zhongli and Fischl. I think that could be a really good team.
@@ThingNumberTwo2 yeah im planning on building phys rosaria with beidou, yun jin, diona. my rosaria uses jade spear so her attack is high already making yun jin perfect. zhongli is ideal, but im probably skipping on that account unfortunately. theres also the option to use xingqiu for more damage resistance and damage and have no healer.

pro tip for getting the perfect counter on the tap every time: step on burning grass when you tap the E, so you never have to worry about timing the incoming hit.
i feel like mhy is releasing a bunch of new niche supports to "end' the era of Bennett, im not shitting on him, he'll still be a really good OVERALL support in the future (since the massive atk boost and healing). but since mhy is releasing more niche supports along with non atk scaling characters, Bennett'll slowly fall off the meta
Yeah I’m kinda tired of seeing him in every comp, I’m glad that some alternatives are coming out to add some much needed variety into viable team comps. That’s mostly why I hate meta, it’s always the same but with a different dps or something

@@TSH425 Because Bennet is boring as fuck, it’s annoying to have one character that’s there to just simply use their burst and stay off field otherwise. At least with Yun Jin and Shenhe their skill can also be useful and interesting other than just gathering energy to use their burst and then stay in the sidelines until their burst is up again. Meta in a PvE game is a joke and it’s not fun. I’m a Yoi and Kokomi main and I’m having a blast. Waifu/Husbando > Meta

Honestly, I think MiHoYo realised that they released a way too broken character as a four star and now are making all the other four stars niche to make it up to it. I am willing to bet that if Bennett was a 5 star, people would have saved all their primogems for his banner to come around. (Edit: All that aside, even though Bennett is a really broken unit, for me it's fairly boring to keep using him in all teams. The newer units are really exciting because they actually need some thinking and creativity from our side, so I don't mind these 'niche' four star characters whose kits are a bit more complicated than the old, simpler ones.)
Yeah we’re finally getting some Bennet alternatives, to me Yun Jin seems much more viable than Bennet since the buff follows you, other than the fact that she doesn’t buff charged attacks I prefer her a lot more

Yunjin's normal atk buff should work really well with Eula since to charge her Q she will need to keep attacking, and u wont use charge atk with eula, u usually do normal atks, and she would get a decent buff there. I didn't get yunjin yet so i havent tested this myself.
from what ive seen, yun jin is best with yoimiya eula and noelle main dps. but it comes down to "would it be more dps to swap yun jin with another buffer or off-field sub dps", so it needs more testing. best of luck with your wishes! :)
she's certainly not bad with eula, the only setback is, yunjin would take up a spot from one of eula's supports (electro, shielder/healer, battery) and imo, it isn't really justified for the buff that she gets. i'd rather keep my raiden and get a burst buff.
@junior razor would definitely benefit from her too. not xinyan though, as most of her dmg comes from her charged atks afaik. but if youre keeping her for the shield/physical res shred then that sounds like a good team :)

With Yun Jin, the meta has shifted! Now any character you want can do dmg with normal attacks: Mona, Amber, Sucrose, Xingqiu, Diona (etc...), hell, even YUN JIN HERSELF can become a dps with the help of Yun Jin's burst. Imagine the possibilities

Yunjin would be really good for Razor, Dps machine gun Fischl, dps aloy, as well as physical kaeya because kaeya's strongest hit is his last normal atk hit
I think you hit the nail on the head with Yoimiya and Eula being the best pairings for her, maybe Ninguang as well, though you do lose out on the maximum boost...
Yunjin and Shenhe insert their bonus damage really early in the formula. So the several thousand they add is subject to crit damage, element boost, etc. They also happen to pair well together with chongyung in a quick swap team. For quotas yunjins 30 is for the whole team. Shenhes 5/7 are per character and thus 20/28 for the whole team.
Disclaimer- Iam not a Bennett hater! I think Yunjin is really interesting. I don't have her but after seeing her in action she is really interesting. The new 4 Star supports are maybe not as good as Bennett like he is a all rounder for support. Bennett is amazing but I think people forgot to try something else too. People use Bennett in everything and simps for him crazy but you all should try some other characters too you know. I am sick of hearing Bennett, Bennett and Bennett. Try these new supports

I lvl all my characters and play mostly non-meta comps (whichever characters I feel like pairing/playing) and I've gotta say, Bennet sucks balls in most of those. Bennet only works in comps you can afford to sit still in his ult or trigger other utls from there then move.
So, Yun Jin's Q gives a % of her current DEF to only normal attacks (not charged or plunged) which is affected by damage%, crit, shred, amplifying reactions. Think of it as Zhongli's passive where he does additional damage based on his HP. Or Kokomi's Q. Yoimiya is indeed a great candidate, but note that her E (which states NAs deal 150% damage or whatever) does NOT affect Yun Jin. Basically she wants teammates with many hits, low multipliers, and even low attack (sacrificing it for better dmg%/crit stats). C1 Fischl is buffed by Yun Jin, but Iron Sting passive is not. Some other good candidates are: - Xiao (it's a sidegrade to his plunge build) With 4piece glad and Yun Jin, his NAs deal around 50% more dps compared to plunges, sacrificing of course the AoE) The reason being, his Q dmg% DOES affect Yun Jin - Keqing (also a side grade). NA4 Charged becomes pretty strong. - Razor. He doesn't benefit AS much because he does have big multipliers, but it's not bad. - Ningguang. All her attacks hit twice, and both are buffed by Yun Jin. Ning's attacks can deal triple the damage, the caveat being that Ning prefers to do charged / burst over NAs. - Noelle. Yun Jin is an okay teammate but Noelle tends to have a huge ATK value, and relatively lower crit stats (compared to 5* who ascend on crit). As such, Yun Jin's buff will be smaller. Something to note, for me personally Yun Jin buffs Noelle more than Gorou. This might change at C6. Also about Yun Jin and Gorou: Yun Jin gets the 25% DEF from his Q, but since the DEF from his E only lasts 2s, she cannot make good use of that. Finally, Yun Jin can make any lackluster DPS decent, if you're not super concerned with what's meta / abyss. Qiqi main DPS? Waaay more viable than without Yun Jin.

Yunjin can works pretty well with Yoi, but Bennett is also a great increase of Yoi dmg, so it's difficult doing a team without these two. Without one of them, Yoimiya will miss a lot of dmg potential. The best teams imo: Big Numbers team (without reactions): Yoimiya, Kazuha, Yunjin and Bennett Double Resonance Team: Yoimiya, Zhong, Yunjin and Bennett Vape Yoimiya: Yoimiya, Xingqiu, Yunjin and Zhongli (Can work without Bennett, but Yoimiya will need some atk boost, since she will have low atk)
it is flat increase but it gets multiplyied by crit dmg, elemental dmg bonus of charcter that trigger it, their weapon and set bonuses, as well as enemy defense and resistance reduction and reactions so elemental mastery as well
Okay, moga said that he always confused when the buff is labeled as normal attack buff but doesnt count when he is doing charged or plunge attack,it doesnt count because as the shimenawa buff you can see its said normal/charged/plunge get boosted,which mean that if the skill said normal attack get boosted without mentioning charged or plunge that mean the only one that get boost is the normal attack,there is another proof that normal and charged is not labeled as one,in the new event the one of the potion can boost a normal attack by 20% and there is another potion that said it will boost 20% of your charged attack,you can see that both of them are diffrent,of course i dont blame moga since the basic attack skill name is labeled as normal attack
Defender's Will isn't worth it over four piece Husk. Husk with its stacks is 54% defense, plus it is available in five star. That means more substats (5 stars start with 3-4, instead of 2-3), bigger substat numbers, and they can be leveled to 20 instead of capping at 16. And while you might be thinking that you'll use the flower and feather from the will set, since the main stat won't really matter there, those are the two pieces you'll have the easiest time getting decent stats on with Husk, while farming for the other pieces that can vary their main stat.
@@Axterix13 tbh just use whatever gives you more DEF% overall. if ya got husk flower & feather with atleast SOME DEF% substat itd be better then defender's will, but otherwise just use it. esp if you get DEF% subs on it
Yoimiya main here, Yunjin is a godsend. Before my Yoimiya was hitting 10-20k, now she does 20-30k with Yunjin burst. I don’t really enjoy niche supports, but Yunjin is a great addition!
They really did great with Yun Jin. I went into 2.4 excited for shenhe, but I think I'm more happy about having gotten Yun. Excited to build her up and start using. (but also that hu Tao though 👀👀)
zomg. Razor was right in front of your face. His entire kit is designed around normal attacks. And yeah, Childe with Rust, 4 pc shin and Yunjin is pretty POG.
She works the same way as Cinnabar Spindle, Shenhe, Zhongli and Thoma's HP scaling. Take an attack that does 150% of damage, you have 50% bonus damage and 100% crit damage, while you have 2k ATK 2k*150%(skill multiplier)=3k 3k+50%(damage bonus, like goblets)=4.5k 4.5k+100%=9k Now you add 1k from Yunjin (2k*150%)+1k=4k 4k+50%=6k 6k+100%=12k So you get a 3k bonus.
I really like her support gameplay and of course she's so pretty too, I still haven't got a single yunjin though I really want her, goodluck to all of ya guys

Not sure if anyone in the comments said this, but her buff can crit. It’s a flat bonus that applies after the BASE normal attack damage. Attack * the attack multiplier, then the buff gets added. So it is affected by crit and elemental damage bonus. If a character has fast attacking, low damage NAs (before crit and bonuses) she has a lot of value.
I though that she would be a great team up for gorou and itto because they yunjin and gorou could both support itto and buff is geo damage and normal attacks but since yunjin apparently doesn't buff charged attacks then I can see how she doesn't work with itto since that's basically the center piece of ittos kit.
It may be the centerpiece of his kit, but to get them properly (the stacks for his charged attack) he needs to either basic or use his E, so basic attacks are bound to happen

No, Favonius Lance is more useful with it's substat and skill which can benefit the whole team. Yunjin, Qiqi (Ocean Hued ATK%, with Favonius blade), Tartaglia/Razor, Bennett/Xiangling
The way I see it, I think she could still be good for Itto while building your charged attack stacks, especially during burst mode? So you can still do some big damage with Itto while building the stacks up
I know this is off the topic but i would really appreciate if u wanted to raise Beidou! She has been my main for a long time now and I really love her. Also little tip, if u wanted to see full damage on Beidou's E but didn't really practice that full counter, use Bennett's e to light up the grass, stand on it and just click Beidou's E. She will be the only 4* in the next upcoming banner that he didn't raise, but hope this helps and i really hope to see Beidou rased one day!
1:yun jins burst bonus dmg is dynamic, you dont need to optimize 4p husk stacks since it will go up well off field and is based off that, so ya no snap shoting gorou ether. 2:the bonus hits is best thinking it like crescent pikes bonus hit, but its tied to normal attack instead of seprate all togeather to get bonus's 3:the bonus attacks actually get a increase from all bonus % dmg crits of the attacking character, so the ones that look like to get a large increase from all of this oddly enough is people like ulting xiao since hes like +100% to normals and everything else tends to be like 160% bonus dmg(mines at 159% and hes at lvl 8 so a bit to increase from there to), under bennett ult my xiaos lvl 10 first auto(49.1%x2) goes from 4k to 11k, and if i max both yunjins ult and xiaos burst, i should be getting 13k, 14k with optimization of a few things. be it this is not exact and talent lvl dependent on exact lvl since they are completly seprate buffs, in my case its increases my xiaos autos by 63%-70% to each % which is 504%-560% which adding to lvl 10s ttl autos(745.1%) is a fairly decent amount. and remember xiao being anemo, he doesnt get reaction buffs like a vap comp,
They way to think about her damage is that she increases the multipliers on normal attacks by a flat amount. So if a character has a really low multiplier then that attack gets a mega huge boost. So when Yoimiya does a x2 low damage attack it gets boosted by a huge amount. On the opposite side characters that have really high multipliers barely get any benefit like claymore users. So physical Zhongli for example with his spin kick gets a really big boost in damage. Childe and Yoimiya are the most obvious examples since they have low damage but lots of attacks.
I am very interested in Yun Jin but I don’t have a lot of characters with high physical damage rn. I just started Genshin two weeks ago. Also notice that Yun Jin’s outfit is a mix of Lolita with Peking opera influence. She’s such a unique character.
On paper, because of the high number of triggers Yun Jin provides, she should be best used with a character with a high speed attack. Indeed, to get the most out of her buff, one should try to maximize the number of triggers they can get within 12 seconds. Therefore it seems polearm characters are good candidates because of the high number of hits they can score in a short time. Take Xiao for example, his Normal Attack combo consists of 8 hits. So if you perform his full auto attack combo twice and hits two enemies everytime, you'll happen to use all Yun Jin's Burst triggers and maximize the DMG you get out of it. Another thing to take into account is the DMG multipliers the active character has; Yun Jin's additional DMG will be modified by mutlipliers such as Physical DMG Bonus % or CRIT DMG % (for CRIT Hits) therefore it's another way to maximize the DMG buff you can get from her.
Yun Jin is the definitive buff for Noelle that we've been wanting... (Or me at least) She helps Noelle insanely, almost making her head to head with Itto (of course Itto is light-years away, but we have to consider he's a 5-star and Noelle is a 4-star that has been here since launch)

I couldn’t afford to pull both weapon and character banners, AND I didn’t want to be tempted to give the Redhorn Stonethresher to him. I wanted it for Noelle. Got it, thankfully. Now, combining this new BiS weapon on her AND Yun Jon’s buffs???? Am LOVING it!

@@ブラッス When the weapon rerun happens I would SERIOUSLY suggest going for it! She competes with Itto now assuming you have her C6. Crushes everything so much and has gone from being one of my best and favourite characters because of everything else she can do and being OK on damage, to competing with some of my heaviest damage dealers now too!
To explain the weird numbers, heres a lil something. The portion of def that gets taken is indeed always the same, and just gets added to the normal attack. However when ur normal attacking with hu tao, the additional dmg Yun Jin gives is multiplied with Hu Taos crit stats. Same goes for Zhongli, and every other possible option, obviously. This means that she really makes it worth hyperinvesting in to one normal attack based dps. She just uses their stats. Really nice desgin in my opinion, it gives a lot of room to experiment around especially with her ascension passives and cons. Also shes chep to build, u can get her stuff by the way when getting scammed on your artifacts. Hope that was helpful to y'all :)
i use her with my kokomi…. if u want a little recommendation: Ayaka, Kokomi, Yunjin. Ayaka ult-> Yunjin ult-> Kokomi ult for the third i’d say sucrose (or venti or kazuha)
if anyone want to know for context, my yunjin has around 2.3k def, my eula went from doing 13/14.5k on n1 and n2 to 18k/20k, with superconduct and benny buff that goeas all the way up to 32k/35k and sometimes more cuz of some inconsitencies, its really strong, and makes u deal about 120-140k damage on a full auto attack rotation, my 3rd E deals around 40-60k damage so thats about 160k-200k damage on a full eula attack rotation, its really strong and definetely worth it, especially considering that the spiral abyss now has a 60% physical bonus, myyunjin is lvl 80 with deathmatch and 1/1/8 talents, husk of opulant dreams set, have fun building eula yunjin :D
He will still be used, no one will ever be better, otherwise they’ll have another broken unit. Most of the time, his buff is as strong if not stronger at c0, for the 4 stars at least. It’s just a nice alternative so he’s not too universal
Actually, if you’re using less-meta setups like full-DPS Beidou and Xinyan etc. it could work quite nicely. And if you’re playing with Ning you should be mixing in several normal attacks before charge attacks, so over half of that damage would get buffed too.
use 2 piece defender’s will and 2 piece husk, it’s 4 star, but you can just use feather and flower for defender’s will. flower and feather really only boost hp and atk which doesn’t really mater when using her as a booster rather than sub dps
The reason her boost adds different amounts to different characters is because it's treated as a flat damage increase that goes in before critical damage. Because your hu tao likely has much more critical damage than your zhongli, the boost is that much more visible because it gets affected by the critical damage.
A decently built Noelle (with Redhorn Stonetresher!) works GREAT with Jin! I’m trying to get her talents up past 6 so I can really give her a spin!!! I use Noelle, Yoimiya and Eula quite a bit. Even have a hybrid phys-DPS Zhongli that I’m keen to see with her burst.
14:30 I think that's from the 4-piece husk, since it increases def and geo DMG bonus, and Yun Jin's buff scales with def. Apparently the buff doesn't snapshot. Interesting. If I get her, I'll try her with Childe
All of childe’s damage gets buffed because all the attacks in his skill counts as normal attack damage. She also works well with yoimiya since most of her damage comes from normal attacks. Obviously, she’ll also be really good for Ayato. The issue is just that she ONLY buffs normal attacks. Not charged, and not attacks that count as elemental burst damage. That doesn’t leave a TON of people she’s ideal for, but it’s never gonna be like she’s out and out BAD in any team. Plus, it is REALLY nice that she actually works well with rainbow teams.
Yunjin and Shenhe are basically Cinnabar Spindles, one for Cryo and the other for Normal attacks. It is a flat increase in basic damage. So, the higher the bonus damage are in the unit using their buffs (Cryo damage%, Normal attack bonus, etc), and the higher the crit damage is, the higher their buffs will be because they are also multiplied. That is why Yunjin is not that great of a choice for Kokomi, since Yunjin's buff would also not crit. She works incredibly well with Yoimiya, and she is good with Razor, Tartaglia, Noelle, and physical DPS characters. You can even test her damage on low level characters. Since your Razor is low level and with a Normal attack talent at lv 1, you can directly see how much damage she is doing with Razor's normal attacks (after at least equipping him wih some physical damage artifacts and some good crit rate).
Lately I've been running mostly with Eula, Yoimiya, Zhongli and one other either Pyro or Cryo for resonance (mostly Yanfei because I think she's a lot of fun). Seems like Yun Jin would be an excellent swap in for that fourth spot, but I hadn't even tried the golden wolflord prior to pulling her so I've got a LOT of farming to do. Worth raising to see, for sure, and so I don't feel so bad when I see +DEF% artifacts :D
thanks for the video moga!! you should definitely get yunjin to level 90 when you can, she benefits more from levelling up than most dps units as the base def increase is significantly better than base atk. she should be able to reach 3k def with 4p husk and her normal atk boost will be much more impressive :)
Yeah I was thinking about: Yoimiya, Yunjin, Albedo and Bennett. I think putting both Albedo and yunjin as supports in the same team could work really well indedd
Definitely a great support for main DPS Fischl, I like that she enables new team comps, same with Shenhe. Maybe 2 piece Husk and 2 piece Emblem would be good on her, perhaps with ER sands, DEF goblet and DEF circlet. Unless you run Favonius lance, then I guess DEF, DEF, Crit Rate might be better.
She would work very very well with Eula, bennett buffs mines normal attacks do 25-30k atk. I can imagine with yunjin is would go up a lot. Perfect for abyss when eulas burst isn’t the only thing needed. + it doesn’t hurt to kill enemies faster in over world.
For hu tao I think it is because her normal attack is buffed by yun jin normally (just like zhongli) then she applies pyro dmg bonus to the boosted normal attacks Edit: razor can use her boost too…
I dont think people realize this but at C6 for XIAO C0 even tho he is a burst character / anemo infuse plunge attack, his normals deal the same amount of damage as the plunges and are a lot of faster than plunging + the ATK speed increase paired with lets say Skyward Spine for additional atk speed XIAO because a normal attack God, Xiao C0 Yunjin C6 Bennet C5 and Zhongli.
well moga, she is good for yoimiya and eula maybe but she makes the underwhelming dps shine more so childe, since his stance change counts as normal attack, razor, fischl as dps, kaeya and maybe even diluc and such. but i would love for u try it with childe and razor the most.
she boosts childe e dmg, works with kokomi, razor, makes fischl a physical dps monster with max boosts and etc. makes weak charcters viable
She's not great with Kokomi, though, because of the -100% crit rate thing. That means you're missing out on that multiplier, and so are better off using the charges with someone else on the team, someone who can crit.
@@Axterix13 she is not the GREATEST but it works and becouse kokomi autos have low scaling its not that bad. yes she miss on crit scaling but she scales with healing boost so she have other stat. i saw her doin 27-28 autos so if u want it can work, and as we all know low scaling attacks at base benefit greatly from yun jin buff
fischl already was a phys DPS monster though... that was proven long before 1.5 even launched....
with tools now, and the yunjin buff, not shocked if fischl can reach 100k phys hits now.

Fishl is usually the first my mind jumps to for normal attacks.. She easily keeps full stacks for the pale flame (probably much easier then anyone else), has access to superconduct and is a fast hitter
The skill should've been named "default attack" and then it gets divided to normal, charged, and plunge attack to make it less ambiguous

Yoimiya is the one who benefits the most from yunjin, but also other fast normal attackers like childe, razor, ninguang, fischl, phys zhongli... all work pretty well too
nope. Childe and Fischl absolutely destroy. They get a higher overall percentage change to their dmg than Yoi. Phys Zhongli might also be really good too since he attacks so fast.

Moga, smt to consider: characters that scale of hp or def are the few that are actually worth leveling up, up to lv 90, even if they are filling only a supp role (like Yun Jin, Diona, Albedo or Bennett), bc those stat increase with each lv. Just keep it in mind.
Hu tao, itto, diona, albedo, bennett, yujin, and rock solid zhongli (least useful at 90 cuz thay shield is a bit scuffed alreardy, ur going overkill)
@@bookworm8649 you should watch some more guide vids, the value you get from leveling up up a support may be more than what you imply, and we are not just talking about the dmg or the numbers of the support when we use value. Value applies to every single thing the support affects directly or indirectly.
Also, you speak way to generally? Obviously charas that are, I dunno 🤷♂️ Take a Main dps that scale only from their ascentions and not their base stat as example. Those are not really worth it and it's just a commodity for those who can and want to do that, but those type of chara and others that have a similar situation in terms of scaling when you level them up were not included.

@@bookworm8649 some characters add directly to other character's base stats, so the more you have, the better the payout. The damage equation can scale HARD off base stat increases like bennett and yunjin.
more so, if there's any characters you use for reactions that aren't melt or vaporize, then their level is the biggest influence off damage dealt, so you'll want those to lv90 too. Anemo characters should be no less than lv90. And some other good comps like Firework and Sukokomon really need levels too.
Also add on that there's a level difference mechanic as well, which also can affect damage dealt.
simply put, it's best that you get your main squad as high level as possible, then decide on who to build next.
Razor, jean, kokomi, eula, yoimiya, tartaglia, fischl, Noelle, chongyun are the main contenders I could see having potential off the top of my head, it would mean playing some of them slightly differently like main DPS fischl or Childe instead of element applicators. Razor makes a lot of sense as he has to normal attack. Jean heals as she normal attacks so tanky and damage? Maybe you could somehow make an aloy build but her kit doesn't really work.
Your Choices are good, but i would disagree with Noelle. Her C2 gives her an nice Charged attack boost.
Ninnguang is also a unit that works surprisingly well with Yunjin. I thought at first that she wouldn't be good since most of Ninnguang's damage comes from her CA and burst, but Yunjin doesn't deal more damage based on Ninnguang's CA's, and the fact that Ninnguang triggers two small AoE autos with every N1, and that she needs to do two of them before each charged attack means she is really good at proccing Yunjin's stacks. Yunjin also provides Geo Res for Ninnguang, they are an underrated pairing!

Yun Jin seems to fill the role of balancing broken and not so broken characters. The characters that benefit from her most are the ones that need a little more boost to their damage and the ones who don't benefit are generally doing well enough on their own. Of course you could just use Bennett or Mona to give an overall attack buff, but I like Yun Jin's kit, play style, and overall design better and she modifies the way you use other characters, which adds another level of interest. OH, and the fact that the buff travels with you and you're not confined to an AoE is huge! Combine Bennett, Mona, and Yun Jin with pretty much any other character and they're bound to be cracked.
she makes 4 star physical much better! (rosaria, razor, fischal). yun jin pairs super well with zhongli for those teams.
When I get a copy of Yun Jin for Lantern Rite, the first thing I'm going to do is try her with my phys Rosaria alongside Zhongli and Fischl. I think that could be a really good team.
@@ThingNumberTwo2 yeah im planning on building phys rosaria with beidou, yun jin, diona. my rosaria uses jade spear so her attack is high already making yun jin perfect. zhongli is ideal, but im probably skipping on that account unfortunately. theres also the option to use xingqiu for more damage resistance and damage and have no healer.

Because Bennet is boring as fuck, it’s annoying to have one character that’s there to just simply use their burst and stay off field otherwise. At least with Yun Jin and Shenhe their skill can also be useful and interesting other than just gathering energy to use their burst and then stay in the sidelines until their burst is up again. Meta in a PvE game is a joke and it’s not fun. I’m a Yoi and Kokomi main and I’m having a blast. Waifu/Husbando > Meta

Honestly, I think MiHoYo realised that they released a way too broken character as a four star and now are making all the other four stars niche to make it up to it.
I am willing to bet that if Bennett was a 5 star, people would have saved all their primogems for his banner to come around.
(Edit: All that aside, even though Bennett is a really broken unit, for me it's fairly boring to keep using him in all teams.
The newer units are really exciting because they actually need some thinking and creativity from our side, so I don't mind these 'niche' four star characters whose kits are a bit more complicated than the old, simpler ones.)

Yunjin's normal atk buff should work really well with Eula since to charge her Q she will need to keep attacking, and u wont use charge atk with eula, u usually do normal atks, and she would get a decent buff there.

from what ive seen, yun jin is best with yoimiya eula and noelle main dps. but it comes down to "would it be more dps to swap yun jin with another buffer or off-field sub dps", so it needs more testing. best of luck with your wishes! :)

she's certainly not bad with eula, the only setback is, yunjin would take up a spot from one of eula's supports (electro, shielder/healer, battery) and imo, it isn't really justified for the buff that she gets. i'd rather keep my raiden and get a burst buff.

With Yun Jin, the meta has shifted! Now any character you want can do dmg with normal attacks: Mona, Amber, Sucrose, Xingqiu, Diona (etc...), hell, even YUN JIN HERSELF can become a dps with the help of Yun Jin's burst. Imagine the possibilities

Yunjin would be really good for Razor, Dps machine gun Fischl, dps aloy, as well as physical kaeya because kaeya's strongest hit is his last normal atk hit
I think you hit the nail on the head with Yoimiya and Eula being the best pairings for her, maybe Ninguang as well, though you do lose out on the maximum boost...
Yunjin and Shenhe insert their bonus damage really early in the formula. So the several thousand they add is subject to crit damage, element boost, etc. They also happen to pair well together with chongyung in a quick swap team.
For quotas yunjins 30 is for the whole team. Shenhes 5/7 are per character and thus 20/28 for the whole team.

I think Yunjin is really interesting. I don't have her but after seeing her in action she is really interesting. The new 4 Star supports are maybe not as good as Bennett like he is a all rounder for support. Bennett is amazing but I think people forgot to try something else too. People use Bennett in everything and simps for him crazy but you all should try some other characters too you know. I am sick of hearing Bennett, Bennett and Bennett. Try these new supports

I lvl all my characters and play mostly non-meta comps (whichever characters I feel like pairing/playing) and I've gotta say, Bennet sucks balls in most of those. Bennet only works in comps you can afford to sit still in his ult or trigger other utls from there then move.

So, Yun Jin's Q gives a % of her current DEF to only normal attacks (not charged or plunged) which is affected by damage%, crit, shred, amplifying reactions.
Think of it as Zhongli's passive where he does additional damage based on his HP. Or Kokomi's Q.
Yoimiya is indeed a great candidate, but note that her E (which states NAs deal 150% damage or whatever) does NOT affect Yun Jin.
Basically she wants teammates with many hits, low multipliers, and even low attack (sacrificing it for better dmg%/crit stats). C1 Fischl is buffed by Yun Jin, but Iron Sting passive is not.
Some other good candidates are:
- Xiao (it's a sidegrade to his plunge build) With 4piece glad and Yun Jin, his NAs deal around 50% more dps compared to plunges, sacrificing of course the AoE) The reason being, his Q dmg% DOES affect Yun Jin
- Keqing (also a side grade). NA4 Charged becomes pretty strong.
- Razor. He doesn't benefit AS much because he does have big multipliers, but it's not bad.
- Ningguang. All her attacks hit twice, and both are buffed by Yun Jin. Ning's attacks can deal triple the damage, the caveat being that Ning prefers to do charged / burst over NAs.
- Noelle. Yun Jin is an okay teammate but Noelle tends to have a huge ATK value, and relatively lower crit stats (compared to 5* who ascend on crit). As such, Yun Jin's buff will be smaller. Something to note, for me personally Yun Jin buffs Noelle more than Gorou. This might change at C6.
Also about Yun Jin and Gorou: Yun Jin gets the 25% DEF from his Q, but since the DEF from his E only lasts 2s, she cannot make good use of that.
Finally, Yun Jin can make any lackluster DPS decent, if you're not super concerned with what's meta / abyss. Qiqi main DPS? Waaay more viable than without Yun Jin.
id never considered a NA xiao but im definitely intrigued, will try it out. if its really better dps i can use that build when fighting bosses. thanks for the comment!

Yunjin can works pretty well with Yoi, but Bennett is also a great increase of Yoi dmg, so it's difficult doing a team without these two. Without one of them, Yoimiya will miss a lot of dmg potential.
The best teams imo:
Big Numbers team (without reactions): Yoimiya, Kazuha, Yunjin and Bennett
Double Resonance Team: Yoimiya, Zhong, Yunjin and Bennett
Vape Yoimiya: Yoimiya, Xingqiu, Yunjin and Zhongli (Can work without Bennett, but Yoimiya will need some atk boost, since she will have low atk)
You pointed out the good thing about yunjin, She can replace Bennett in yoi conps
it is flat increase but it gets multiplyied by crit dmg, elemental dmg bonus of charcter that trigger it, their weapon and set bonuses, as well as enemy defense and resistance reduction and reactions so elemental mastery as well

Okay, moga said that he always confused when the buff is labeled as normal attack buff but doesnt count when he is doing charged or plunge attack,it doesnt count because as the shimenawa buff you can see its said normal/charged/plunge get boosted,which mean that if the skill said normal attack get boosted without mentioning charged or plunge that mean the only one that get boost is the normal attack,there is another proof that normal and charged is not labeled as one,in the new event the one of the potion can boost a normal attack by 20% and there is another potion that said it will boost 20% of your charged attack,you can see that both of them are diffrent,of course i dont blame moga since the basic attack skill name is labeled as normal attack

Defender's Will isn't worth it over four piece Husk. Husk with its stacks is 54% defense, plus it is available in five star. That means more substats (5 stars start with 3-4, instead of 2-3), bigger substat numbers, and they can be leveled to 20 instead of capping at 16. And while you might be thinking that you'll use the flower and feather from the will set, since the main stat won't really matter there, those are the two pieces you'll have the easiest time getting decent stats on with Husk, while farming for the other pieces that can vary their main stat.

Yoimiya main here, Yunjin is a godsend. Before my Yoimiya was hitting 10-20k, now she does 20-30k with Yunjin burst. I don’t really enjoy niche supports, but Yunjin is a great addition!

She works the same way as Cinnabar Spindle, Shenhe, Zhongli and Thoma's HP scaling. Take an attack that does 150% of damage, you have 50% bonus damage and 100% crit damage, while you have 2k ATK
2k*150%(skill multiplier)=3k
3k+50%(damage bonus, like goblets)=4.5k
4.5k+100%=9k
Now you add 1k from Yunjin
(2k*150%)+1k=4k
4k+50%=6k
6k+100%=12k
So you get a 3k bonus.
She is great for yoimiya, razor, noelle. Kinda copium on Eula since her damage mainly comes from burst, not normals(but C6 yunjin looks Pog)

Not sure if anyone in the comments said this, but her buff can crit. It’s a flat bonus that applies after the BASE normal attack damage. Attack * the attack multiplier, then the buff gets added. So it is affected by crit and elemental damage bonus. If a character has fast attacking, low damage NAs (before crit and bonuses) she has a lot of value.
I though that she would be a great team up for gorou and itto because they yunjin and gorou could both support itto and buff is geo damage and normal attacks but since yunjin apparently doesn't buff charged attacks then I can see how she doesn't work with itto since that's basically the center piece of ittos kit.
It may be the centerpiece of his kit, but to get them properly (the stacks for his charged attack) he needs to either basic or use his E, so basic attacks are bound to happen

The way I see it, I think she could still be good for Itto while building your charged attack stacks, especially during burst mode? So you can still do some big damage with Itto while building the stacks up
I know this is off the topic but i would really appreciate if u wanted to raise Beidou! She has been my main for a long time now and I really love her. Also little tip, if u wanted to see full damage on Beidou's E but didn't really practice that full counter, use Bennett's e to light up the grass, stand on it and just click Beidou's E. She will be the only 4* in the next upcoming banner that he didn't raise, but hope this helps and i really hope to see Beidou rased one day!

1:yun jins burst bonus dmg is dynamic, you dont need to optimize 4p husk stacks since it will go up well off field and is based off that, so ya no snap shoting gorou ether.
2:the bonus hits is best thinking it like crescent pikes bonus hit, but its tied to normal attack instead of seprate all togeather to get bonus's
3:the bonus attacks actually get a increase from all bonus % dmg crits of the attacking character, so the ones that look like to get a large increase from all of this oddly enough is people like ulting xiao since hes like +100% to normals and everything else tends to be like 160% bonus dmg(mines at 159% and hes at lvl 8 so a bit to increase from there to), under bennett ult my xiaos lvl 10 first auto(49.1%x2) goes from 4k to 11k, and if i max both yunjins ult and xiaos burst, i should be getting 13k, 14k with optimization of a few things. be it this is not exact and talent lvl dependent on exact lvl since they are completly seprate buffs, in my case its increases my xiaos autos by 63%-70% to each % which is 504%-560% which adding to lvl 10s ttl autos(745.1%) is a fairly decent amount. and remember xiao being anemo, he doesnt get reaction buffs like a vap comp,

They way to think about her damage is that she increases the multipliers on normal attacks by a flat amount. So if a character has a really low multiplier then that attack gets a mega huge boost. So when Yoimiya does a x2 low damage attack it gets boosted by a huge amount. On the opposite side characters that have really high multipliers barely get any benefit like claymore users. So physical Zhongli for example with his spin kick gets a really big boost in damage. Childe and Yoimiya are the most obvious examples since they have low damage but lots of attacks.
I am very interested in Yun Jin but I don’t have a lot of characters with high physical damage rn. I just started Genshin two weeks ago. Also notice that Yun Jin’s outfit is a mix of Lolita with Peking opera influence. She’s such a unique character.
Use her for kaeya, he's also monster for physical atk
they seem to be warry of making any new characters as universally good as bennet where a new character could fit onto any team.

On paper, because of the high number of triggers Yun Jin provides, she should be best used with a character with a high speed attack. Indeed, to get the most out of her buff, one should try to maximize the number of triggers they can get within 12 seconds. Therefore it seems polearm characters are good candidates because of the high number of hits they can score in a short time. Take Xiao for example, his Normal Attack combo consists of 8 hits. So if you perform his full auto attack combo twice and hits two enemies everytime, you'll happen to use all Yun Jin's Burst triggers and maximize the DMG you get out of it.
Another thing to take into account is the DMG multipliers the active character has; Yun Jin's additional DMG will be modified by mutlipliers such as Physical DMG Bonus % or CRIT DMG % (for CRIT Hits) therefore it's another way to maximize the DMG buff you can get from her.
Yun Jin is the definitive buff for Noelle that we've been wanting... (Or me at least)
She helps Noelle insanely, almost making her head to head with Itto (of course Itto is light-years away, but we have to consider he's a 5-star and Noelle is a 4-star that has been here since launch)

Crushes everything so much and has gone from being one of my best and favourite characters because of everything else she can do and being OK on damage, to competing with some of my heaviest damage dealers now too!
To explain the weird numbers, heres a lil something. The portion of def that gets taken is indeed always the same, and just gets added to the normal attack. However when ur normal attacking with hu tao, the additional dmg Yun Jin gives is multiplied with Hu Taos crit stats. Same goes for Zhongli, and every other possible option, obviously. This means that she really makes it worth hyperinvesting in to one normal attack based dps. She just uses their stats. Really nice desgin in my opinion, it gives a lot of room to experiment around especially with her ascension passives and cons. Also shes chep to build, u can get her stuff by the way when getting scammed on your artifacts.

if anyone want to know for context, my yunjin has around 2.3k def, my eula went from doing 13/14.5k on n1 and n2 to 18k/20k, with superconduct and benny buff that goeas all the way up to 32k/35k and sometimes more cuz of some inconsitencies, its really strong, and makes u deal about 120-140k damage on a full auto attack rotation, my 3rd E deals around 40-60k damage so thats about 160k-200k damage on a full eula attack rotation, its really strong and definetely worth it, especially considering that the spiral abyss now has a 60% physical bonus, myyunjin is lvl 80 with deathmatch and 1/1/8 talents, husk of opulant dreams set, have fun building eula yunjin :D
I mean I think they are trying to release as many niche characters as they can so less people use Bennett

He will still be used, no one will ever be better, otherwise they’ll have another broken unit. Most of the time, his buff is as strong if not stronger at c0, for the 4 stars at least. It’s just a nice alternative so he’s not too universal
Actually, if you’re using less-meta setups like full-DPS Beidou and Xinyan etc. it could work quite nicely.
And if you’re playing with Ning you should be mixing in several normal attacks before charge attacks, so over half of that damage would get buffed too.
You should get level 8 in frost bearing tree so you have something to use the new characters on
use 2 piece defender’s will and 2 piece husk, it’s 4 star, but you can just use feather and flower for defender’s will. flower and feather really only boost hp and atk which doesn’t really mater when using her as a booster rather than sub dps
The reason her boost adds different amounts to different characters is because it's treated as a flat damage increase that goes in before critical damage. Because your hu tao likely has much more critical damage than your zhongli, the boost is that much more visible because it gets affected by the critical damage.

I use Noelle, Yoimiya and Eula quite a bit. Even have a hybrid phys-DPS Zhongli that I’m keen to see with her burst.

Meanwhile I had to co-op to beat him the first time and haven’t been able to myself since then.
All of childe’s damage gets buffed because all the attacks in his skill counts as normal attack damage. She also works well with yoimiya since most of her damage comes from normal attacks. Obviously, she’ll also be really good for Ayato. The issue is just that she ONLY buffs normal attacks. Not charged, and not attacks that count as elemental burst damage. That doesn’t leave a TON of people she’s ideal for, but it’s never gonna be like she’s out and out BAD in any team. Plus, it is REALLY nice that she actually works well with rainbow teams.
Yunjin and Shenhe are basically Cinnabar Spindles, one for Cryo and the other for Normal attacks. It is a flat increase in basic damage. So, the higher the bonus damage are in the unit using their buffs (Cryo damage%, Normal attack bonus, etc), and the higher the crit damage is, the higher their buffs will be because they are also multiplied.
That is why Yunjin is not that great of a choice for Kokomi, since Yunjin's buff would also not crit.
She works incredibly well with Yoimiya, and she is good with Razor, Tartaglia, Noelle, and physical DPS characters.
You can even test her damage on low level characters. Since your Razor is low level and with a Normal attack talent at lv 1, you can directly see how much damage she is doing with Razor's normal attacks (after at least equipping him wih some physical damage artifacts and some good crit rate).
Lately I've been running mostly with Eula, Yoimiya, Zhongli and one other either Pyro or Cryo for resonance (mostly Yanfei because I think she's a lot of fun). Seems like Yun Jin would be an excellent swap in for that fourth spot, but I hadn't even tried the golden wolflord prior to pulling her so I've got a LOT of farming to do. Worth raising to see, for sure, and so I don't feel so bad when I see +DEF% artifacts :D
thanks for the video moga!! you should definitely get yunjin to level 90 when you can, she benefits more from levelling up than most dps units as the base def increase is significantly better than base atk. she should be able to reach 3k def with 4p husk and her normal atk boost will be much more impressive :)
I have literally seen some insane Razor and Qiqi numbers, she is a great buffer jusr not for most the main dps 5 stars
She could probably pair well with albedo because of geo resonance and fast energy recharge
He also works well with normal attack DPS units

Definitely a great support for main DPS Fischl, I like that she enables new team comps, same with Shenhe. Maybe 2 piece Husk and 2 piece Emblem would be good on her, perhaps with ER sands, DEF goblet and DEF circlet. Unless you run Favonius lance, then I guess DEF, DEF, Crit Rate might be better.
She would work very very well with Eula, bennett buffs mines normal attacks do 25-30k atk. I can imagine with yunjin is would go up a lot. Perfect for abyss when eulas burst isn’t the only thing needed. + it doesn’t hurt to kill enemies faster in over world.

I think it is because her normal attack is buffed by yun jin normally (just like zhongli) then she applies pyro dmg bonus to the boosted normal attacks

I can't upgrade Yun Jins talent's since I'm saving them for Ganyu, but even at level 1 talents she boosts my yoimiya and childe a lot.
I dont think people realize this but at C6 for XIAO C0 even tho he is a burst character / anemo infuse plunge attack, his normals deal the same amount of damage as the plunges and are a lot of faster than plunging + the ATK speed increase paired with lets say Skyward Spine for additional atk speed XIAO because a normal attack God, Xiao C0 Yunjin C6 Bennet C5 and Zhongli.
well moga, she is good for yoimiya and eula maybe but she makes the underwhelming dps shine more so childe, since his stance change counts as normal attack, razor, fischl as dps, kaeya and maybe even diluc and such. but i would love for u try it with childe and razor the most.
16:00 she also increases plung dmg and thus Xiao is also a good teammate for her
i personally plan on using her with my physical kaeya and yoimiya, i think she would work really well with them
